CTY Kitchen + Bar

I popped into CTY Kitchen + Bar a while back during my trip to Saigon for a quick lunch date with my girlfriend, and let me tell you, this place is a total gem! The food was fantastic, and the service was on point. I accidentally dropped my napkin, and before I could even ask, they had a new one ready for me. Talk about attentive!

The vibe at CTY is just perfect - it's cozy and inviting, but still has this modern, trendy-industrial-ish feel to it. We decided to grab a few small bites and a couple of drinks, and everything was delicious. But the real showstopper was the dry aged smashed burger. It was hands down the best dish we tried, and it instantly took me right back to the corner store in Pasadena where I usually grab smash burgers with my boys. The nostalgia factor was real!

All in all, I've gotta give CTY Kitchen + Bar a solid 10/10. I'll definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in Saigon, and if you're looking for a spot that serves up quality food and drinks in a cool atmosphere, this is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

- The place is full of fresh air, I feel really comfortable and cool to sit outside to have lunch
- Staffs are friendly, responsive to my order and requests
- Food is amazing, I can say that it bangs for the buck for sure 👌 It tasty, adequate portion to share meal and still so FULL.
- Highly recommend to check out CTY for dining, business meeting or casual chill outs with your friends in the center of HCMC.

Visiting from Canada, one of the places we were determined to visit was CTY and I’m so happy we did!!!! Service was very quick and professional. Our server was friendly and helpful, very patient with us which was nice because his section was full when we arrived.

We decided to get a handful of items to share. If you come with a group i would suggest you do the same because you will definitely want to try more items.
We had a few drinks, spring rolls, Hai Phong pâté board, fried taro sticks, Hainan style chicken over rice and pork ribs, everything was seasoned very well, simply mouth watering delicious!!!!

10/10 highly recommend!!

Loved it here. Staff were always on hand when needed and super friendly. I don’t eat meat so asked if I could change chicken pesto pasta to salmon and they happily done it. We also got the ribeye steak which my partner thoroughly enjoyed at a very good price. Atmosphere is lovely here and drinks are good too! Highly recommend.

1. The Perfect Poach: The eggs were poached to perfection, with yolks so gorgeously runny, they painted a masterpiece atop the salmon.
2. Smoked Salmon: Not all salmon is created equal. CTY’s version was delicately smoked, adding depth without overwhelming, a true testament to their culinary artistry.
3. Hollandaise Sauce: This sauce was the ribbon that tied everything together. Rich, creamy, with just enough tang to cut through the richness of the egg and salmon - it was flawless.
4. The Atmosphere: CTY Kitchen & Bar isn’t just about the food; it’s about the experience. The vibe is cozy yet sophisticated, making you feel like a VIP at brunch.

This place is amazing! Let me start off with just how beautiful this place is; the decor, the ambiance and the overall aesthetic is just stunning!

Wait till you try the food! Whoever the chef is… he is super amazing and talented! Presentation is top notch as well and the flavors just makes my tastebuds sing. I ordered the Tom Yum seafood pasta and highly recommend it if you fusion tom yum dishes! It’s so fresh with authentic Tom yum taste and the pasta was cook perfectly! I wish I lived in Vietnam cause I’d come here everyday if I could! While vacationing, I came by 3 separate times cause it was just that good! The oysters are extremely fresh as well and it’s just a fantastic time to relax and have fun here after travelling. I also highly recommend getting the tiger prawns. If you want a drink, I really like the lychee rose martini :) they have a good selection of wine too but I recommend getting a bottle for the value and “happiness” ;）

The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. This place is a MUST TRY! No matter what, you have to make time to come here! It’s SOOOO GOOD!!!!!! Thanks chef and staff for the hospitality and food recommendations!

Food and atmosphere and service is top notch, place is NEW, TIDY, staff is friendly and energetic and super helpful...FOOD is definitely some of the best me and my buddies had in HCMC.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday and the atmosphere, ambiance, drinks, and food was amazing. The restaurant looked great from the tables to the bar. It had a mix of Vietnamese and Western food on the menu. The service was very accommodating, friendly and classy. If you want scrambled eggs then this is the place to get it. I don’t think anywhere else in the city gives you the option, it’s always sunny side up or Ốp La. The chef recommended the Salmon Benedict and it was flavorable and enjoyable. We also got the black pepper stir fry and it tasted like sizzling beef that you would find in the US and would eat again. We also had the grilled steak focaccia sandwich and it tasted amazing like a hamburger minus the grease and mess. As you’re waiting for your food, the drinks are ALL delicious from the Brazilian Lemonade, Brazilian Coconut Lemonade, Iced Pandan Latte and the Vietnamese coffee. If you’re in the city then CTY kitchen is a must try!

