Very good place for vegan lovers, located in small alley so very tranquil. Food is tasty and well seasoned. Has spacious space and cozy vibe. Will come back next time

I'm a regular customer of Phuong Mai restaurant. Phuong Mai's menu offers a wide range of Vietnamese dishes made from fresh vegetables. My favorite dishes are the sour and spicy hotpot and the banana flower salad. Besides, their service and staff are great, too. But more than that, I'm really impressed with the tranquil atmosphere here. The walls are filled with special words from Master Nghi Thanh Tran... Hands down, it has the best of both worlds.

Unlike recent trends in which "Chay" is becoming fusion-ly expensive fine dining, luxury experience, Phuong Mai chay keeps everything simple, traditional, suitable for both solo visitor and family dining. The highlight is the phenomenal sour soup: I still can taste each ingredient clearly, yet they are put together in a way that complementary to the signature sour taste that familiar with generations of Vietnamese people.

If you want to experience the real Vietnamese vegetarian (Chay), this is place to go.

As someone who enjoys vegetarian cuisine, I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nhà hàng chay Phương Mai in Saigon and I must say, it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. I would give this restaurant a 5/5 rating for its fantastic food, service, and atmosphere.

The food at Nhà hàng chay Phương Mai was absolutely delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared and presented, with a great variety of flavors and textures. The menu included a wide range of vegetarian dishes, including stir-fried vegetables, tofu, and mock meat dishes, all of which were full of flavor and beautifully presented.

The service at the restaurant was also top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and able to make recommendations, which was very helpful.

Finally, the atmosphere at Nhà hàng chay Phương Mai was also excellent. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a relaxing and comfortable ambiance. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great vegetarian dining experience in Saigon. The fantastic food, excellent service, and lovely atmosphere make it a standout choice.

One of my favourite vegetarian place in the city, quiet and aesthetic, delicious meals, sounds of fountains. Definitely can recommend if you want to try Vietnamese food. Banh xeo khi chat it’s (unsweetened) huge pancake with amazing topping

I'm a meat eater but tried this place out. It was exquisite. Delicious food served in an outstanding peaceful serene setting. I will definitely come here again.

It was my first vegetarian restaurant and very successful!! Staffs were so kind that even taught us how to eat Banh Xeo properly when we were struggling😂. The price was also reasonable as 3 dishes only costed 289k dong. The environment was also very comfy and clean. Highly recommend😁😁

I've been here 4-5 times already but this is my first comment here. I love the food and the staff here. I just don't prefer the atmosphere so much.

I love this vegetarian restaurant! I would 100% recommend. I have tried various dishes but my favourite is the sweet potato curry and noodles. There are also lots of plants creating a calming atmosphere and the service is great! 💯😊

Very peaceful and calm restaurant, with great service. The food is very tasteful and the juices very fresh! It is in a very calm area, away from the busy streets, so perfect to enjoy lunch there with some friends and to relax from a hard day of work!

The place is nice, best choice for friend and family here. There are a small garden to sit outside or we can seat indoor. I want to choose the place neae small pool and fishes.

Simple, wholesome and tasty vegetarian food served fast.  Friendly service and comfortable seating with a lovely garden. Restaurant is associated with meditation center and you can feel the peaceful energy. Would recommend for a simple afternoon or evening meal at a great price.

I usually dont eat vegetarian food but this was well done and the food had fantastic flavors. The prices are decent and they have a membership program for discounts. Also, the ambience of the place is very peaceful with a great amount of greenery and flowing water.

I'm a fan of the Hum Vegetarian restaurants in Districts 1 and 2, but Phuong Mai is my new favorite. It's not as upscale as Hum, and the dishes not as fanciful, but still it's a wonderful setting, and the food is fantastic. I had the papaya salad, which was the best ever, and the curry tofu was delicious. The restaurant's located in a little alley off of Vo Thi Sau, across from the park, far enough away from traffic to be serenely quiet, with nothing but the soothing sounds of a waterfall fountain in the bamboo garden, and meditative harp and piano music playing quietly in the background. There's also a meditation center upstairs, so it's no wonder they've cultivated such a peaceful dining environment. Don't count on a car getting you directly to the door, since the alleyway is narrow, but it's just a minute's walk from the main street, and easy to find with direction signs throughout the neighborhood. The prices are too good to be true - only $5 for my two dishes, and a green tea, and I was stuffed. I hope they can keep it up - I'll surely be back for more!

Visited here twice during our short stay in HCM because everything was so fresh, delicious and beautiful presented. Loved the peaceful setting, the friendliness of the staff and the prices. Wish this place existed back in my home city!
