Ninh Binh Palm Homestay

This was probably the most unique and memorable accommodation I had in Vietnam. The Homestay is located in the quaint and quiet countryside, and it truly felt like a much needed escape from the busy city. I explored the nearby neighborhood and lake with their bicycles. The host Anna provided a very authentic Vietnamese dinner with various dishes, as well as delicious Banh Cuon for breakfast. Anna was very friendly and recommended several places and restaurants to visit!

Our stay with Anna and her husband was exceptional. They were incredibly responsive and made us feel at home from the start. Their hospitality was unparalleled, inviting us to their New Year’s Eve party and offering a delicious local Vietnamese breakfast. Anna’s excellent English made communication effortless, enhancing our experience.

They also provided insightful recommendations for sightseeing, and the convenience of renting scooters directly at the Airbnb was a game-changer for exploring. The arranged transport back to Hanoi and the affordability of all these amenities made our stay not only comfortable but also budget-friendly.

The flexibility with our checkout time was a thoughtful touch that allowed us to enjoy our last day to the fullest.

In summary, Anna and her husband provided a memorable stay with their warmth and generosity. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic and welcoming experience in Vietnam.

I missed the cutoff to post a review on Airbnb but really wanted to give this homestay the praise it deserves.

Anna was our introduction to Ninh Binh and she is a big reason why we loved it so much! We were very much going with the flow with booking our travels and she helped us so much with local suggestions and booking trains for a fair price.

The location feels quite rural and there’s not much on at nighttime but it’s super close to the Bai Dinh Pagoda. We made the most of the days and used the available bikes to cycle everywhere but others might prefer motorbikes/ordering Grabs as the distances to other popular landmarks in the area and heat are quite intense.

The rooms were comfortable and the showers were some of, if not the best throughout our entire trip. I couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re making a trip to this beautiful part of the country.

Anna and family were incredible hosts. We were very well taken care of during our stay and Anna was very accommodating to some dietary restrictions in our group (celiac / GF). She recommended great excursions for us, cooked us amazing food, arranged transportation for us which was convenient and affordable and had flawless English which made communication effortless. She went above and beyond in every way, even providing us with food to feed some of the starving pups we found on our outing and wanted to go back to feed. Thank you Anna and family for a wonderful stay!

We had a lovely time at this cozy homestay! The area is very peaceful and quaint so we really enjoyed cycling around. There’s a good view of the stunning Bai Dinh and it’s entrance is less than a kilometer away. All the key visiting points of Ninh Binh were not more than 20-30 minutes away by bike. Anna is everything the reviews say about her - warm, understanding and very helpful! Thank you for everything!

The location was fantastic! I looked all over for an affordable place to stay in ninh binh. I found this hkmestay at it was a very peaceful and Quant collection of bungalows. The owner was so kind. She gave us food and let us use a motorbike, so it was easy to explore Ninh Binh. When I come back to Ninh Binh. I will definitely go stay here again.

Anna and her family are the sweetest hosts you can imagine. They make you feel immediately at home and Anna gives great recommendations about the area and fulfills your every need with a warm smile.

The location is a bit out there (which makes it really quiet and pristine), but you can take bicycles for free to cycle around the beautiful area. She can also help you arrange transportation to anywhere at a really good price.

The rooms and bungalows are very modern and clean and the entire place is so cozy, beautiful and serene. Very much recommended!

Anna is super nice and really cool. The location is pretty good if you're trying to visit the pagoda but the nearby restaurants and shopping isn't the best. The vibe inside the home stay is super cute.

