Such a beautiful place! I went with a tour package (Cozy) and it was an amazing experience. I went for the two hour boat rowing session - each wooden boat takes about 2-4 people depending on weight and you have a local guide rowing you through the valley and caves. But there are also 4-hour and 6 hour options if you're feeling ambitious!

10/10 would recommend visiting this place!!!

(PS this is where they filmed Kong Skull Island!)

We really enjoyed our boat tour. We chose route 3. Our captain rowed us through 3 caves, one of them 1000 meters long! We also saw 3 temples and a set for the movie King Kong! We went later in the day, and the shadows on the water were lovely!

This is literally the heritage of Vietnam. I am in awe of how beautiful the little islands and caves are.

You have the options of taking 1,2,3 or 4 hour(s) boat tour. If you do the longest journey, you will get to visit up to 9 caves, some temples and climb up to some of the most breathtaking instagrammable spots.

The wait for us was 30 minutes to get through the queue. We even went at 3pm when it is most crowded. But this was during New Year time so it is natural to have more people. Normally if you go at a different time in the year, you almost don't have to queue.

You can purchase tickets online but the actual queue at the booth is not long at all.

Best time to go in the day, probably before 12pm so there is less people and you can take pictures without the orange life jackets!

The rowers are local farmers who are just so kind and friendly. We tipped them a little and it made their day!

Ps: some locals may try to tell you the queue is too long or there is no tickets to get you to visit other attractions. Just pick up the phone to the office to check. You should be fine! Dont miss this place!

Scintillating Experience. There are 4 boat routes. All routes have caves. Look up google for the route paths. One of the routes has the longest cave, 1 km. You have to literally bend down to avoid getting your head smashes 🙂 If you are claustrophobic, avoid this route ⛔ The scenery was beautiful! Must see.

Di sản Tràng An in Ninh Bình is a hidden paradise that encapsulates the beauty of nature and the depth of Vietnamese history. Often referred to as "Halong Bay on land," this UNESCO World Heritage site offers a breathtaking landscape of limestone karsts and tranquil waterways.

Taking a boat tour through the emerald waters of Tràng An is to witness a nearly untouched world. The journey navigates through numerous caves and past historic temples, providing an unforgettable experience. The serenity and majestic beauty of nature are omnipresent here. The guides are knowledgeable and offer insightful information about the site's history and significance.

Beyond the boat ride, Tràng An also offers hiking trails leading to various temples and viewpoints. These treks are an excellent way to experience the natural beauty of the area from a different perspective.

The site is well-maintained, and efforts to protect this natural heritage are evident. The organization on-site is efficient, ensuring a smooth experience despite the high volume of visitors.

Overall, Di sản Tràng An in Ninh Bình is a must-visit for every nature enthusiast and history buff. The combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and good maintenance makes this place an unforgettable part of any Vietnam trip.

The best place to visit in Hanoi. The boat takes you around the whole island and stops in between on different islands having pagodas. The best part is when it goes from the cave. Once in a lifetime experience!

There is no waiting time, you just buy the tickets and go to the deck. A local will be rowing the boat.
You just choose which trail you want ( ours was number 3) .
In every boat 4 people + Local rower. So expect to sit with other people.
We passed by 3 caves, one of them was 1km long.

Well worth it to see the awesome scenery. We did route 2, which only had 4 caves - which was manageable for my partner with mild claustrophobia. On this route each cave takes 1-2 mins to pass through, but note you can't always see the exit from the entrance (but they are all well lit!).

Other than that, you get ferried around in a very scenic, peaceful set of lakes. I would recommend going early (9am) to avoid the crowds

5/5 for this place.
The boat ride takes around 1.5 hrs but you will enjoy every single bit of it.
It's a different experience. Boat ride surrounded by mountains from all sides.

Very sedate 2hr boat ride with great views. Takes you through a series of caves opening up into karst valleys.
The mountains tower over you with jungle pressing right up to the waters edge, giving you occasional glimpses of wildlife.

Lots of tourists on a saturday. Good scenery, and the caves were beautiful. The one rowing our boat was very corteous. The boats look sturdy and life vests were provided. We booked our tour from klook. I saw the cost for entrace posted was 250,000 VND which is a bargain!

Amazing boating experience. Under the caves are interesting. If possible choose route 4 as there is an additional place to visit. It was adventurous .