If you're on the hunt for a mouthwatering meal in Vietnam, CTY is where it's at, and let me tell you, their smoked salmon bagel is a game-changer!!!

Imagine this: a perfectly toasted bagel, stacked with fresh, juicy salmon slices that practically melt in your mouth. Add a smear of cream cheese, a pop of tangy capers, and some crisp lettuce 😋🍣

Great food and great service! Clean and modern environment. One of must visit spot when you are in Saigon Vietnam. Great for events and parties. The host and owner Calvin is a great guy and great host.

Calvin is the real deal. A passionate guy that cares about community building, esp between Vietnamese folks. The food is excellent and extremely diverse. The bite size portions make me mouth watering. He also is infusing his particular taste to make sure all guests are welcomed and have a wondering dining experience. This place is extremely clean as well. Please check it out!

Did you guys see that Koi Pond? It’s pretty neat. Makes your food taste more zen knowing Koi pond sexy = food will be sexy.

Had a hot date didn’t know where to take her for lunch. This was recommended by a friend. Great place to take a date for business lunch. Took her home afterwards. Might have been the help of great ambience and delicious food to put her in the mood. She didn’t want to go anywhere else except my place afterwards. I didn’t even have to buy her any alcohol this time.

Taxi driver was a bit confused dropping us off but lucky for us we have google maps to navigate fearlessly through the congested streets of sunny Saigon.

Exploring through this massive building was giving me dejavu vibes, and not the strip club back in California. I’ve stumbled through these elevators before. Rooftop bar upstairs!!! Dao House.

This hidden gem CTY was located just behind the elevators 🛗 of the building. Decor was warm welcoming upscale clean open space plenty of seating. The lighting was well placed and photos of the food turned out amazing.

The winner was the chicken and rice. Good portion of juicy chicken and mouth watering sauce was served with enough greens on the side. Meal came with a drink so you are not thirsty from the sizzle Saigon weather.

Service is what you would expect from a fancy establishment. We were greeted and seated immediately with menus in hand. Servers came to us after we took our sweet time studying the menu like it was a subject of our midterm college exam.

Food so good my date paid for our meal and booked the fastest taxi service available to get us back to my place. Things got hot and heavy when we got back to my bedroom maybe because A/C was not on. Clothes quickly came off since she was needy for another load of laundry.

My Wife was happy she didn’t have to do the dishes. Overall highly recommended for lunch date.

I visit HCMC every year over Christmas and this was our first time to CTY Kitchen. Let me tell you, you will NOT be disappointed at thia place. Not only was the food amazing but the drinks are just as good.

The service was second to none!! I’ve been to so many places in HCMC where the food is good but the service wasn’t. CTY has it ALL!!

I ordered the steak and eggs dish with patê with the pomelo/grapefruit drink. Beef is not on my priority list in Vietnam due to lack of quality but this steak was GOOD!!!! US quality good!!! The drink was very refreshing and perfect to drink in a hot and humid city, just what was needed to satisfy my thirst.

I’ll definitely be coming back to this place next year when I visit again.

If you’re wondering where to go for any occasion, this is the place. We had a group of over 20 people and they sat us down quick and was very attentive to our every need. Good staff!!

Deliciously good .. sampled breakfast & lunch menu - a mix of local and foreign tastes. Beautifully designed indoor/outdoor modern yet comfy space.

Recently, CTY took a new approach to their menu by focusing on modern Vietnamese food and the results are outstanding. To me, it is delicious food that is bridging the gap between local and global favorites to produce something new and unique to this city.

Having said that, my go to is still the Ribeye. You really can’t beat the flavor and value. If you’re a steak lover, I highly recommend checking out their Signature Steak Night they hold every Wednesday.

For those needing a new lunch spot in their rotation, you definitely need to stop by and enjoy their well designed business lunch set. They’ve managed to pair good portion sizes along with good value. Not always an easy thing to do.

The owner is absolutely amazing very friendly and welcoming he offered my friends and I dessert on the house, blueberry cheesecake, and watermelon cake. It was absolutely amazing and delicious. Definitely going back there again for Christmas lunch with the rest of my friend group.

The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and beautiful display on each dish. Service staff are extremely knowledgeable gave attentive service. I love my steak, truffles mash potatoes , and watermelon layered cake full of fragrance and refreshing. Amazing! Highly recommend 💗💗💗
