Kroger

The store was clean, well stocked, and offers big savings with in-store coupons available by swiping a Kroger rewards card, entering a Kroger plus customer phone number, or using the Kroger app.

To be honest, I preferred it when this Kroger was smaller, but it's still a fine place to shop for groceries, prescriptions, deli, bakery, meats etc.
The shelves are getting more full lately, so it make it easier to shop. The weekly sales are pretty good and if use use their app, then awhile world of shopping is open to you.

This Kroger has an excellent specialty cheese section. The cheese monger is friendly and knowledgeable. This is the only place in Saginaw where I have found imported and U.S. made cow, sheep and goat milk cheeses. Lots of different types of cheeses to try.

Good quality beef, seafood, chicken, lamb, bison, turkey & pork. I really only eat shrimp or salmon pertaining to seafood so I can't really talk about the quality of their fish selection. I'm glad that this location has a bakery and a deli for fresh items. Although I'm not much of a cake, donut or pie type of person, I do enjoy a good blueberry pie. I really only buy fruits and vegetables nuts seeds rice and beans, also they have a pretty decent cheese selection. Their selection of spices and condiments is quite awesome and a good Variety.

The sushi is usually pretty good if you get it fresh. However there are better options at nearby restaurants. They also have plenty of options for dish soap laundry soap hand soap body soap lotion other household cleaners and other hygiene items. They have plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, foil, Ziploc bags Tupperware and Saran wrap. You can even find a few good cutlery items for your next barbecue or grill out. They have a pharmacy here which also has quite a few vitamins and supplements, first aid related items etc.

They have a few good stationary supplies like notebooks pencils pens envelopes clipboards glue etc. They have a decent selection for pet supplies and childhood care, but just the basics.
Their beer wine and liquor section has improved greatly over the years and I'm glad they added a little bit more variety, I'm glad they have since added rum vodka whiskey and other fine spirits. It used to be just beer and wine a number of years ago. They have a few tobacco related products, of course lottery, and a few other resources and services that you may be surprised to find at a Kroger. Such as a kiosk for the Secretary of State.

There is nothing I enjoy about the self checkout Lanes that seem to be so prevalent and prominent at just about every grocery store you go to. I would much rather wait in line at an actual cashier that is ringing up items or codes that I don't feel like typing in and making sure that I get right, besides that usually if I go to the cashier there is often a bagger personnel available. But usually there is a cashier available you may just have to wait. In all honesty the self checkout lane does not seem to be a very good practice of a retail store, as a matter of fact it seems to be a practice of a commercial store or whatever the technical term is I'm looking for. Point-blank if you did not hire me to ring up or bag the various items that I purchase that I do not want to use self-checkout.

My only complaint about this Kroger is there are never enough check out lanes open, therefore usually a LONG WAIT!!

Really friendly employees! You never run into any angry employees, except in the meat department, there’s a tall white lady about 50 years old. She’s mean as hell! If you make eye contact with her, she runs! She doesn’t want to help the customers. Otherwise great store. Maybe they can talk to her, I quit buying from the meat counter, I don’t want to deal with her.

Store is clean and organized. Items are well stocked and staff very nice and helpful.

I love shopping here, items are grouped in lanes together and listed on signage above each isle. Fresh produce and organic options are available.

I have shopped here for over 4 years. This is a friendly and helpful Kroger's. They always have full shelves and fresh produce. Staff are always ready to help people. Many of the staff here invest in their community and I respect that immensely. They have one of the best Tri-cities Sushi shops as well.

I want to publicly thank a beautiful Angel who works at Kroger on State for helping me last night.
Her name is Bettina.
I was doing a big Instacart shop for a customer and I had two carts of groceries. First Bettina insisted on helping me take the carts out to my car, then when I was done putting the groceries in my trunk, I got in my driver seat only to find that my phone was missing so I couldn’t get to the customers address.
I searched everywhere and even asked a nice couple who pulled up beside me to call my phone but it was on vibrate so I could not hear it.
I went inside to see if it was at the register that I checked out at but it wasn’t, and Bettina handed me her phone to take back out so I could call my number over and over listening for the vibration.
I was in panic mode by then and she came back out and searched my car with me. She kept me calm and was just so kind.❤
About an hour after I lost it I finally found it in the bottom of one of the customers grocery bags it must’ve fell into.
This young woman has a heart of gold and renewed my faith in our younger generation. Give her a big raise so you can hold on to her Kroger.

I have found all of the groceries I need for my meals and they have a lot of varieties of food and meat and fresh vegetables and can goods. They have great cards and gifts and personal items and can get almost every thing you need!👍🙂✨

"Kraig" at the fresh meat counter was extremely helpful. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The best part is that he did it with a smile! This was my first time visiting the seafood counter here. I will definitely be back and have already recommended that others try it as well. He suggested the seasoning and baking bag which I tried and my family liked very much. I also recommended this to others too. Thank you for the wonderful service!! I opted not to go to the self scan this time and was met with two more employees who had great attitudes..."Karen" and "Larry". They were quick AND friendly. My groceries were bagged in a common sense way as well! Thank you thank you thank you!

Gorgeous Kroger! Great selection of things and a wide variety of everything else. So many gourmet cheeses and options in the deli also a top notch sushi station, one of the best I've seen even better than in some restaurants. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful store after the remodel, they have just about everything you need in food. Just wish all stores would do more on making sure there parking lots and surroundings are not cultered with trash. If they kept the outside as well as the inside it would be a 10 star.

I must admit it did take me a while to warm up to the store with the new renovation. Now I really love shopping here. They offer a large variety of products and some that I could only find at Whole Foods. I just want to mention that if you have the Kroger app, you can actually search for an item and it will give you the price and location.

Very nice and warm shopping experience they have items that other stores don't carry also using the Kroger discount card you even save more money plus you get discounts on gasoline at different gas stations. Well worth checking out, don't think you will be disappointed.

Generally very clean. Prices are going up on some things but at least they have full shelf's unlike Walmart!!!

I like Kroger. They have good produce and good deals on soon to be expired meat. Always check the meat clearance, you can always freeze it! Also nice to get $ off gas once in a while.

Hands down the best shopping experience in Saginaw. I'm here multiple times a week and the employees are super helpful! Remodel is looking fantastic. Keep up the good work!

Upon entering the double automatic opening doors you're entering the cart area. Choose your cart and enter through the doors.
Walking left towards the freezer section or turn right, straight through the fruit & vegetables area.
Every fruit and cut up trays ready to eat are assembled. There are apples 1 at a time or a bag of 10. A wall of bulk candies & nuts & more. Nice to get sushi in front of the cheese cooler. Found some red wax Gouda that goes great with smoked salmon. Fresh breads at the delicatessen.
Find deals on pork chops, fresh beef, and chicken with shrimp as well.
Get deals on napkins and other household items as such.
Kroger on State Street is where I get all my shopping done. They supply all the chocolate milk and ice cream I could ever want. Plus, a shelf of toppings, including Smucker's ™ pineapple & strawberry toppings.
Before exiting, swing in towards the frozen pizza section, and get 13 French Bread Pizzas at $1 each.
There's a Pharmacy with multiple Technicians to serve you. Kroger on State is a clean environment with great people all around. Appreciate being able to complete a shopping list all at one awesome place, Kroger on State Street Saginaw, Michigan.
