Food Lion

Great produce, has pretty much everything I'm looking for, friendly staff and just leave the heavy items in your cart they will scan it with the handheld scanner. Typical busy time they are busy but managers will jump on a register.

My favorite place to shop for groceries! Very helpful kind and courteous staff!

I love that we were able to buy 90% of our Thanksgiving dinner at Food Lion on Thanksgiving morning. Everything was in stock that we needed to feed 20 people. I really appreciate them also having wine. I also appreciate all of the vegan/vegetarian items in stock. Great store if you're in this very small town.

Stopped in for a few items for dinner tonight. Lots of fresh produce greeted me so I had to pick up a couple extra fruit to snack. The store is always clean and the staff is always kind.

The store was very clean, well-stocked, and organized. The produce and bakery sections are beautifully laid out. The deli attendant was very knowledgeable and courteous. There was even a bright, young stocker named Benjamin, who helped with getting our groceries in our vehicle. This Food Lion location is very impressive and the closest we have to a Whole Foods or Harris Teeter shopping experience. The management team and staff exemplify good old fashioned customer service!

This store is very convenient. It is right on the main road. Plenty of parking, good prices and sales and use the app for money saving coupons. The best thing about this store is the staff. They actually offer to take your groceries out and put them in your car for you. I didn't think I'd see that kind of service again. Much appreciated! The bakery does a super job too. Clean and well stocked. A good place to shop.

Clean, well stocked as always!! Nice people around and one time I was almost finishing dinner at home but I need to buy a spice. The Food lion nearest Is this one and they let me in to buy a spice before they closed. That was very kind of them. Also if you the prices are too much become a member online in the app!!

Buyer beware! We have lived in the Glen Lake Apartments over 4 years now. As of late, We have noticed a stark decline in this Smithfield store. We only eat organic or free range eggs. We buy Happy Eggs when possible. We noticed the eggs were replaced with regular food lion brand brown eggs. One time may have been a mistake. But after experiencing the same problem three times in a row. We stopped shopping at this store.

Fresh produce good meats but the deli baked my birthday cake it was beautiful and delicious.

Love the employees but the customers are on the rude side. I dislike shopping in Smithfield for that reason, the ratio of rude people seems to be the highest in the area surrounding me. I drive the extra miles most of the time so I don't have to deal with them.
Store has a really small vegetable section

Very good place, clean and organized friendly employees there as well. Fresh vegetables and produce easy parking and no long lines I like this one better than the other ones around town. I recommend this place.

Clean abd easy in and out

Always friendly and helpful staff! Usually have what we want available. Good prices. Produce is fresh! Also, we never have to wait in long lines like at Walmart!

There is a foodlion closer to my home but I have recently started coming to this one because the employees are always super friendly and fast at checking out! The team work is undeniable at this foodlion!

It's an older location but clean and the staff is nice! Always well stocked!

This is my favorite food lion. Nicer people always have what I need. Just one complaint I noticed her all the foodlions here. The fried chicken is awful. I go to Harris teeter for it.

Favorite Foodlion to shop at!
There's a young man with Autism who helps customers load their cars with their groceries. His name is Benjamin, goes by Benji, he is so kind and helpful. He asked if he could push my cart to my car, promised he'd load everything quickly and he wouldn't break or squish anything or hit my car with the cart. He got so excited when I told him he could help. And he asked if I said "yes" bc of his persuasion skills. He loved my car and said it was different and said that was cool bc not every car needs to be the same. When he was done he skipped away with my cart! Best experience yet at Food Lion. And props to Food Lion leadership for giving Benji a chance to work and make other people's day. He told me he likes to help others bc it makes him feel good from his heart.

I enjoy the layout of the store it's very easy to find the important things and the aisles are clearly marked. They also have friendly employees which does make a difference.

Ok, so, some stores have been renovated, and the store on Business Route 70, in SMITHFIELD is now my wife's favorite! Me I don't care! I like them all! I like their sales items!

This Food Lion is very clean & neat. Very helpful & friendly staff. I will definitely be shopping here more
