Coco Sakula Japanese Grocery Store

Love the selection of Japanese grocery items. The owners are super nice and do such a good job expanding their product offerings. Their sushi and onigiri are delicious. We are so lucky to have this little Japanese grocer in Cincinnati!

Fantastic Japanese grocery store run by a very nice Japanese couple. Great selection of Japanese goods, fresh and frozen and they also make sushi and some donburi (rice bowls) made to order. There's a small area with tables and chairs to eat in or you can take it to go. People also place orders for sushi over the phone for pick up orders. The sushi was great and very very reasonably priced. $12 for a California roll and 5 piece nigiri. $6.50 for 2 pieces of Inari and futomaki (sukeroku set).

This is a fantastic little store with an excellent selection of Japanese goods! I found the broiled tofu I was looking for here, along with a ton of other irresistible goodies! I was just so thrilled to find this place. They have beautiful ceramic bowls and plates, too! The lady running the shop was so sweet and kind, too! Fantastic experience.

Amazing place to get affordable, fresh sushi that are better than so many sit-down restaurants. Well stocked up store with ingredients for japanese cuisine. Owners are so friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Visited today from the Dayton OH area. The store is very clean and well organized. I was able to find a Natto brand I had not seen before in my area. The woman who checked me out was very kind and pleasant. If you're shopping specifically for Japanese fare then I highly recommend Coco Sakula. Thanks and Happy New Year!

So happy to find this Japanese store. The futomaki is excellent. It is the first place in the 11 years I’ve lived in Cincinnati I’ve found authentic futomaki exactly the way my mother made it. No American substitutions.

this place IS AWESOME! If you are in the area, definitely have to check it out! The owners are so kind, and helpful to assist with questions and suggestions on how to prepare things you may not be familiar with. Definitely recommend if you are looking for Japanese groceries!

Friendly owners and an excellent selection! I have had to make do at other import grocery stores for the specialty Japanese things I wanted, and I often had a hard time finding them. Coco Sakula has a great selection of truly Japanese items. I picked up:

premixed koji marinade
local daikon
A suribachi bowl (I had been looking for one for years!)
whole-bean Japanese soy sauce
Umeboshi with no added ingredients and a picture of the farm family on the label
Plus snacks and snacks!

They also have good refrigerated cases of frozen noodles, fish, etc. They had a nice-looking oden set that I will buy when the weather turns colder. The only product I expected to see, but could not find, was sansho, but I don't really need it right now anyway.

I look forward to returning when I have more time, and especially trying out their prepared foods and lunch menu!

Karaage $3, onigiri $1, sushi bento $5, their deli food is delicious and price is actually too cheap imo lol

Lovely little store, great selection and it has super cute decorations. They also have a little seating area where they have pre-prepared food to buy. Employees were very nice too

The futomaki and inari sushi were delicious!!! The shirataki noodles and age were fresh. Want to try more sushi and the umeboshi.

A great little Japanese Market! There are many specialty products and they recently started selling sushi. The owners are so nice. You have to check it out if you love Japanese food.
