Elrod's Cost Plus Supermarket

I've been buying my groceries at this particular Elrod's store location for many, many years and have never had any problems or bad customer service. I've gotten to know many great and kind people who happen to work at this store for so many years now. Today, I decided to stop by for some light grocery shopping, I got some bad news. I was informed that the store will be closing for business by the upcoming weekend. After, so many many years of being in business, my all time favorite Oak Cliff neighborhood store will be no more. I just hope the amazing people that will no longer be employed with Elrod's, have an amazing new beginning somewhere they'll love just as much as Elrod's.

As a trucker I've been all over the place. This is one of the best little grocery stores I've been to in a long time for the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
I got a lot of things for my truck food wise for a very good price.
The quality looks excellent. Neighborhood isn't bad (I walked and the area could use more street lights on the bridge across i20).
It was quiet. Folks were polite and professional and I was helped quickly and efficiently.
If I ever deliver close by again and need a grocery stop, I'm walking the whole mile to get here!

Visited this place today. I liked it so much that i will be making this store to be my to go for shopping. It's a small store it well worth it. I shall be returning to do all my shopping needs.

Nice family community store.. I remember meeting a nice guy there who has a great story about almost not making it and how he survived... his story was beautiful and full if light and you can tell that he belongs there because the environment has always been a great light for the community!!!Keep up the good work Guys!!!

OMG 🤗. This store is one of my favorite places to shop because they are very clean and organized and it smells really good. Management has a BAD AZZ TEAM💪🏾. This is what I like to see when I'm spending My money💳💰. GOOD JOB GUYS 😊😍!!!

Great place to shop. Good customer service. Very helpful. If they don't have it, ask. They will have it by the next deliver per your request. Above and beyond service with a smile. Love it!! Plenty of parking. Wheelchair access. Neat and clean. Fresh meat and Vegetables. Variety. All cultures..

I love this store. Its very well sorted with fruits and veggies.. and its clean and I walk with out safety issue. Not like it walmart mess everywhere. And prices are resnable... .

This place has great prices on their produce. The Niagara water is 3 cases of a 24 count of bottle water for $7 always. GREAT PRICE! Their Sure Fine brand is a good product I recommend it. You won't be disappointed

This may not be a big box store, but its worth checking it out, especially their produce department, and their daily fresh display of sweet breads. Elrods prices are usually lower than the big box stores. They are about 45 minute drive for me, so when I know that I will be in the area, I make my list, and stop by. Great Customer Service, as well

I like to buy here because I find everything witht a very good price, also organic products! I love saving money, they have quality control. The atmosphere is nice because the staff is friendly and the store is clean.

Good prices on the meat. Sandra welcome to what it feels like to us brown people almost every place we go, being asked if we need help with something after answering no more than once and the being followed lmao. Maybe if you'd share your experience with some of your friends, they'll lay off of some of our honest, hardworking people who just because are brown, get harrassed. P.S. I'm half white. But nobody identifies me with that.

Great value for your money, the crew at the store are always nice. I can get in and out of this store quick! Recommended to anyone!

This little grocery store has become my new favorite. It's clean, and unlike Aldi's (my original l pick of grocery stores)they have checkers with multiple lanes open to get you in &out quickly. (Aldi's usually has just ONE lane with a line as long as the store). Elrod's has great prices and selection of food. I've even compared some of their items and they beat Walmart with flying colors on price. Also, Elrod's is friendly and is the perfect size. Big enough to house a variety of items and small enough to whip in and grab what you need & go.

The meat is very cheap!!! I can pack my freezer for $60. I can even get a bag of chicken with 20 to 30 drumsticks for under $5. My kind of deal!!! They have chicken bologna and turkey bologna which I love!!!

Just wanted to say thank you again to Decorian for going above and beyond to get me my Red Diamond Sweet Tea. I appreciate you leaving your register, to walk all the way to the back of the store, although there were 2 store managers Standing around talking to each other. When you asked them if there were more tea in the back, they should have taken it upon themselves as managers to go and get it knowing that you were on the register helping a customer. You acted more like a manager than any of the other 3 employees at the front end who were not busy at all. Blessing to you Decorian in all your endeavors and continue to go above and beyond.

I moved out of the area about a year ago, but was in area yesterday. Akways very good deals. The employees are always very polite and helpful. I really miss being close.

Everyone says hello when you walk in. They fast getting you out. The Price's are great. I've been coming to this store since I've been a kid. I love it.
