Tam Coc Smile Homestay

I highly recommend this homestay for solo or small budget traveler, or anyone who's looking for a local experience in Tam Coc!!

Very friendly family, excellent breakfast (baguette, 2 eggs, pancake, fruits, smoothie, coffee/tea), renting bike or motorbike, well located, dormitory for 4 people maximum.
I decided to extend my stay here and have been invited to an excellent family dinner !!!

Such a warm and welcoming family. They are so sweet and accommodating. Breakfast is huge and delish! The location is perfect, close to many restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and activities. The bathroom is clean and has warm water! The room has AC and heat as well. Would stay here again if back in town!

This was a lovely homestay just a short 3 minute or so walk down to the main Tam Coc street and pier. The host family were so welcoming from beginning to end. We stayed for 2 nights and on the second night they invited us all for a meal with their family which was delicious and fresh and a great experience to sit and dine with them. Our host was also very helpful with bike rental - including taking us down to a local car park to make sure one of our friends was comfortable riding before letting us off as she was a bit nervous. They provided breakfast each morning free of charge and it was decent too. The rooms are clean and perfectly adequate - our friends stayed in the double which is a touch on the small side and we stayed in the bigger room in the courtyard which had two double beds and loads of space. Both rooms were well worth it for the price though! The dad of the family even walked us down to our bus on the third day as we left for our next destination.

Tang lives with his parents and welcomes you directly into his home. The dormitory is for 4 with a shared bathroom: there are toothbrushes, soap and a personal towel for customers. The smell in the room is sometimes a little unpleasant because there are no windows but just remember to keep the door open a little during the day (and a little incense would help).
For the rest, my stay was exceptional and one of the best in Vietnam: the breakfast included in the price is plentiful and delicious and sometimes the family even invites you to dinner with them. The wifi is good. There is a drinking water dispenser available. I arrived early in the morning and they helped me organize a tour right away that same day. I felt at home, thank you for your kindness.

I highly recommend the stay here as the family is so nice and help you around. I was staying in another place before and I can say that the hospitality and breakfast here were 10 times better than my previous homestay.
They also had a family dinner where they invited all the guests.
The prices for the buses and tours are fair compared to other places.
The location is like 3 minutes from the main street, but quiet enough to have a good sleep.

Wow - Staying at Tam Coc Smile Homestay was one of the highlights of my Vietnam trip! Not only is the location perfect (3 min walk to bus station, Tam Coc Boat tour, multitude of restaurants, and a short bicycle/motorbike ride to other attractions), but the hospitality and generosity of the family/owners is unparalleled!

They offer and can arrange anything you need (transport tickets, tours, motorbike/bicycle rental). They are also very accommodating for early morning or late bus arrivals/departures, even walking me to the night bus. The breakfast included with your stay is delicious and very filling (fresh cut fruits, a pancake, fried eggs, and bread), and sometimes they even have family dinner, where they taught us about local Vietnamese fruits and vegetables. This was actually the best food I've had in Vietnam!

I really enjoyed my stay here, and will definitely stay again next time I'm in Tam Coc!

This place lives up to its name. the family that welcomes you is adorable and always has a smile. It is one of the best places I have stayed in Vietnam. The breakfast is so good and in evening meals with the family is just so great. It's really a friendly place that I recommend with pleasure.

Small hostel in the heart of Tam Coc. Conveniently located in a quiet street close to restaurants and shops. Scooter and bike rental available to visit the main attractions around Tam Coc. Very clean. Breakfast included in the price of the night.

We loved it here and were warmly welcomed. Definitely recommend this place.

Room was very clean & modern, yard is absolutely beautiful with a lot of plants & flowers, the whole family was so lovely & warm, they made sure we were well cared for , their breakfast was freshly made every morning , include a lot of fresh fruits even with western cheese & fruit jam. It was a great stay for both my daughter & myself. we appreciated very much about the host family invited us to their family dinner on the first evening when we arrived, the food were so tasty & the amount was huge! Strongly recommend Tam Coc Smile Home Stay to anyone who is looking for a pleasant home to stay.

If you travel to Tam Coc I strongly recommend you this homestay. You won't regret it. It's the perfect place for visiting Tam Coc and Trang An. The host is very kind and helpful. He can support you in the activities that you can do around. All his family will welcome you. It will be a real Vietnamese experience. We arrived in the middle of the night they got up for us to let us in. This wont be done by every place in that area. We met some other people which had to wait until their hostel opened up.

The family is very nice and cooks the best breakfast I had in all the places I stayed at.
Furthermore they were really friendly and welcoming.

They have decent rental bikes and give a lot a of great advice where to go.

I haven’t fully understood the concept of family homestay until sharing with this incredible humans for a couple of days. The place is super clean & beautiful. They are so welcoming, totally go out of their way to make you feel welcome & help you plan your stay in Tam Coc. I am currently waiting for my bus & I have a take away breakfast cooked by the mama just because I did not have enough time to eat it. The day we arrived they let us sleep for free as it was really late (5am) instead of making us pay for a hole night. Thank you family for an INCREDIBLE stay.

What a wonderful little place with a Smiling Family!

My partner and I only stayed there one night in the mixed bed dorms, but the room was clean and dark with an ensuite bathroom and perfect for crashing after a day of biking. Maybe bring earplugs because the walls are a bit thin.

The family is super nice and the son gave us an introduction to Tam Coc and where to go to see plenty of cool things around the area which was awesome and very helpful. We rented bicycles from there for a day for 50k vnd each.

Breakfast was huge! For two people we got: 2 loafs of bread, crepes, a whole pineapple and mango, 4 eggs, cream cheese and jam, coffee, tea, and fresh juice, all included with the room price. Definitely the biggest breakfast yet in Vietnam.

We would happily go back and we wish the family all the best!

This was one of the most amazing homestay experiences I had in Vietnam. Showing up at 3am and being denied to enter by my originally booked hostel, Smile let me in with open arms. They took me straight to my bed to let me rest. I then woke up to the largest FREE breakfast, and it was delicious. They also made the most delicious family dinner, and I drank rice wine with Liam while watching the World Cup. They truly are an incredibly lovely family, that will make your stay feel like home!

This place is amazing!! The best experience ever in a home stay. The family is loving and caring, making sure you’re perfectly cared for! My BF got sick and the mother took really good care of him, and leaving him sleep while we already needed to check out. Just amazing! Excellent!! Lovely family, great room with comfy beds and hot shower. Very big and delicious breakfast. You can rent there a bicycle or a bike. We ate dinner with them and the father gave us homemade alcohol! We drank so much we end up singing karaoke together.

This is just the most amazing homestay I’ve done in Vietnam so far. The location is perfect, central, but just far enough of the street so you don’t hear the noise. The beds are comfy, good breakfast (and oh my god, so generous)... and the perfect nice family ❤ Loved it, would go back again and again

This family is really nice! I stay 2 nights here, the location is really good and breakfast is more than big, and i have a different one the second day. A family of 4 run this small and beautifull place and the son is the one who speak fluent english and help me decide what to do in Tam Coc. Thank you so much for being so nice and allow me to stay after C.O. You can also have a shower after you leave the room. 🤗
