St. Matthews Ace Hardware and Paint

Have been buying my Scotts lawn treatments here 1-4. About $35 each. Great personal service

Bigger on the inside than outside. Reminds me of a Tardis. This is the first time I’ve been in this new hardware store that opened recently. I must say I was very impressed. A great selection of many of the items they carry. If you need a smoker, grill or parts they have most of the major manufacturers grills including Weber and the big green egg and pellet smokers. They have a great selection of various accessories as well.

If you need a bolt or nut They have a large selection and with the outstanding service you will get you’ll find it will be much easier to locate the right hardware here as opposed to the big box stores. Very good selection of plumbing parts for sinks and toilets. They also have a good selection of outdoor tools, hoses and fittings.

There is a lot more and you’ll be amazed with how much they have when you walk in. I thought their prices were very reasonable as well and in line with the major big box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot. Much better service too. This will be my go to store for hardware related items before I try the large competitors. It’s good to have another real hardware store right in the heart of St. Matthews again. Between this store and Sutherland Hardware on Brownsboro you should find all you need.

Update: Found a nylon screw that nobody else had and discovered 35’ of both sides of an aisle with nothing but screws, knobs, washers for just about anything. Fantastic selection!

It has that old timey, hometown hardware store feel that you can't get in a big box store. And the service was very personal

Always good service and good prices on things in their flyers. It's much bigger than it seems. After walking all the way through, they seem to have everything that I would need from Home Depot except for lumber.

I started coming here for glass cutting, but I keep coming back for the service! The big box stores won't even cut a chain for you currently, but Ace is still full service. I really appreciate that they are here.

Went in with a couple of strange requests (black Shoe-Goo, 3/16 X 1 in. tension rods). They had both! Plus, a woman took me to find the items. Super helpful and knowledgeable. Truly a fine hardware store.

I love this store!! I am greeted as soon as I walk in and immediately asked how I can be helped. I have never walked away without what I need. I am so glad Ace has not caved in to big box store pressure!! Ace IS the place!!

Bought an Egg stand & Blackstone Grill in the morning and by the afternoon Rick and his brother delivered them. They were fantastic & deserve just as much recognition as the ACE store. Great workers and a great selection at the store! Glad they’re in St. Matthews!!!

Friendly staff fair amount of inventory just didn't have what I needed today

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices we're a little bit higher but it is more of a smaller hardware store than the big box stores. It is worth shopping here just so you can have interactions with employees who care about their jobs. Also, I spoke to the owner and it is locally owned.

After going to Lowe's and to Sherwin-Williams, I was able to find everything I needed at my local Ace hardware store and

I'm sure glad to find out. I'm new to the area on the furniture maker and I'll be going there from now on

First I would like to say from the day the store open here I was welcome Dave and the crew kept me laughing as I was trying to figure out the things that I need it for my home they were very helpful caring and understanding I’m very happy to have a store close to my residence very convenient my overall with the employees and the store I will give it a 10 from one to 10 thank you so much 💯🔥🔥🔥

This is by far one of my favorite stores. They have great products, great prices and the greatest staff. Every time I go there the staff is helpful, friendly and professional.

They fixed my chainsaw and sharpened my hedge trimmer and my mower blade. Fairly priced compared to some other people.
