El Paso Grande

We pick up hot ready-to-eat food on Sundays from El Paso Grande. Always fresh and very tasty. They have plenty of options from enchiladas, gorditas to lots of choices of guisados. You can also buy fresh flour tortillas and fresh corn carnitas. Weekends they have great menudo, you just need to arrive early.

I love this store. The workers are kind and it always has great food at the food bar. Definitely recommend.

We placed an online catering order for our Company party this past week and the food was hot and fresh! Communication and customer service was great! We will continue to order for our Company parties.

Great experience! Really liked the home-made food bar (Flautas were a hit with my daughter, the Barbacoa pictured below on a tortilla & heated up at home was tasty with flavors of clove & cinnamon, and their home-made Tamales were nothing short of excellent -- some of the best in Chicago!).
The staff was very helpful so be sure to ask them for any questions (I was looking up a name on a package on my phone, in my search for Mexican Oregano, and one of the people who worked there stopped to help me with that, confirmed my other purchase of dry white corn as I try to make Pozole, and even recommended the amount of pork shoulder to buy).
The bakery items looked delicious, and the meat & fish counter was very well maintained, as was all of the store for that matter.
I'll definitely be returning, and thanks for a great experience for me & my daughter looking for a great Mexican grocery store.

We love their meats, produce, bakery and the hot food that is already made. We have been going their since 1993. Employees are friendly. The store is usually crowded and the parking lots too but we don't care. It's worth the trip.

Go in the morning for fresh flour tortillas and all of the meat and salsa dishes are fresh. They typically sell out by the evenings so get it as early as you can.

They are great people, always very help full. The have fresh produce and the best meat on town at the best price! They also have a lot of good food already cooked if your dont want to make diner.

Best barbacoa and carnitas around., great food

I've ordered catering from here quite a few times and I always say I will do a review but forget. I ordered catering again this weekend and everything was piping hot and delicious. I ordered beef barbacoa, mexican rice, refried beans, salad, nopales (cactus), salsa and even chips and tortillas. (I've had mole, pollo en crema, guisados- all delicious) Everyone raved about the food and asked where I ordered it from. And the portions are very generous! I'm a new fan of their chips and tortillas too. They tasted homemade. I discovered they are from their own tortilleria in Aurora- El Valle Florido. I will be making stops there for sure. Pickup is super easy too and they even take it to your car for you. Winner! Be sure to give El Paso Grande a try for your next Fiesta and you will not be disappointed!

This super market has all your mexican products for your house, specially the meats they sale are really good. And probably the best it's their deli with the different dishes and fresh made tortillas. The food it's to die for. We get awesome food every weekend.

My overall experience was Awesome very knowledgeable staff Norma is whom I delt with I was looking for turmeric and I didn’t know how to say it in Spanish the workers worked together on finding it for me quickly had I had great conversation with them ♥Food is always amazingly delicious 😋 been a long term customer since I was a young girl ♥

I really like their menudo. Their other prepared foods are really delicious, too. It would not be an understatement that you can overbuy in the prepared foods alone.

Great food, but I hope they don’t throw away all the leftovers, & hope one day the roof doesn’t come down.

I like their meat. And they have cooked food as well as groceries. You can find Hispanic items not found in other stores.

My spanish isn't great. All employees here do a good job talking in english when I have a problem finding items.
