This is a fabulous family owned business and I'd reccomend them to anyone for fishing or whale watching to anyone at any time.

They make the most of the space at their disposal. As noted, puzzles and games for younger kids, but it was even more fun when our kids were a bit older. We're a reading family and having everything from popular novels, young adult novels, classics, historical non-fiction, coming to the store to browse the possibilities is an event in itself. It's something we could spend a happy hour doing. Then the beach reading we left with, while also really enjoyable was also worth spending time over our week's vacation talking to each other about. Fun to visit, fun to buy something, fun to read, fun to discuss, four fun outcomes from one trip to the store. It's a great deal!

Each time I am in Cape May, along with Lucky Bones and Willow Creek, this books store is on the list of stops. Cozy and has the most up to date non fiction and fiction books ready and available with staff who enjoys and can easily discuss their tastes in books and good restaurants. Great view from the window by the register as well. I never pass up an opportunity to grab a book or two- which they happily slide a bookmark in.

I have been after the White Mountain jigsaw puzzle I Love NJ for quite some time now. It has been out of stock at the White Mountain website since the height of the pandemic. I noticed last summer that Cape May Book Company carried this company’s puzzles, but did not have the NJ one in stock. The woman I spoke to there said they would try to order it and to check back. Finally after many months of “touching base” with CM Book Co., she/they sent me a message letting me know they received a shipment and put one aside for me. They were very accommodating and helpful.

Very clean, cute, and well organized little book store. Absolutely amazing selection of jigsaw puzzles! A nice selection of Cape May historical books too.

We visited from Rochester, NY. What a great stop. So much fun to browse and friendly staff. Will be a must-stop whenever we pass through!

The staff was very helpful to me and my daughter. It was nearly organized and well stocked for a small bookstore. We will definitely come back.

Enjoyable to browse this store looking for a great beach book. They offer books on local history and hauntings, as well as new best sellers and classics.

Very quaint but a nice selection of books! They have a section that specifically is for local authors that I really liked!
