Ty Coz Saigon

This is a simple place with an interesting Chef. We took his recommendation since we know nothing about French food. All we did was to pick the meat and the desserts. Oh my! It was very good to leave it to the Chef. 1 the clams are nicely made. The rainbow trout baked in
1KG salt is very nice. I love the lamb oh boy! It so well done. Hey it took him 12 hours to roast that lamb. A bit disappointed with the dessert but I guess people whom like coffee will enjoy it more that I do. Over experience is very good.

Decided to try this place out as it was nearby where we stayed, and also from reading other reviews. Was not disappointed at all and pleasantly surprised by the service given, introduction to the courses of the day, and best of all tailored made to suit ur appetite and budget! How awesome can that be?! We weren't hungry at the time and were worried ordering two mains might be too much, but owner recommended the dishes to suit us, with all prices shown to include appetizers, mains and dessert. In the end, we had two appetizers, a mains to share and two desserts. Price was more than reasonable and I would say there and then the service far exceeds those restaurants in Paris itself. I would give this place two thumbs up and recommend anyone to come and try it. It could be hard to find but what a find it turned out to be. Surely made our day!

An interesting experience here.
We feel difficult to understand all the menu but we love the chef- an enthusiastic boss of the restaurant.
The seafood menu of that night was awesome for us.

Old school and authentic French bistro, complete with charming and eccentric French brothers running the show. Food was incredible quality and value. Plenty of butter and cream in the traditional French style, so bring an appetite. And call ahead. They may be moving to a new location soon, after 18 years in the same D1 hem.

So nice dishes and warm chef. Price is also very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant strongly.

After so many years of activity in Pasteur, Ty Coz continues to be a staple of good traditional French cuisine with a lot of passion for it. Well done.

Amazing quality and service. Family run restaurant by two French brothers. The chef his brother put a lot of effort into the dishes and our drinks. The manager (also the owner , and one of two brother) patiently and passionately explain to us in details about the dishes and all other options. We feel very welcomed and our table service is again, excellent. Simple, no fancy decoration but the table are kept clean and tidy, and they put on very relaxing old days french bistro music, which is completely relaxing and chill. What a surprising find. Will come back for sure.

Held by two brothers, this place is heaven if you're passionate about French cuisine.
The menu changes every day based on the ingredients they find, everything is homemade, the wine list is very good. Usually, you get a set of entry+plate+dessert and the tenant explains to you how each plate is cooked and what is the history of the recipe.
It's a bit hidden and difficult to find, but try it!

Incredible French restaurant right in the heart of D1. The chef/owner is friendly and passionate, filled with recommendations, stories and anecdotes. The food, traditional and hearty, bistro classics done to a high standard, with three-course menus from as little as VND250k. And the ambiance, wonderfully homestyle, with surprises all throughout the leisurely meal.

In the shadow of Saigon's Notre Dame, not far from the French embassy and its nearby Parisian-like gardens, this is as close you'll get to a traditional family-run French bistro without shelling out for a plane ticket.

We had two formal french meals in the past several years. One in Montreal, and one here. This one is the one my wife rated "very tasty" and "better than the le paris" in montreal, which is already a high compliment in her standard :). The price is reasonable, also higher than regular vietnamese restaurant, but I find it worth it. The service is exellent, food is great, and the boss is very friendly to answer all of my questions. It's a refreshing place, which drags you out of the chaos out there for a short while. Highly recommended.

Great good and the owner/chef was such a great host who take pains to explain his while menu from the board. Nice homely atmosphere and reasonable prices for a Set 3 course meal.

Easily the best French food I’ve ever had in my life. A must go when you visit HCM. Every course was so mind blowing, I was so close to tears. Definitely coming back every time I visit HCM. ❤
