Small record store with lots of characters, and a neat Listening Loft. They seem to have adopted 2 young store cats as well! Very sweet and playful. A great place to shop, and seems like a great place to work as well. Definitely stop in if you’re in Chesterton.

I am thrilled that Chesterton finally has a record store! They are wonderful people and have some of my favorite merch! I tell everyone about this place!

Great vinyl shop. Was there for Record Store Day 2023 and they made it really fun for everybody. Gave out coffee and donuts for people waiting for door opening. Wonderful selection and I had some great finds. I'll be back for sure.

Husbands favorite store. I love the cats and the sense of humor the store has! Merry Christmas!

Trusty spot is a befitting name for this record store. You can trust the the owners have endless knowledge of a wide variety of genres as reflected in their diverse selection of records both new and used. Great atmosphere, selection, and conversation. Highly recommended. They’ve reignited my love for vinyl. See you soon.

The local record store is more than a place to buy records (tees / stickers etc). It's a place to share the love of music with others. And in many ways sharing music is an act of love. The most sincere IMO. Thank you Trusty Spot for providing that venue and experience! They have curated a great selection of records across many genres...and it grows weekly. Great prices and super knowledgeable staff too!

Great record store and a fantastic addition to Chesterton's small town shopping experience. Good selection of new and used vinyl as well as band related or interesting t-shirts. The inventory is ever expanding as well. Dave and Amy are super helpful. If there is something specific you are looking for, they are always more than eager to help/special order, etc. They also participate in Record Store Day now so big things are happening. Don't sleep on this place as they are culturally contributing to our community in ways people don't realize yet.

Nice little shop. I'd been here before, but they had a very limited stock of pre-owned vinyl. Now is a totally different story. Lots of nice records and a good variety of bands. They also have a good amount of new vinyl and shirts/posters as well.

Great spot to find additions to your record collection! There's a listening corner upstairs to spin your wax. They also have other fun items to bring home, like a serial killer saint candle to burn while you sip the blood of your enemies from the mug you got there as you spin your record backwards to hear the secret message. Also, there's shop kitties that are cuddly little angels.

Very good selection! Usually record shops have a million records and you end up taking an hour to find something of worth. Trusty spot has such a unique, but not overbearing selection that will appeal to anyone. The workers I talked to were very sweet too. If you don't want records, go buy a t-shirt or something. Support your local businesses. Support good people.

Have always found something interesting to buy and the staff couldn’t be any friendlier. A gem of a store.

I called on a whim looking for ABBA albums with low expectations of what would come of the call. Within the month, Captain Dave called back telling me he had four (flawless) ABBA records waiting for me. Trusty Spot goes out of their way to provide high quality products, belly laughs, and positive vibes to each customer. Highly recommend checking them out and stopping in their listening loft!

Folks that know me know that I’m generally disinclined towards speaking plainly, but I say true and straight that Trusty Spot may be the highlight of Chesterton, Indiana. Great customer service, selection, and prices. If only they’d get around to hiring a long-haired man with some funny smelling cigarettes to hang out in the corner, you’d think you never left the good old days.

I felt very welcomed in this record store. Record stores are sometimes intimidating to me but the employees here were very inviting and knowledgeable. There was a god mix of old and new artists. I’m looking forward to discovering some new music from here, and I won’t be afraid to ask for recommendations. Yay music!

Awesome local store. Big variety of music with new music each week. Listening lounge is available to check out any of the used albums. Super friendly and very helpful owners are always happy to help!

I went to Trusty Spot Records on their opening day and bought a couple preowned records, both were in pristine condition and I couldn’t be happier. The owners are very nice as well! I’m excited to have a record store like this in Chesterton. If you’re thinking about going and haven’t yet, definitely stop in!

Walked in and was greeted with good tunes and a friendly hello! A nice place to find some gems. The owner were really cool and made us feel like we have been going in there for years. Definitely worth stopping in. I will be back, more then once I am sure!

Didn't know Trusty Spot Records was there until my daughter and I walked past. She asked me to go in and look around. So glad I did, found an album I've looked for, for a few months now. New nonetheless. Dave, the proprietor I believe, was extremely nice and helpful. Probably one of the better experience I have had!
