This is the nicest Academy I've been to. Very clean and organized and stocked with unique items that aren't in every store. The Star of the show is Melissa, the door greater. Very knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly. I will be back!

Always a great experience, found my Ruger ec9s at a great price! John at the counter took time to show me multiple like guns to compare my big hands to. Love it!

Micheal who only works week ends answered my questions on game cameras on his own time when he was punched out and off the clock. Very helpful!

We were back to school show shopping and it looked like they were out of my daughter's "dream shoe". Great selection. Even has sizes for curvaceous women. This is such a blessing to see.

Good deals on shoes, shorts, shirts and socks. It's my go to for hot weather clothing. They usually have a pretty good selection of ammunition as well.

Went in today, July 14th, and Janice checked me out. She was courteous and fixed price issues where the scan was higher than the price on the tags. Amazing employee.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful. The store is quite large with many options. I just went to browse grills today and smokers and they have plenty of options for decent prices.

First time visiting this store as a new Georgetown resident. I was pretty impressed with their selection of outdoor cooking accessories (primarily what I was looking at). It's a nice large store with a great selection of items in every section. I scored a folding digital instant read food thermometer from AcuRite that is highly rated and a 40lb. bag of B&B hardwood bbq pellets, both at a very good price.

Update: So yeah this is the 3rd time and the guys at the gun counter came in clutch. I definitely appreciated their patience and everything about the experience. Very knowledgeable, very kind. It felt less like an annoying process to go through and more like hanging out with friends. I think the staff over there are newer at this store because I haven’t seen them yet but they’re a really good team. Thanks again guys!

The older gentleman that works the gun counter is great, enjoyed working with him. Knowledgeable, and made a suggestion on the pearl grip barkeep revolver. Good to see him smile when I talked about the nice two tone on the one I did buy. Definitely the best experience I had buying from academy, he ran a tight ship making sure he addressed all the customers.

I bought a bike from Academy because it came fully assembled. I rode it home and didn't feel right. Rode it a couple of times and the chain came off, and the gears were NOT working correctly. But proceeded to add accessories on it, and noticed the bicycle fender was skewed. To make a long story short, Josh the Manager at Academy traded the bike for the same one, and Randy put the accessories on the bike. EVERYTHING WORKS WONDERFULLY AND PERFECTLY. I've ridden about 10 miles every day since. I'm so happy! Thank you Josh for making it right and thank you Randy for going the extra mile.

We ran in to get our grandkids some swim stuff everybody must be swimming this summer because we got the last of everything 😂

The staff at the gun counter are very friendly & knowledgeable. I was stuck between the purchase of 5 different guns. They were able to help me narrow down to 2 guns, which I was able to purchase.

They have a great selection of items a family uses. From shorts for my 6-year-old to sites for my 9 mm I can get it all right here. Plenty of parking and great customer service as well. I love living in Georgetown.
