Banh Cuon Tay Ho

Vietnam's best place to have Banh Cuon (Vietnamese Steamed Rice Rolls).   It's made of thin steamed rice "paper" fillled with seasoned minced meat & mushrooms. It is then to be dipped in light & sweet "fish-sauce" mixture.

This place has been around since 1962.   The day-to-day operations are now run by the daughter-in-law of the founder (who's very nice)

PRO TIP:  The owner allowed to let us experience how to make Banh Cuon rice wrappers.  During off-peak hours, then she might show you how too.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and I must commend the lady who served us for her exceptional customer service. She took the time to explain the menu to us and kindly informed us about the longer wait time. In fact, she even allowed us to bring in Banh Mi from the neighboring restaurant while we waited.

The only minor suggestion I have is that it would have been even better if the temperature inside the establishment was slightly cooler. Overall, though, it was a delightful experience!

To my surprise, the rice rolls are nice with the sauce and chilies. I had the pork rolls. There was good service from the lady boss also, showing me how to go with the sauce and chilies.
The shop is not too busy and spacious enough for a comfortable lunch. It's a plus compared to many shops that are rather small. The place is clean and tidy.

Extremely delicious steamed rice paper rolls, many vegetarian options. The lovely owner even showed us how to make them, was a great experience 🥰. Thank you!

I've been here 8 years ago. It has levelled up since then.

Known for their banh cuon "Steamed Rice noodle rolls" with Plain or filled with meat.

They have side meats as options, fermented lemon pork (pink), pork loaf of 2 variations.

Freshly steamed rice noodle rolls to ensure freshness, nice and eslatic noodles service with side salad.

It can get busy during lunch and dinner period however it was fast pace, a lot of GRAB drivers buying bulk.

My friend Tommy took me here for a quick meal before catching my flight. The restaurant may not look like much, but my friend has been coming here since he was a kid. After trying the food, I can see why.

The food was absolutely delicious. The rice wrappers they used were soft and not overly chewy. The meat they filled it was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed dipping the rolls in the sauce on the table mixed with chili. It was absolutely divine.

I think the meal came to about $4 usd with some fresh squeezed juice. An incredible bargain for such tasty fresh food. So if you are looking for good quick eats, make sure to put this on your list.

Banh Cuon is similar to rice noodle rolls(腸粉）from Canton, China. The fill-in of the rolls is deep fried onion. Enjoying the rolls with bean sprouts and fish source is part of daily routine for the locals. It’s fresh and tasty. You should give it a try.

Yummy banh cuon (steamed rice rolls with pork), and pair it with chilli fish sauce for the extra kick. The pork bologna (ham) is great too. Friendly service from the elderly lady boss who can speak some English.
