Mr. Mi

Mr. Mì is a little eatery just off the main Le Loi street. We sat on the balcony overlooking Pasteur street while enjoying 2 bowls of "Mì Xá Xíu Hồng Kông" (Hong Kong char siu noodles), VND 45.000 each.

The eatery is located on the first floor (or second floor, correct me if I'm wrong) of a fairly shabby apartment, so on the way to get to the eatery, there would be some uncomfortable smells.

They were short-staffed, with only an old couple doing everything, so we had to wait a bit.

I heard they intended to close the place back in June 2022 due to short of expenses, but probably thanks to customers coming more and more, they were able to keep the place open. Therefore, each of the customers who come and eat here is a great support to the old couple to maintain their business.

I ordered ”mì Mr.King 1 người” and “bông cúc nhãn nhục”. I felt really reminiscent of the fast noodle dishes when I saw this bowl. The sauce is amazing and the texture of the noodle was so alike to what I’ve eaten when I was little in Vietnam. Everything on the dish was great. The pork rib was tender and juicy but the sauce was a little sweet. I expected more heat from that but the rib in whole was decent. The egg yolk of the boiled egg was still runny and I loved it. I used that as a complimentary sauce to the noodle and it was the most clever choice. The soup aside was just a simple broth but this elevated the dish so well. The drink I ordered was also great. I love the fact that you can eat and still enjoy the street view+environment of Saigon without sitting too near to it.

I would like to say It’s a lovely tiny restaurant. I recommend you to come here . It’s local food from old local .

Delicious noodles! I got the Hong Kong style with extra char sui. Noodles were delightful as was the egg and morning glory that can with it. So affordable, clean, and great service. Can’t wait to come back!

Homey vibes. Food prepped by old couples makes it very homey. Love the balcony seat facing the outdoor. The soup of Beef and shrimp noodles was nice!!!

Mì Mr. King rất là ngon nha mọi người. Không gian quán có view bên ngoài rất chill, chủ quán rất là dễ thương!

tiệm ở trên lầu, hơi nhỏ nhưng mà bù lại khoảng có khoảng ban công ngồi nhìn xuống rất là chill luôn, đồ ăn ngon, giá trung bình, sườn ở đây có cái sốt rất ngon, nên thử nha mọi người

Tuy đường lên quán khá nhỏ nhưng món ăn rất ok ạ. Ông bà chủ quán với mấy bạn nhân viên cũng rất dễ thương, mong mọi người đi ăn ủng hộ quán cho ông bà nha🥰
