Ocean State Job Lot

I had dropped my car off for tires nearby, so I was looking at the stores. It was cold. I went to Ocean State Job Lots and thought of buying a warm jacket as I was wearing only a fleece vest. I picked out a very puffy, warm jacket for $40 and decided to get it. Then I read the sign. Buy one jacket and donate it, right there and get a $40 coupon. So I grabbed 2 jackets, one to donate, one to keep, for only $40. Not just a bargain, a good deed too. Thanks.

This place is awesome. Treat it like a treasure hunt. Just don't expect to always find something you bought last week. Grab it now.

Ocean State Job Lots was always one of my favorite stores! As of last week it is now my absolute favorite! They have the best prices on everything, which is great considering I need everything! I have been going here every day to purchase their Crazy Deals and returning the next day to spend my gift cards! I have gotten some really good gifts, including bluetooth speakers, cool remote controlled puck lights, hand & feet warmers and they paid me back 100% of my purchase in gift cards! I was able to get some really good gifts that were on my list, including a My Pillow and an electric hair clipper set for free!

Yesterday my items didn't produce gift cards because they ran out of the remote controlled puck lights and someone put color changing ones in their place and didn't remove the Crazy Deal sign. The manager, Craig honored the price and deal for me and Susan patiently returned everything on my list and rang them all up again and I left with gift cards for my total purchase! Today I went back (3rd day in a row) and bought a winter jacket for $40 and donated it to a Veteran (a small female veteran) and I am going back tomorrow to get myself the exact same jacket for free with the gift card they gave me! There were only 2 of those jackets left and Susan is holding mine so I can grab it tomorrow! I was able to finish my shopping and purchase gifts to donate to people who are struggling this year and I want to thank Ocean State Job Lots, Craig and Susan for everything they do! I will see you all tomorrow!😊

This place always has an amazingly random selection of stuff. Sometimes I just go in to look around. If you need bird feed or pool chemicals, it's a great place to pick that stuff up. Not much of their merchandise is super high quality, but the price is right.

This place is full of so many hidden gems, especially when it comes to international foods. I was so shocked to find a few different types of Canadian cookies I hadn't had since childhood. Great prices too.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite stores. The merchandise changes quite often so not a good place if you're looking for something specific.

The food section is amazing and cheap. Typically one of the best places to buy pool supplies. If you're lucky enough to hit the plant selection in the front of the store take advantage of it. Prices are half of what home Depot charges.

Lots of great stuff. Great prices too. They carry a bunch of as seen on TV stuff, like the copper brow thing. They have Red Sox 2018 Champions t-shirts for $9.99. They sell toys, food, clothing and household items.
They have good prices on fans and air conditioners

Chock full of deals, fine selection of packaged food, such as Bob's Red Mill products and some imported items. Very helpful staff, that located some things I couldn't find on my own. Definitely worth checking out, if you haven't.

An upscale version of a yard sale. They have a little bit of everything and most of the time it's cheaper than anyone else. From clothes to light bulbs, you can get it all here. Definitely the number one place to buy pool products. Unbeatable prices.

I have to say I left crying that day, I don't speak due to cancer, so I use a board. Craig the manager had said the pool pillows had been shipped back already. I couldn't close my pool. 2 my surprise I turned he had 3 that were going the following day, and I had chest pains, MANAGER OF THE YEAR! AND IT WAS ALREADY 7, STORE CLOSED. GREAT GUY, I NEEDED 1 N BOUGHT 2.

I want to thank Mike from the Danvers, Ma. Store. He lifted two large air conditioners into the wagon and then placed them into the car. He was very accommodating and pleasant.

When the very nice service woman called to have us met at the air conditioner section, Mike showed up promptly.

Ocean state is a great place to go if you need a toaster or a coffee maker or a huge bag of bird seed. It is a fun jumble of random stuff and you can get some incredible deals if they have the thing you are looking for. Batteries, hoses, patio furniture, rugs, all kinds of random stuff. It reminds me of pick & save from when I was a kid. Definitely need to check it out for yourself. Also it is right near Savers which is a fun spot too.

Never go to Saugus location for pool supplies due to POOR picked over inventory

I used to work here for five years. I knew everything about this store. I was the guy you'd come to to find stuff and I WOULD find it. But then a few months ago we got a new manager. Now that's nothing new, I'd already outlasted the 4 prior but when I became the target of harassment from some customers THIS NEW GUY who professed to be someone you could vent to, some one who would back you up, some one was was all about the employees and getting stuff done, WELL he told me I couldn't come back until the issue was solved. Like what the heck? How am I supposed to get a harassment order against someone if I don't know their name? It was this immature psycho neighbor of mine and her friends who would come in to harass me because I ghosted her (AND FOR GOOD REASON). BUT instead of backing me up like he promised the MANAGER CRAIG told me I couldn't come back and all this after both giving me a promotion w/out a raise AND cutting my hours down from 40 to 15. THANKS CRAIG. I had to quit so I could try and find another job or something and now I can't even do unemployment and now I am both broke and homeless. INSIDER CARDS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING UNLESS THE CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT THEY DO, CRAIG.

Other than the lame management this store is one of the best. I miss working here.
