Shop 'n Save

I’ve been buying meat and gas here for years… like probably at least 7 or 8 years… my family lives close by and they also buy meat here… up until recently this has been my favorite choice to get meat… the last two times I’ve bought chicken here (I do buy in bulk)… I’ve been super disappointed… if it’s in shelf packaging or bulk packaging… this is now the third time I’ve bought chicken and before the due date I’ve pulled it all out of the fridge to cut and package it up for freezing… I usually buy in bulk bags and get a better deal but one time they didn’t have the bulk bags so I just bought a handful of their shelf packages… it sits in my fridge for a day or two (but still well within the date pictures below)… and immediately upon opening the bag I get hit in the face with sour pungent odor ..
I’m leaving this post here today as evidence that it was done before the due date and the next time I walk into this place I’ll update this post to their response… but their closed today so no way to call and voice my frustration… generally I am very understanding and if you make it right I give lots of grace… but it’s over $100 now in chicken that I have to throw away… all because it’s packaged and labeled wrong or it’s not stored properly behind the counter but they put it out anyways and slap a label on it and call it good. I’m about to open up the beef ribeye and I have never had a problem with beef.. I love their hotdogs and again used to love everything about this place… but this is the end of me just throwing it away and hoping it’s different next time…

Asked for the pictures and was promptly provided with new chicken, technically more than in originally bought. Cut and repacked the chicken the next day and didn’t have any issues. Must have just gotten a bad batch… I appreciate how quick and simple they made the exchange even though I was at a distance and had to work through the phone originally and pictures

This place is busy, while there are only a few spots to park in the front, there is plenty of parking in the back. In addition to typical minimart/gas station items, they have great meat, an impressive wine selection and a new milkshake/smoothy maker. AND I just discovered that 'Pie in the Sky' moved in and now you can get pizza here as well. Definitely be back!!!

Amazing, kind, helpful folks. I purchased 5lbs of tenderloin, which was the best we've ever had. It made perfect sliders. They even grind up the trimmings that made for a couple of juicy cheeseburgers. I look forward to future meat purchases from this awesome butcher shop.

This place is amazing. It's totally unexpected. It's a gas station and a butcher shop in one. They have seafood, fresh cut beautiful steaks, and homemade meals. To top it off, the prices are very reasonable and the employees are very friendly and helpful.

I was so impressed by this particular business, that I didn't really feel like I could have done it the justice that it truly deserved without having the accompanying pictures to go along with my review. So I turned around today and drove right back up there and purchased 4 one inch rib eyes for the Memorial day weekend.
Let's begin with the exterior aspect of the business first. Please be careful turning in, as there are 2 gas pumps in front of the business. A little farther down is the LED sign and the mailbox. There is much more room to turn in on that end and there are 4 more gas pumps on this end.
Stepping into Shop n Save is akin to having traveled backwards in time when you are looking in one direction and then turning the other way and are confronted by the most modern conveniences that you can expect to see in a store.
I spent approximately 1hour there today and around 30 minutes yesterday. And I have got to say that, what makes it all work and pulls everything completely together...is the STAFF. Friendly, polite and professional are just a few of the nouns and adjectives that I can use to describe the staff and their interactions with each and every customer.
Did I mention that this business was absolutely immaculate, except for where I drooled on the display cases...only 1/2 kidding.
All of the homemade jams, jellies, sauces and rubs. The honey, the abundance of freshly picked fruits and vegetables.
Then you have the fantastic display cases, that are filled with seafood, pork, chicken and beef. Every single and/or special orders cut to your exact specifications. It's absolutely worth the drive. And this specific review is perfectly timed for this Memorial Day Weekend.
But please remember what Memorial is... A remembrance of all of the Veteran's, both men and women who have paid the ultimate price.

I feel like to live so close to this store. I get all my ⛽ here. I appreciate the fact he sells his gas for a fair price consistently, not dropping price a few days only to go up much more a week later. I love the meat market, steak s and fresh chicken at competitive price s.

It's been a while since I've been here and wow, what an awesome change. I'm going to blow you up with pictures but the filet mignon, sausage, cheese, butter and chicken were amazing...such a great place to shop.

I purchased 2 cases of whiting from here for a fundraiser and it was a hit. We sold out. Thank you shop n save for always having great customer service.

Nice place to shop, great fresh meat from a local farm, things such as homemade sausage n mush. They have fresh vegetables n other grocery needs. Gas usually is a fair price, sometime cheaper than others. They stay busy n I love to shop there. More of a home town local store.

The best place to get you meat at a good price friendly service

I’ve been in concord for 16 years always buy my meat locally,I search for another butcher shop decided to take a trip to stop and save because of the reviews.when I came in I told the young lady I’ve came from concord base on your reviews so don’t let me down Jokingly..all I can say I will be back.

Amazing steaks and other meats and lots of local products all crammed together with a typical gas station. It's the kind of place where the customers are regulars and everyone knows everyone by name. Super friendly staff.

Don't let the exterior fool you. Yes, this is a gas station. But if you're a meat eater, this place is a must. Best selection of beef cuts I've EVER seen. This is THE PLACE to go for steaks that will impress your guests.

Beautiful little gas station/general store!

Beautiful is not an adjective I would have been expecting to use for a gas station/general store, but it is.

Very clean, newly built or newly remodeled looking with a lovely wine section among other things.

The staff seemed like genuinely kind and friendly people I'm sure would have helped me if I'd needed it.

And, the reason we visited, THE BEST PIZZA IN NORTH CAROLINA HAS MOVED HERE! This humble pizza eater follows.

I was disappointed for them, when I heard they'd moved into a "gas station" but having seen the place, I say it looks very nice, and I'm optimistic Shop 'n Save will be a nice place for them.

Heard about this place from locals not just for a great price on fuel but they said that the market was fantastic too went into check it out while I was gassing up with no intention of buying anything and still left with flank steak skirt steak and raw oysters I will probably go three to five times a week it is everything they said it was and better. Also worth mentioning I believe is they have a vast array of seafood that is individually flash frozen as soon as it comes out of the water and I have had nothing but great experience with the quality We had some tuna that look like it was caught yesterday

Loved this store. Went in to buy pizza and walked out with stew beef and boneless chicken breast. The quality of their meat surpasses anything I purchased in a supermarket. Their steaks looked amazing. Can't wait for warm weather and grilling season to return.
