When and tonight at around 10:30 to grab a couple of puff bars and was astonished at the selection, same with their liquor there's kind of a little bit for everyone. It's also good to know the owners do giveaways and stuff for bourbon and generally have really good prices compared to other stores in the area. I'll definitely come back.

SELECTION IS OUTSTANDING. I have been looking for a particular bottle in 3 states and here it is and for a very reasonable price. Many other hard to find bottles on the shelves, too. Not unicorns, but hard to find, to be sure. Friendly proprietor who will help in any way he can. Great prices, very nice selection and easy to get to - can't beat it. Will be a repeat customer every trip to town!!

Fantastic store, excellent selection, Kumar is such a nice guy, and such a convenience to our neighborhood. People reviewing on some of the higher-end spirits pricing are out of line. Go TO the grocery store you speak of if you know the prices so well! I support this local business 100%.

We stopped in today to see what this place was all about. We were just shocked at the selection. They have EVERYTHING and then some more. I love trying new stuff and there is no shortage of that here. The prices were reasonable and the owner was very personable. It's a beautiful store. I'm happy to support a locally owned business. Skip Hy-vee liquor and check this place out.

You want a liquor store that has more than bud light and seltzers (which this place also has) get your butt to this store. Some of the best bourbon, scotch, rum, tequila, and whatever the hell else selection you could want. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and lets you occasionally sample some of the nicer liquors. Stop by this place and make it your wdsm/waukee liquor store. Who knows you may stop in on a Tuesday and meet a new friend called AB!

I've only been going to University Liquors for a short time but I have become a regular customer. TJ does a great job and know his products. He has a great selection, especially in the bourbons, many which you can't find at other stores.

Take a visit whether you’re a just a good ole Busch drinker or a connoisseur of fine wine and whiskey this is your one stop shop. The owners Singh and Kumar and exactly what the neighborhood needed they are so friendly and care about their customers. If you don’t see what you’re looking for just ask they will stock what their customers want. 10/10 best liquor store in the area!

Fantastic selection of bourbons without being overpriced. The staff is always helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend stopping in and checking them out.

The owners are outstanding gentlemen, who will assist you any way they can. The store is always clean. It's a new addiction in west Des Moines, that was needed. If I could give more stars I would.

I have been going to University Liquors since it opened and it has quickly become a favorite... really nice store, big selection (wine, spirits, beer, etc.), and the nicest team you could imagine. Five stars!!!

University Liquors great prices, great service, the Owner tries his hardest to keep his customers happy on getting what the people ask for. I would definitely recommend this store and would visit again my next visit to Des Moines.

If you want a special bottle or any new product, they will get it for you if it's available. Also super friendly and will respond to Facebook messages about products. The only liquior store I go to!
