Sunset Beach

If you are looking for an uncrowded beach where the waves are gentle, this is the perfect place for you. It is a great place to fish and the sunsets are beautiful. One of the main attractions is the sunken cement ship that is just off the beach. There are 2 parking lots and street parking as well. There are 2 gift shops, a miniature golf place, and a beach grille that serves pretty good food. The larger gift shop also allows people to use the restroom, and everyone is super nice. And last but not least, you can find "Cape May Diamonds" in the sand. Highly recommend for all kinds of fun!

Nice little stop to add to your Cape May visit. Explore the beach for souvenirs, military history nearby. Learn about the concrete ship and the history behind the Cape May diamonds. Two little souvenir shops, mini golf, restaurant, military Lookout all in one place.

We found alot of Cape May Diamonds this trip. Great place for a walk and then neat little gift shop.

First time visiting sunset beach. During a dolphin watch a few months ago we went by the beach and was told all about it and cape may which piqued our interest.
It did not disappoint. Beautiful historic scenery. Spent most of our beach time searching for ‘cape may diamonds’ and sea glass. Found a bunch plus a shark’s tooth and a fossil. Had a nice time with my husband.

Great place for viewing the beach sunset at NJ. Beautiful beach and sunset views, especially in the backdrop of the ship wreck. Place gets crowded during the sunset time. There is a free parking space, but it will get filled up quickly, even on weekdays. But you can park on the roadside and go have the nice sunset views. Store is also great to visit.

This is the place to go to cleanse your soul. Something about Sunset Beach makes you let go of your troubles and put things in perspective. It is absolutely beautiful. The shop there are unique and fun and you could spend a couple hours in the crystal shop alone. If you haven't visited here yet you need to put it on your bucket list and make the time to go!

Love it all times off day the best is moon lit walks on the beach from the point u can walk to light house ,world War bunker, play mini golf,eat ,spend the day on beach collecting shells and relaxing catching sun, great place to spend time with loved ones

Love this beach I been coming here to visit the concrete ship and collect Cape May diamonds since I was a little kid in the late 80s/early 90s. Greatest beach in NJ!!

This is a beautiful place and a must visit spot when you are visiting Cape May. Free Parking zone is available here. There are not much options for food though but the beauty of the beach will compensate it. Nice place to spend some time in the nature.

Beautiful place to watch the sun move out of our visual perception. Very crowded on the last Sunday night before school starts, but still lots of places on the beach.

Variety of all gifts you can think of. The shop on the right has everything from home goods, jewelry, pins, magnets, stickers, food, personal hygiene items and other similar things. Also items from local makers.

Across the way of the parking lot are all the shirts, sweaters, hats and various rocks. Can find your beach stuff at this one. Overall nice couple stores before you hit Sunset Beach

An amazing beach for sunset view. Parking will mostly be full at evening times, at that case I see people parks their car in the roadside and walk to beach to enjoy the sunset. I have been to this place 8 years back and I get the same positive vibe at this place. Staffs at the shops are friendly and welcoming. Appreciate the people visiting this place keeps clean and makes use of the trash cans. Benches are erected facing the beach. Moderately crowded beach but you will enjoy your time here. Not sure about swimming though.

This one of my favorite places to visit. Love taking our kids here to pick up Cape May diamonds, look for shells and sea glass, and take our pup for a walk on the dog friendly beach. Sunsets are incredible here and it's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or catch the sunset on camera.

My daughter caught a flounder once, a little small so we couldn't keep it, but great fun watching others pull in fish and rays and other cool things, too.

I've also met some of the nicest people here! Definitely a 'happy place.'

Lovely gift shop with a large assortment of knick knacks and decorations. I bought a few beach themed frames and a cool won't chime. There are a ton of things to look at and purchase in here. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Great store. Really nice staff. Great merchandise! These hot sauces are fantastic! The packaging is so imaginative! Veteran owned!
