Target

On a cloudy day just before the new year, to decided to stop at Target while packing and cleaning my apartment. I wanted to quickly get a scrub brush & permanent sharpie to mark my boxes for moving. My stride instantly changed into a stroll walking through the Target aisles my eyes lit up when I spotted the perfect gift “Plant Mom” coffee mug, macramé fyi plant holder, and plant candle. My arms became completely full. I blissfully strolled a little further and found myself immersed in the office supply section with new calendars & planners…do I dare? What am I calling in this new year…oh my soul mate!!! I need to buy 2 calendars one for me & one for him but what is his style? Oh…sharpies yes that’s what I needed but do I want the super fat sharpie in black or super cool metallics?!?! Grabbing more and leaning in I grab a mechanical pencil. I made my way through the store in a frenzy all the new Valentine's Day stuff is out & love is in the air! I headed to the front end & grabbed a cart heading back towards the cleaning supplies when it struck me…I am famished & my most favorite treats are on sale!!! I grab some dots Pretzels and my favorite Brookside chocolate covered blueberries are on sale, oh I can’t resist! I finally make my way to the checkout, and I am seduced by the papyrus Valentine’s Day cards. I grab enough for the whole family and my future soulmate making my way to the checkout where Maddie greets me with a friendly smile. I grab a few magazines to make my New Year’s vision board Before checking out. Grace Kelly I almost bought your magazine too but the spiritual magazines had more pictures. Target you are a worthy ally for all my creative inspirations! Thank you Maddie for being so friendly and having a great conversation with me before my daunting task of packing up my apartment. I spent most of yesterday afternoon calling eyewear stores in the area. I'm visiting the Quad Cities from Virginia and I needed glasses. After a long wait on hold with the insurance company, i was provided with a list of locations that would accept my insurance. Starting at the top of the list, I began calling each store to verify that both the store, as well as their doctor administering the
eye exam, would indeed accept my insurance. I was told everything from "I don't know, I really don’t” to “The doctor is a separate business and you need to call them" to just general poor customer service and indifference. This was not the lowa "nice" that I've come to expect. This afternoon I called the last store on my list, Target Optical on Elmore Ave. I knew within seconds of Alex answering the phone that this call was different. Her goal was to address my questions and find answers. She did so in an affable and profession manner. Even though we were on the phone, from my perspective, it seemed as if I was the most important customer to Alex. Who could ask for anything more?

Kaitlyn and Drew and the team in tech, specifically cell phones are great! Patient, knowledgeable and fully researched my phone issue, worked with my carrier and fixed the issue. This store is exceptionally clean too.

I always tell people to use google to find what they need to know that they are getting the best possible price and I consistently get the best price at Target and when I get there to pick it up they are always willing to give you the best service. Sweet and helpful.

This store was exceptionally clean, orderly and well stocked. The customer service was above and beyond. A rare find in todays world.

Very clean and well organized. Good selection of products. Very polite and friendly associates and managers. Atmosphere is so positive because it's nicely lit and feels clean. I like the fact that they have a little cafeteria and also a Starbucks cafeteria where one can stop for a drink or a bite to eat.

Went to buy replacement car seat for grandson. Target was offering car seat turnin coupon. Item was in stock, at a good price and coupon added to the good deal.

I have shopped at Target for literal decades and have never once felt compelled to leave a review one way or another. Today was different: out shopping with my three kids, I was in line and distracted while placing things on the belt and the lamp I was purchasing broke. Target folks were kind and calm, cleaned up the mess quickly, found another lamp in the back, and never once made me feel like the frazzled mess of a human I was at that moment. In the lane next to mine, a mom spilled her Starbucks and they replaced it for her while they quickly cleaned the floor. Then on the radio they all thanked each other for the effort. I always enjoy Target but this was above and beyond.

Love Target for it's products, staff and overall atmosphere!
