Wanted to share a recent experience with Top Notch Auto.
My boyfriend had just had eye surgery next door, and we came out to a dead battery. Jason was so awesome, brought his jump pack immediately, and got us going.
Saved us an hour wait for someone from home to come get us going and he refused payment. What an awesome and friendly guy.

My experience here was truly "Top Notch"! Bill always answers the phone, and is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was very patient throughout the warranty approval process, and completed my repair promptly upon approval. Highly recommend!

Experienced Top Notch Auto a few times for unfortunate mishaps with my vehicle and have been met with absolute professionalism (w/ knowledge and education) and courtesy. Compared to other places I have brought my vehicles in the area, in the past, Top Notch stands tall amongst the rest in the area. Vehicle problems are a pain but, doing buisness with Top Notch to help make those problems go away is far from painful. These guys have earned my repeat buisness into the future. Much respect.

Bill at Top Notch Auto has done most all of the work on 2 of my vehicles for the past 6 or 7 years. He is accommodating, very knowledgeable, reliable and most of all trustworthy. Thank you for taking care of my cars.

Everyone was nice and friendly. They even turned the car around after backing it out of the garage.

I am still going to TopNotch and still find them to be wonderful. He takes good care of my car fixes what's needed and I think he is the most honest car man I have ever met! I always feel I am treated well there. This is my second car I have been taking there and am so thankful for them. Single women that don't know much about cars can easily be taken advantage of, but NEVER happens at TopNotch !
I have been going to Top Notch for a couple of years now. He kept my 2005 running for 207000 miles. When I decided to buy a used car with lower miles I hired Bill to look at it for me and he did. A couple of months later the check engine light came on and He fixed it right up. His prices are good and I will continue to take any problems to him. As any female knows the world of car repair often takes advantage of them, but Bill does not, it is so good to have a repair shop I feel I can trust.

I am changing the 4 stars to 5 now. I had more troubles with my car so I went back to top notch, he was great, looked at the car right away and fixed the problem. I had come to my appointment on the wrong day, but he still got me in and fixed in a timely manor. Then I had another problem the next day, (it's an old car). He looked at it right away and knew what was wrong. I will go to Top Notch with all my old car problems. I would like to give him more than 5 stars. I am thankful I found someone competent and I can trust.

I looked at reviews when my transmission went out and saw Top Notch had good ones so I took my car there. They replaced my transmission with a used one at a reasonable cost and gave me a good warranty for parts and labor. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they didn't call me with timeline updates.

I'm thoroughly happy with the service here. I had a hell of a exhaust leak on my car and they fixed it quickly and for $500 less than the previous shop estimated it would cost. Also, they even came in on a Saturday to finish up the work so that I didn't have to wait till Monday to pick up my car. Very thoughtful!

My husband and I were visiting in Marion, a 7.5 hour drive from home. We have a KIA Soul, and our dealership in GA, put a brand new engine in the car, due to a manufacturer recall a few months ago... I asked at KIA If they also changed spark plugs, etc for the new engine. I was told yes. I am so grateful that we were somehow led to this family owned mechanic shop. Long story short, the spark plugs were old, and never replaced by KIA. These owners were authentic, direct, and fixed the problems and spark plugs for about $200-300 less than the dealership would have. Very very grateful for you guys getting us back home safely! (I am very confused about the "bad" reviews, because I am extremely sensitive to other's energy, body language, integrity, etc. Intuition always on point, and I felt nothing but reassured that we stopped here instead of a different place.)

Got my serpentine belt and air compressor fixed for the standard rate, he even threw in a fuse I needed and warned me about an oil leak. Great service!

Pros: Good prices(I checked around). Staff are nice and try to be understanding. They are good at informing you about other issues if they see it. Local/family owned
Cons: Tend to be booked out quite awhile (Was told by a older friend in the area to take the wait, I'd like them, and it was true.)

So, I've been there a handful of times the past few weeks trying to get work done on my old 2001 Highlander; poor old girl keeps having problems.
They are the only place in Southern Il. that CALLED ME to let me know something else was going on besides what they where working on. I mean, yeah, I might not be able to get that other part fixed right then, but wow, thanks for letting me know!
My poor old Highlander is still always off, she just popped another check engine light, and they, while short handed and booked out for awhile, told me to bring her in on Monday and they would try to look at her. (Please note, I called to leave a message on Saturday, and Dylan(?) called me back on a day they where closed!)
I know these are all issues from my mother not maintaining her before handing her over to me, and I'm thankful they are working with me to get my SUV to a place that she can just take me to work and back here in town.
Top Notch will be getting most, if not all, my car related business as long as I am in the state :D

My husbands car is..... Not pretty or taken care of. On his way to work, his car broke down. We called Top Notch later in the day, and they towed our car to their shop. We happened to catch them at a time when they were slammed, and it did take 2 days to finish our car, but after the fast repair and fair price, I understand why they had so many customers.
I highly recommend Top Notch. The seem very honest (it would have been too easy to tell us there was more going on with our car than the 1 thing that was fixed), and extremely fair on price.

Wanted to give a week or two of driving to make sure nothing went wrong before I gave an honest review. To keep it short, this shop is one of the best I’ve ever been to. I had a catalytic converter replaced on my Jeep and they were fast and efficient. Not to mention best prices in Jackson County without a doubt. If your hesitant to take your car to a shop in an area your not familiar with like I was, I highly recommend taking it to Top Notch Auto where you can get your car fixed awhile having peace of mind not worrying about what they are doing under your hood

Highly recommend Top Notch Auto to anyone looking for someone you can trust with your vehicle. I have a King Ranch F150 and I have done my best to keep it in the absolute best shape I can. On the road for a 40th anniversary trip to Chicago and what happens? Car breaks down! We Googled a Toyota mechanic and were directed to Top Notch. We called Top Notch and the lady gave us turn by turn instructions for getting to their shop.
They were kind enough to fix our car in a jiffy so we could get back on the road. So nice! Very affordable and reasonable charge. Very professional shop!

Top Notch is just that! My father-in-law took his truck in to have brakes replaced. Bill had given the vehicle a thorough assessment and could find nothing major. He didn't even charge him for the assessment. This business is fair, honest and respectable. Thanks for taking care of your customers in a very professional way.

Our family (7 people) were traveling to Florida for a dance competition and our alternator went out on the highway. We ended up getting to the guys at Top Notch Auto. And they were amazing. They got our van in on a Friday at 3:30pm and had us back on the road not even an hour later!

Very good mechanic, has fixed my cars many times. Really nice, courteous, and professional. I would recommend Top Notch for anybody who needs services on there vehicles