When you're visiting Ninh Bin, there's some things that you just have to do, like doing the boat ride in Trang An valley, exploring the Bai Dinh complex, and the not so marketed attraction - meeting Anna at her cute homestay.
I could write a review about Anna or her beautiful "Palm homestay" and it'll be the same thing. They both offer the warmth, kindness, and a natural calm exuberance that makes it very hard to get out and do any of your Ninh Binh travelling.
You reach the homestay, and you're greeted by the always smiling Anna alongside her lovable dog, a very vocal cat, and Anna's precocious little daughter who's named 'Pet', as she funnily fits in with the rest of the ensemble.
The cottage you stay in is equipped with all the necessities and more, and Anna is always available to plan your trip, or help you with anything. You also get in house authentic Vietnamese food made by Anna's mother in law that you can enjoy either in your room or in the dining area alongside Anna's family.
The cottage is also at a good distance to all major Ninh Binh travel destination and if you're coming from Hanoi, your taxi/limousine could easily drop or pick you up from there with a small extra charge.
You book Palm homestay for its aesthetic, but really you takeaway from it the best that Vietnam has to offer - it's amazing people.

Really loved my stay at Palm. Anna is wonderful, is very curious about her guests' plans, makes great recommendations, is always friendly and helpful, and her family is so lovely. The location is nicely tucked away a little way from the main road, perfect for a bit of relaxation yet still easy to get to on a motorbike. Rooms/bungalows are quiet and have lots of character. Nearby town has nice little unassuming foodie places, and the pagoda is stunning.

Excellent services, location is not easy to locate. Short ride to nearby extraction. There’s room for improvement to keep the bugs out. Over all everything was expected.

Incredible place. Everything was really clean and new. We had dinner and breakfast made by them at the moment and it was so tasty and generous.
Also it’s location is perfect, really close to the pagoda just 5 minutes. Additionally they rent for free some bikes to go around the place

Highly recommended place to stay when you’re in Ninh Binh! Close to the tourist spots but far away from the main city so you get peace and quiet. Anna’s family is so friendly and warm, and took good care of us. They have laundry service too which was a big help for our long journey. The food here is fantastic, her daughter is so cute and she has a cute poodle and kitten that keeps you company. Anna also spoke perfect English to communication wasn’t an issue. She can advice you on what to see in Ninh binh. Rooms were spacious and clean and they’ve done such a good job with the garden! Magical place to stay at

This place is very peaceful, quiet and the rooms are clean. Staffs here are very knowledgeable. No issue with communication, and they even treat us with their homemade wine. This is like a hidden gem. Highly recommended.

Anna is a great host, kind and very considerate. She gave us helpful information on what to do in Ninh Binh and even booked the bus tickets to our next stop. The cabin we stayed in was clean and cozy. We really felt at home there and would have loved to stay longer. It's perfect to wind down and relax, also it is located close to many sights in the Ninh Binh area. Highly recommend you to stay at Anna's lovely place! 💗

Really nice place is a good location if you're looking for somewhere quieter but still accessible by motorbike.

The host was very friendly and spoke English very well (best we've had so far).

We ordered both laundry service and motorbike hire. Everything was really smooth.

Anna offered us some great suggestions on which attractions to go see based on the time we were staying there. Really helpful!

Extremely helpful with everything and can help you with airport pickup, motorcycle rental , bus booking, train booking.
Cooks great food also.
She has a lovely daughter and a cat and a super energetic dog.

Really amazing place, I couldn’t recommend enough.

The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Including A/C and a fan!

Anna was amazing. She had great knowledge of the area and was able to help us plan out our time in Ninh Binh, including arranging a full day taxi (at a great rate) when we wanted to go to Cuc Phuong.

The homestay also has bikes you can use for free, motorbikes for rent, breakfast included, and an option to get dinner there (obviously paying for the dishes). Vegetarian options abound and were delicious!

We stayed with Anna for a few days whilst visiting Ninh Binh. Our room had everything we needed. She was fast to respond when we messaged her and she organised taxis to pick us up and take us to the train station as well as giving us lots of advice on where to go in the area. Breakfast was included which was very tasty and we ate at her restaurant a couple of nights and the food was also very tasty. We used her bicycles on one day to do some exploring and she has an adorable dog! A great stay and 100% would recommend!
