Ti Top Beach

The beach is quite good so sit on but if you have a spare dollar you can hire a deckchair. The sea is clean but a little cool on entry(February). To reach the observation post you have to navigate 200 irregular steep steps with little or flimsy hand rails. If you feel fit enough to reach the top the rewarding vista is worth the challenge.

Titov is an island with a steep, sloping shore with a flat, white sand beach. Cruise ships often stop here. Visitors go ashore to swim or climb to the top of the mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of the island. Looking down from above, Titov beach is shaped like a moon embracing the island's foot. Unlike many other tourist destinations on Ha Long Bay, in addition to the beautiful natural landscape, Titov Island also owns a beautiful beach, called Titov beach. Although the area of the beach is not large, it is quiet, airy and very clean. The sand in the beach is continuously washed by the tide up and down, pure white, the sea water is clear in four seasons.

beach was ok but the main draw of this island is to climb to the top for views. it’s a really strenuous climb that involves steep stairs though.

This was a fabulous place!! And the view from the top, after climbing all of those 437 stairs... OMG! Just simply breathtaking! 😍 It was definitely worth the hike!! The photos speak for themselves though, so no more words necessary

One of the best views in Vietnam!! Highly recommend to climb on the top of the mountain even if there are a million stairs but you won’t regret it!

Loved this place. In the halong bay. You can climb up to the mountain. And enjoy the breathtaking view of the bay. The water is really greenish blue. The climb up is little but hectic but worth it. The stairs are well built.
You can rest on the beach after getting down.

I do suggest to climb up the hill to the TOP for a panaromic view of the seas, the islands and the boats. It's a steep climb but the view is worth it!

Nice view on the way to ti top island but a steep climb up the mountain top to the temple is quite hard if you don't exercise frequently but later everything is worth it

One of the best spots in the HaLong Bay that you should drop by and visit. It was named after a Russian general who helped Vietnam during the war and to strengthen Ruso-Vietnam relation. On the island, they have a huge statue of Titop, some areas are still under renovation but they have a beach where you can dip for a few minutes or you can also climb up the 400 steps mountain to appreciate the view. The guide said it would take 15mins going up and 10mins going down. So if there are 400 steps up, expect 400 steps going down as well but the view up is so priceless and very much worth the exercise. Look at my sis' face when she reached the top :)

Situated about 14 kilometers from Ba Chay to the east of Halong Bay, Titop Island has an ideal and favorable in the complex of Halong Bay. It is considered one of the perfect stopovers on Halong bay as well as an ideal position for relaxing and sightseeing. Tip Top beach serves as a defend embracing all the island with its endless expanses of white and bright sand and peaceful atmosphere.

Ti Top beach shaped like a crescent moon and known for its tranquillity and beautiful still blue waters. Its sands have been dyed white by the ocean’s surf creating a perfect picture of paradise.

The Ti Top island was named after the Russian cosmonaut Gherman Stepanovich Titov who together with President Ho Chi Minh visited the island in 1962. Titop island has since become a popular tourist destination and provides many services catered to tourists.
Titop island Halong bay is also “Cemetery Island” by locals. In 1905, the French cargo ship was in distress due to the incapacity of the wrong navigation. Their bodies were buried on this island so the island’s name caught on.

The beach is perfect for water-based recreational activities like swimming, snorkeling, and other water sports. There is a bar on the island where you can rent all kinds of swim gear and stop for a few drinks.

Deckchairs are available. The beach offers welcome refreshment in the hot summer months and even after sundown you can go for a walk and enjoy the moonlit beach for all its nocturnal glory.

I Visited Ti Top Island and it was well worth. A reasonable amount of fitness is required to climb up to the top (approx 400 stairs) . Thr views are magnificent at the top.

Nowadays, Ti Top island becomes an attractive beach for tourists and has adequate services. Different from other popular tourist sites in Halong bay, Ti Top island not only possess breath taking romantic landscapes, but also has a heavenly beautiful beach called Ti Top which is perfect for any beach activity. The beach is described as the crescent moon encompassing the island. Although it’s small if compared to other beaches in Halong bay, Ti Top has it’s own strengths. With pristine white sand, clear and blue water, small waves, fresh atmosphere that create great space for tourists to relax. The beach also is an ideal destination to cool off when the heat starts to get to you with many beach activities like swimming, kayaking and other sea sports. Thanks to its beautiful landscapes, Ti Top draws a huge number of visitors during summer time. There are many ways to get to Titop Island but tourists often consider between two options:

A stand-alone day trip: For those who have little time or know their wanted destinations in Halong, they often choose a stand-alone day trip: a trip to visit only Titop island. This option, of course, helps you to spend the whole time in your dream destination and not waste your time in other destinations that you don’t like. However, its weakness is that you can feel the full beauty of Halong Bay only a trip to a destination of this bay.
A cruise to Halong Bay including Titop island trip: This option is preferred by almost all tourists. It’s the easiest way to visit Titop island.

There are two periods that tourists visit Titop island most:

From June to July: This is the time that most travelers from Vietnam and Asian countries choose to cruise around Titop island.
From December to February: Almost all visitors from Europe, America and other countries in the temperate zone visit Titop island.
The off-peak time that the density of tourists is low is from April to May and from August to October. At this time, there is less touristy so the price is lower.
To avoid the crowds and save your budget, you shouldn’t come to Titop island in the peak season.
To have the best price and avoid disappointment, book the cruise in advance.

It is nice place at Halong Bay, but if you want to the top hill, you must have extra energy, because it is so high and many step, around 450 step to the top. I am so tired to get there.. Ahahaha,, but if you dont want to hiking, you can swimming at the beach, play sand, relax at the beach, playing football, playing volley or many more... You can also find some food or drink at there if you feel thirsty or hungry,but i don't know the price, but I am sure that are more expensive because of the located is on the tourist area

nice place to chill, do not forget your hat and sunscreen. beware of extra fee when your travel agent offer you using "free way" ;)

Recommend to hike up the top as the view is breathtakingly good.

Amazing view from the top. I unfortunately came at a foggy time. Gonna return hoping the sun is bright to get a clearer view.

Climb up the small mountain is not for faint hearted. The beach is good for swimming and taking a break after the climb.
