96B cafe & roastery

The phin workshop was AMAZING! The cafe itself is a fantastic escape from the bustling city to catch your breadth and indulge in some top coffee. It was the highlight of our trip to Ho Chi Minh. Would highly recommend :)

Our group did the Phin coffee workshop, 1 of us did the roasting workshop, and I did the latte art workshop. 5/5 for ALL, sadly we are only here for a couple days. But would love to return to do the rest! Tai was very knowledgeable on coffee history, and teaching us about the different types of beans and smells in the coffee. She was great at teaching us beginners, yet also asking and answering high level questions where our coffee connoisseur of our group was challenged. Not to mention the coffee tastes incredible!

The latte art class was so personalized and fun, and was one of my main highlights of my trip to Ho Chi Minh City. My teacher Mia taught me everything from how to properly steam milk for latte art, to holding the cup in the right angle as a base, to the process of drawing a heart (and later a tulip). Thank you 96B and Tai for spreading the love of coffee! We will be back.

The modern design of this place is beautiful, a really nice place. Vast menu of high quality beans to choose from and highly knowledgeable staff. I opted for a v60 with the "embers". An award winning "fine robusta" with clear coconut notes and a nice long after taste. This is my first ever robusta as a pour over, and it was stunning. I'd be happy to say this was one of the top 5 best coffees I've ever had, and I've had a lot. My partner got a flat white with oat milk and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're in HCMC and want great coffee, make sure you come here.

Love it! I took the sensory training workshop on Monday. And it was awesome, the staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. Bought a sample of The Retro blend and it is very tasty. Recommended for all. Will be back for more workshops in the future.

My favorite cafe in Saigon. Great specialty coffee and very unique Vietnamese micro lot. They roast their coffee in house too.

It’s in a quiet neighbourhood but it’s worth the visit. The Ca Phe Sua Da is top tier. Vietnamese coffee style but with their own roasted beans which was so delicious and memorable!

The baristas were also very friendly and informative. I bought 3 coffee bag beans which were also top-tier and so affordable. Place is modern, clean and Instagrammable.

Beautiful location for speciality coffee. Hidden in an alley this coffee shop is very modern, the staff is super friendly, they speak English very well and the coffee is outstanding!
A perfect place to grab a great coffee and work or simply chill with a book.

I finally got to visit 96B, a hidden specialty coffee haven in Saigon and wow! 🤩

If you are feeling a little adventurous then definitely give their Salted Caramel Latte - a rich and creamy delight, or the bold yet refreshing ‘Hardcore’!

The friendly staff at 96B added an extra layer of charm to the cafe. Their passion for their craft and genuine eagerness to engage in conversations create an inviting environment where connections were effortlessly formed. I returned twice to the cafe in my short visit! Whether you're a coffee connoisseur eager to explore regional flavors or a local seeking a welcoming space to unwind and connect, 96B guarantees an extraordinary experience that will leave a lasting impression.

Lovely specialty coffee, interesting flavours. My partner and I also attended a coffee class, we learnt to make phin, egg coffee and coconut coffee. Very educational.

We took the Sensory Training 1 and it opened up my mind to smelling and taste. This training is not only for coffee lovers but also people wanting to train their senses.

The baristas are so precise in their preparation of coffee, almost surgical.

What a unique experience in HCMC 🤩

Just pops up out of nowhere and greets you with a modern, sophisticated air with viewable roastery at the back and upstairs, balcony area available. Quite unique cold drinks too, WiFi and good service.

Cozy little Place run by awesome people..

I was lucky to attend their workshop's in English when I was traveling in HCMC. My perspective about coffee has changed post workshops as I had more insights about coffee, roasting, tasting...
Loved the ambience and always enjoyed trying their innovative menu..

If you love coffee definitely it's the place to try.. Add it to your to-do list if you are traveling in HCMC..

Absolutely loved this coffee workshop. Went with two friends and it was perfect; we had so much fun. Would recommend to anyone, such a nice place and a moment of calm in the busy city of HCM.

As a picky Australian coffee ☕ drinker I strongly approve this cafe. Offers African beans which are my personal favourite in addition to high quality Vietnamese coffee Espresso and hand drip are both excellent smooth and flavourful. Will be back! 🙂💗☕🙏

Very good coffee and service. The staff was nice and will give recommendations if you don’t know what to order.

The coffee is very good, they’d let you smell the coffee after they grind, and then proceeded to brew it for you. Finally, it will be served in a whine glass, which make it feel abit luxurious ! Overall it was a very good customer experience.

Though, the chocolate chips cookies could’ve been abit better, abit too crunchy for my taste, but it wasn’t too sweet.

Overall, good coffee, good vibe, good services, and good quality that match with the price !

We participated in a workshop learning all about coffee making! We had a chance to really appreciate the different coffee beans and level of roasts. We also sampled the most “eggcellent” egg coffee and coconut coffee. Highly recommend if you are in HCMC and want to experience modern coffee making!

Most places serve the extremes - it’s either traditional local coffee or imports from international locations. 96B hits the sweet spot by serving amazing local beans, not sure where else you’ll find this. Just amazing - you have to stop by if you love coffee and are in Saigon. Thx to Thai and team for the experience.

I started brewing coffee daily using v60 method since mid 2021 which I learned YouTube channels. I felt my brew isn’t good and so to understand my brew quality I attended the 90 mins coffee Brewing Workshop. In the session, my brewing technique was improved tremendously especially in the blooming phase and pouring technique. It is so much different watching in screen vs attending the class because the instructor can truly understand my errors and guide me using the right technique. Thank you instructor Thai for the wonderful lesson. Starting today I can always brew better coffee with v60

My partner and I took an espresso class from Nghia and a sensory 2 class from Thai. They were both such incredible instructors with so much knowledge to share. The classes were absolutely enjoyable and we're so glad we did them. We wish we had more time to continue to learn with them!

Not only were the classes amazing, but we had the most amazingly brewed Liberica coffee and can't stop thinking about it.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for such a wonderful place and people for existing. We look forward to the time we are able to visit again.
