In October 2023 we visited Ben Duoc Cu Chi tunnel and Mekong Delta with Indo China Heritage Travel Group. It was a private tour. Our driver was Loki and our tour guide was Tu . Both are excellent personalities and very efficient. Tu is very knowledgeable. The car was also very good. They picked is from Airport and we proceeded to Cu Chi tunnels, which took us three hours. This is the complex network of 121 km long tunnels underlying Hochi Minh City, now named as War Memorial park, where Viet Kong communist soldiers used to take shelter during war. The tunnels are in layers and include living quarters, children area, storage, kitchen, hospital, library and conference rooms. Tunnels are narrow and leaves barely a crawling space. We crawled inside the tunnel and after 30 feet felt clustrophobic. Oxigen level is low inside the tunnel. We also saw helicopters, guns, ammunition, booby trap, museum and life inside tunnel with craftsmen making their crafts etc. We were told that Americans poisoned the waters which killed many Vietnamese soldiers. Many also died with snake bite, fever and malaria. There was a huge loss lives inside the tunnels. Americans used Agent Orange to destroy the flora and fauna. There was a total destruction. After visiting Cu Chi tunnel we returned to our hotel.
Next day we started our tour early morning for Mekong Delta. After a long drive in the highway we reached a temple by the side of the Mekong. It is a beautiful temple with so many Buddha statues, garden and ponds. It was very peaceful. Probably the name of the pagoda was Vinh Trang Pagoda. We sat in a boat from there and our journey in Mekong Delta started. We reached three places beside the river. A bee farm which gave us honey tea and honey snacks. All very tasty. Then we went to an orchard where we tasted delicious fruits. Lastly we went to a crocodile farm where we saw many crocodile and some other animals. Here we were provided with some sumptuous lunch with lots of food. After the meal, we started our journey in a small boat in the narrow river with trees on both sides. Really beautiful! While returning we touched the sea as well, where the waves were big. The experience was good. In my opinion, one must visit both the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta with this company. There were excessive rains and traffic jam while coming back. The guide Tu and the driver Loki helped us in catching our plane by efficiently manoeuvring the car through a lot of traffic and dropping us right into the airport. We will remain thankful to them. We enjoyed our trip very much.

We had a great tour with our guide Tú, visiting the Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta. Tú was very knowledgeable, spoke English well and told us a lot about the history of Vietnam. He also made sure everyone on the tour had a great time. I can recommend this day trip if you want to explore the highlights outside of Ho Chi Min City. It was quite some time in the minibus, but was definitely worth it. The Cu Chi tunnels are a must-visit to learn more about the Vietnam war. Here we also had some lunch. Afterwards we drove to the Mekong Delta where we had a traditional boat ride, some fresh fruits and visited a Vietnamese candy factory. I can recommend this your for sure!

Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta - This is a FANTASTIC tour. I learnt so much from the amazing guide Max and it is so well organised that you get to do so many things during the day and aside form understand so much about the VIỆT Cong from cu chi tunnels really try some great food and snacks along the way : organic chocolate, handmade Coconit candies, fresh fruit tea and a FANTASTIC lunch. Max spoke great English and had a lot of enthusiasm and pride in his work. Would recommend this company to anyone, punctual pick up.
