Absolutely INCREDIBLE! From the food to the service, the whole experience was amazing. We ordered the spring rolls, the Vietnamese chicken curry, the mushrooms with crispy tofu, and the pork with quail egg and all I can say is WOW. Everything was outstanding and so full of flavor. But the curry was seriously my FAVORITE thing I’ve had throughout my 4 weeks in Vietnam. I’ve had Vietnamese style curry before but never at this level. I will be dreaming about it! So much flavor and umami and yumminess. Don’t hesitate to eat here, your tummy will be so grateful!

The Bun Cha came sizzling.. it was properly grilled, full of flavour, highly recommend. Also got the stir fry tofu with eggplant, which had a lot of yummy sauce, really delicious. Generous portions, affordable prices. Thumbs up!!

We did the cooking class here (bookable in the restaurant or through Getyourguide) and it was incredible! Just the two of us on the class, and we got to make 3 delicious meals of our choosing from the menu, plus an egg or coconut coffee. An experience to remember ☺

Very close to our homestay so we had dinner after a long day of travel. Dinner was so good we came back for lunch the following day. We had the bun cha, banh xeo, sour fish soup, beef and chicken pho, and beef rolled in betal leaf. Get the passion fruit juice for a special treat. Food was outstanding and very friendly hospitality. Clean facilities. Highly recommended.

Cooking class experience and restaurant food - exceptional.

We ate at lantern restaurant one evening and then booked onto the afternoon cooking class the next day. This was a highly recommendable experience!!

We learnt to cook spring rolls, bun cha and pho beef soup.

The staff were super friendly and we had a great experience cooking for 3 hours with a private chef!

Would highly recommend both the cooking class and restaurant food. I must say - the food in the cooking class we thought was even better and more authentic than the restaurant meal we had the night previously.

Cooking class was $40USD per person, but the quality of food and the amount you get along with the private chef was exceptional! Definitely worth the money in our opinion

Recommended by the hotel we stayed at and this was hands down the best quality food we had in the area. Fresh products, diverse and traditional menu with Vegan and Vegetarian options.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful, they speak good English and the prices are very reasonable.

Note: the sign on the street still has the old name “Tam Coc Lantern”.

We came after looking at great reviews and thought maybe the food was a bit pricier than other spots at first but the food portion and taste definitely was worth it! Everything was good but that bun (vermicelli) with grilled pork was amazing! It was the best food I had in Ninh Binh.

We had the Vietnamese pancake, and it did not disappoint! The service was attentive and incredibly friendly. The juice is fresh. Amazing stir fried beef. The place had a clean and inviting ambiance.

The cooking class is really great, and the staff is really sweet! Good food too! It is such a great way to discover Vietnamese food, definitely a must!

We love their food that we visited the restaurant twice. The price is reasonable and they have a lot of options for vegetarians. They will also show you instructions on how to eat your food correctly. I recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Lovely restaurant serving quality food at respectable prices, I had fresh spring rolls and fish in clay pot with steamed rice.
Went back the following day and done a cooking class, which was an enjoyable experience, especially getting to eat the results 😊

Had the tofu cooked with eggplant and stewed local fish in claypot! Food was very flavourful and comforting for the cold weather. The staff were also very polite and the place is nice and clean. Highly recommended! 😍

Their Vietnamese food was amazing that we went back to the restaurant again on our second day! Our server Hien was also attentive and friendly :) We recommend banh xeo with either beef or chicken, and ice coconut coffee and egg coffee for drinks. Especially their ice coconut coffee was the best I’ve tried so far in Vietnam!😋

Delicious Vietnamese Pancake with chicken! (I ate it 3 times 😅). Very healthy and nutritious. The workers are always smiling, helpful and service is very fast. The have also many types of fresh juices, smoothies and other Vietnamese cuisine. Definitely recommended!

The restaurant has diverse vegetarian options. The meal preparation took less than 10 minutes. One of the fastest food services I’ve experienced so far. The workers were welcoming and I have left this place with warm feelings. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was fresh, high quality and delicious with a range of menu options presenting local delicacies, Vietnamese and international cuisine. The decor was cosy and atmospheric and the prices good. The service was prompt and attentive. We highly recommend this option in Tam Coc.

Lemongrass chilli beef with fresh herbs and rice is fantastic to warm you up after a long days hikw in the cold. I also tried the beef Pho soup, fresh springrolls and ginger tea. All were delicious. Also very kind and welcoming staff and service.
