It is Christmas and time to make tamales! At first glance, it feels a little strange to be the only white guy in the store but I love that the staff is so welcoming and so ready to help. It's a great place!

We were making tamales and other Hispanic goodies. For my nieces graduation party. Her theme was enjoy this fiesta. I graduated today. It was a Lovely party. There was more food than everyone could eat, and believe me everyone has seconds and my Mommy even had 3 plates. There was plenty enough left over my Graduate took 4 pans to take home with her.

Oh my gosh the very 1st time we have ever been here.. Everybody is super sweet place is clean smells like fresh baked goods. We're from South Texas and this place has EVERYTHING you need. The Butcher shop has amazing meats. Will definitely be shopping here a lot.

Love this store. Best fresh tamales in the Midwest. Very good fresh baked pastries as well. Being from California we missed real Mexican ingredients. They sell everything you need to make authentic Mexican food yourself. We are lucky to have found them!

My dad and I were extremely impressed with the store. Super friendly workers and lots of fresh ingredients. We are from Texas and so we miss a lot of the things we had back there and this was like a trip back home. One of the ladies working there immediately offered to help us with finding something in the store. The store is also very clean and you can smell the fresh bread all over the store. I will definitely be returning to shop there again!

A great place to get Hispanic groceries, they have a butcher counter inside, and fantastic bakery that makes pastries too (looks like made from scratch unlike other places where they just bake like at Kroger).

Great little Latino market with a lot of Mexican products, a butcher, a selection of vegetables, and fresh 'pan' (Mexican pastries and bread). There also seems to be some type of money transfer service to send money to other parts of the world. Very nice staff and market overall.

Great desserts, the tamales are delicious. I'm not Hispanic, nor can I speak it, but I really like this place. A great find for me.

I love this place so many flavors so many good food the bakery its amazing so much to choose from the tamales are amazing if you like carnitas they do it so good in here good staff salsas are excellent. So much to choose from well recommend

Im in Love. The meat is fresh...at least on Mondays. And the baked goods are tucked away in a wall of glass door and wooden cabinets. Idk its amazing.

This is the best Mexican bakery (panederia) and supermarket in the "Kentuckiana" area. The fresh bread and delightful deserts far exceeds any bakery that serves international delights.
Come and try their warm "Churros," with crunchy and soft bites and muffin breads that are less sugary but full of real vanilla flavor and I guarantee that you will be back.

And their "tamales" made in house are to die for! The last time I had tamales like these was in Oaxaca Mexico on a culinary tour. Enjoy the flavor of Mexico in this store El Mercadito.
