Trang An Mountain House

Staff was extremely kind and helpful. I was not able to go because I became sick with food poisoning. The staff cancelled my booking free of charge and were extremely kind and understanding throughout the process. I must mention that my booking had a cancellation fee and the property removed this and cancelled for free. Thank you!

This has been one of our best stays in Vietnam. Son and the rest of the staff are literally 10/10 and genuinely kind and amazing people. The accommodation is super comfortable and surrounded by beautiful mountain views. We will certainly be back and stay here again!

5 stars!! Lovely cabins in a beautiful location with the most friendly hosts. The big breakfast included in the price was so much appreciated! Perfect location for getting to the Trang an boats, for experiencing the wildlife and a lovely break from the bustling city. The restaurant on site was also delicious! I couldn't recommend this place enough, one of our favourite locations in Vietnam

This was 10/10 our favorite hostel in Vietnam. The highlight was the family, who were the sweetest people we have met on our trip. We were initially concerned that the hostel would be too far from the main sightseeing locations, but its location was actually really great and in the middle of everything. We rented a scooter from the hostel. The surrounding roads to most of the places are not busy and are suitable for beginners. The food was fantastic. Beautiful hostel. Air-conditioning and pool were perfect for cooling down. Next time we are in Vietnam, we are coming back to this hostel.

We came for dinner and it was wonderful!! The man was very happy and smiling the whole time, he kept good company and lest us to chat as well all over a very good experience

We Stayed here for 2 nights, loved it! They have everything you need tucked away in the quiet mountains. The people who live here are lovely! Push bikes and motorbikes to hire and they showed us the best places to visit and arranged a bus for us, easily could spend a week hanging out here, nice and tranquil- play music if you want or just read by the pool

We had a fantastic stay! The bungalows and hotel area are very comfortable and the location is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is possible to rent motorbikes and bicycles to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Also, the food is very good :)

If you are looking for an authentic stay, this place is a must.

Not only are the facilities great, which includes a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, pool table, bikes, and scooters.

Haven’t even started listing the best part which is the family that runs this home stay.

The best place we stayed in all of Vietnam! Rooms are fantastic and clean, great pool, and the family is so nice and takes care of everything for you from bike rental to cooking amazing meals!

I had a great experience staying at Trang An. The owner has the best attitude and always has a smile. Very friendly, the room was nice, and the breakfast was excellent. The town is about a 15/20 minute ride, but the experience of being in the hills is worth the ride.

We had a lovely meal. The chicken with chilli and lemon grass was beautiful, tasty, flavourful and well seasoned. The fried rice with vegetables was served with fresh bok choi, greens etc. Lovely. Portions were large. Service was attentive and very kind. Reasonably priced all round and well worth a visit.

Our stay is wonderful. The room is so pretty and very clean. The hosts are delightful. Easy bike and motorbike rental. The price is reasonable for what they are offering.

I had food poisoning when I arrived here (not from this homestay but in Hanoi). When the owner, Son learned about this he took time out of his day to take me to the doctors, multiple times on his motorbike. He checked in on me often and made sure I was eating, drinking enough. He treated me like one of his family, inviting me to lunch, dinner. After seeing that I didn’t get a chance to visit the area because I was sick, he took me on a tour of Ninh Binh so that I could experience the city. I can’t stress enough how kind he and his family were to me. On my last day, Son came to pick me up from where I was touring in the mountainside so that I could have lunch with him one last time. He took care of all of my transportation back to Hanoi. I am deeply grateful to him and his family and if you visit here I’m sure he’ll treat you just as well.

In addition, the receptionist Chien was equally kind, and often took time to teach me Vietnamese. He often came to check in on me and keep me company during the worst times of my food poisoning.

I can’t recommend this nice, quiet and relaxing place enough. The rooms are huge and have really cool decor. It’s a family run business and they definitely take care of you. There’s also an extremely dog named Bo who always comes to greet you. You can trust the reviews on this place!

I was helped by a very nice guy here. I was stuck in front of this accommodation with a run out battery of a rental motorcycle. While having a lunch, I talked a guy about the failure. Then he has called the rental shop and they came to charge the battery. He even have rent a bicycle While I was waiting and I could visit Hoa Lu ancient capital. What a special kindness! Even lunch was delicious! I should have stayed here. I appreciate him for every thing he has done for me.

Amazing amazing stay! The hosts were more then accommodating. They were very friendly and the property was very beautiful. Rooms were clean and unique. We rented a motor bike from them, had a delicious dinner, free rice wine, and played pool. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience!

Beautiful homestay in a lovely area. Rooms are spacious and clean. Sun and his staff are super friendly, definitely recommend to stay here.

This is the most at home we have felt since starting our travels in Vietnam 2 weeks ago. The family go above and beyond to welcome you, with free rice wine from 7pm-9pm, friendly advice, delicious included breakfasts, and other meals have huge portions (we ate here EVERY day it was so good).
The beds are big, comfortable, free
soap, towels and can rent bicycles/mopeds.
Can walk outside along the river in the quiet and beautiful scenery.
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

I can definitely recommend to stay in this very comfortable and clean guesthouse/hostel.

When I visited, it was the very special tet-time, the new years celebration.
Even though, traveling was not as easy as usually and I was the only guest, I felt as if I was a part of the family - like a very welcomed guest!

The food was also very tasty and super quickly prepared after I went out of my room.

These people are beyond accommodating, friendly, helpful, and warm hearted. The hostel is fantastic and beautiful. Everything about the room was as stated, and the facility is unbelievably beautiful.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Trang An, look no further.

PS- they rent motorbikes here, and I highly recommend renting one to see the area if you are good on a bike/moped.

We arrived at 3am instead of 5am because our bus into town made such good time. They gave us a free night sleep in the dorms that night which had clean, soft, and comfortable beds.

All of their recommendations for things to see and do were amazing experiences. On top of all that, the owner drove me to pick up medicine for my girlfriend.

When I told them I planned to propose that night, I was immediately taken out on the back of his motorbike to arrange a cake, shop at 3 different liquor stores until I found what I wanted. The owner, his family, and all of the staff went above and beyond any chance they could.
