Trang An Ecolodge

Beautiful resort with a tranquil surrounding. Wide variety of great tasting food. Staff were extremely helpful. Especially Dong? (Tom Cruise), he is always patiently explaining things to us and remembering all our dining timing.

We wanted to go out to the walking street at night and count get a grab. He called a driver for us, walked us out the the cab and made sure the driver gave us his contact so that he could send us back.

This place was gorgeous! The bed was the most comfortable I've experienced in Vietnam, firm with a nice cushiony top.

Staff were great.

The food was so-so. And I came during a cold time and the space heater they gave me didn't even come close to heating the room. But with an extra blanket, I slept cozy in my nest. Lastly, tho the bathtub was awesome, not enough hot water. I turned on the hot water to the tub and it was just a trickle.

We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel.
The nicest 3 star Hotel we have ever been to.
Come here if you look for some tranquillity out of the main touristic area.

The Trang An Ecolodge is surrounded by nature, a river landscape and has beautiful garden well-kept with plenty of flowers.
The pool set in the garden is great to chill out from the heat of this region.

The hotel staff was great, helped us to organize all the things we wanted to visit and all possible transport we needed.

The restaurant offers plenty of choice to eat.

The room is cozy, bed comfortable and very clean.

We highly recommend this piece of paradise!

If we mention a few things to improve the bath tub in our room had yellow stains & the outside sofas were also a bit dirty! And better if the room was a bit soundproofed 😊

Absolutely stunning outlook. Just out of town making it quite tranquil but close enough to take the free bikes and ride to the Trang An Complex and other sites or get a cheap 15 minute grab ride into Tam Coc. Clean rooms and absolutely lovely staff. The staff went above and beyond- on arrival we got dropped off very early by our overnight bus at 3.30am. When we called the lodge in a panic they made sure someone was there to meet us and although they had no rooms they set up lounge chairs with blankets for us sleep on until morning, very very kind!

Wished we had stayed longer.

Beautiful ecolodge. This was booked for us through our Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay tour. So happy this was our overnight stay in Ninh Binh.
Service was great. They carried our luggage through the path to the ecolodge and up and down stairs to our room on the second floor.
Room was clean. Comes with heater too for chilly nights.
Food was great. We got the thai hotpot. So yummy and warming for cozy night.

Tranquil Trang An Ecolodge wows with its peaceful vibes and stunning nature views. Perfect location near sights like Trang An and Ninh Binh center. Staff are warm and welcoming. Unique bathrooms offer nature views and bird symphonies during baths. Delicious breakfast, but limited in variety. Overall, a haven for nature lovers seeking an unforgettable Ninh Binh escape.

The staff is really friendly and besides the lack of English skills made us feel cared for. It's a beautiful well maintained place, perfect to relax and recover from the Ha Giang Loop. The restaurant was a blessing for us as the hotel is far away from the city. The food could be more well seasoned tho. The prices are ok. You need a scooter to drive around. They have free bicycles but they are very low quality. I wouldn't recommend a full day cycling with them.
The biggest low for me was the sewage smell from the toilet. The staff needs a bit more training to deliver the perfect breakfast as we had to ask for items refill every day. Overall I would definitely recommend Ecolodge to friends and family!

We loved the stay there so much so we extended one more day. Such a beautiful place and very friendly staffs. Because we are vegan so they made vegan pho for us for the breakfast. We really enjoyed it there. Thank you so much for everything.

One of the best accommodations. The room was nice and clean. Ambiance was peaceful and warm. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. Bikes(free) for you to explore. I was lucky to catch some sunrise . This is the magical place I want to come back again and again . Much appreciated …

The best place to visit the highlights of Ninh Binh! We had booked a tour, but I would suggest visiting all by yourself otherwise your guide will just rush the visit.
Take a night at the Trang An Ecolodge and you will be near all the best places to visit. They give you a bike for free or they can arrange a taxi.
The rooms were super nice, clean, good food and a nice swimming pool!

We spent just one night in between Ninh Binh and Halong bay. The hospitality and profesionality were excelent. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. We had time to have a bath in the swimming pool. They gave us nice towels. The place is trully out of this world.

One of the greatest accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was super supporting and friendly, always making sure that I have the best experience and service. Keep in mind that the entrance might be a bit tricky if you have large suitcases, but the manager was kind enough to help me brought the suitcases out when I left. Food was excellent and served in large portions for reasonable prices, definitely try out their goat dishes (Ninh Binh’s speciality). Free bicycles were available, so we took advantage of it and cycled to most tourists attractions (great experience)!!

The washroom is semi-open concept so it invites a lot of lil friends for a visit; may wanna avoid if you don’t like lil insects. But it was okay for us. Super romantic!

The best place we ever stayed for vacation. Everything was excellent. The food, staffs,rooms, and services are amazing. They gave us the reason why we are going back to Vietnam.

Nice and lovely place! First of all we like to say thank you to the owners of this Ecolodge as they tried to give our tour group the best possible experience. The owners are very friendly and always tried to answer all of our questions.

From the street we were skeptical about the Ecolodge as you are not able to see most of it. But after crossing the small bridge you come into a green paradise. The Ecolodge is not very big and shouldn’t be compared to a Hotel resort. The pool is very nice after spending the day in Ninh Binh and gives you a nice cold refresh.

The rooms are lovely and have everything you need for your stay (but please note that there is no TV!). The beds are almost too big for European standards but we did not complain as more is always better. The bathroom in the ground floor rooms are connected to the mountain and we’re a new experience for us.

Overall we can recommend the Lodge for a stay of a few days.

Only downside was staff came into our room without knocking while we were inside once by accident. Otherwise great experience!

This location is paradise. The gardens, pool, hammocks - the scent of jasmine as the sun goes down. Very generous meal servings. The bathroom could be a little bit cleaner but overall very clean.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Trang An area (the boat ride, Bai Dihn, and the visit to Hang Mua were all great!) The staff were incredible, the food was great, the room and grounds were clean - you can tell there’s a lot of pride in their homestay! We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but saw them cleaning it every day. They also had plenty of bikes to borrow (included in the room price). 10/10, would stay there again.

All of our family members (6 ppl) are very happy with our time here. We definitely will come back when we are in Ninh Binh

The homestay is family owned. We really feel that they put their hearts into the room/ food quality.

Customer service is very good. The staff here are local. They helped us plan our trip logistics (especially how to dodge the heat and avoid busy time at Hang Mua / Tam Coc / Trang An)

The food here is amazing as well (strongly recommend you order in advance for what you'd like to eat). They have 2 types of menus : 1 is tailored for foreigners and 1 is for local Vietnamese. We tried both of their menus, and they are all yummy.
