Groucho's Deli

A charming small deli sandwich shop with amazing service from the friendliest people in Statesville. A huge menu with many options you won't find anywhere else. Soups are scrumptious. We are regulars.

This is a very cool location in downtown Statesville. The location was perfect and of course the food was excellent. We parked just down the road from the restaurant and walked to the restaurant.

Groucho's Deli is definitely the place to go for a great sandwich. I am a Ruban fan, and their Ruben was probably one of the tastiest Ruben sandwiches I have eaten. They have their own sause that they make in-house that is just amazing. One of them is like a thousand island dressing but much better, and my husband had their blue cheese sause, which was amazing.

When you enter the restaurant you can choose to sit yourself. Menu's are at the table. They do have servers here, which is nice. They do charge for water $0.25. Which isn't bad. The waitress was great, and the food came out quickly. Everyone absolutely enjoyed their sandwiches. The atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. There are lots of old pictures and memorabilia on the walls to look at. We love going to places like this with so much history. It's definitely worth a stop. You do have to take your bill up to the register when you are done with your meal. Just in case you didn't hear the waitress tell you that when they drop it off. 😆 As I was waiting for the waitress to come back and my husband had told me.

If you are in Statesville in the downtown area, I would definitely put this place on your places to go eat. And afterward you can take a nice walk around the downtown area. It's beautiful with so much history.

I love this place. Definitely my new favorite spot for lunch - and the employees go above and beyond. The sandwiches and salads are always fresh and delicious… Can’t wait to try everything!

This place is pretty awesome. Very clean. The staff is awesome. The drinks are always fresh. The food is fresh. You just can’t beat this place.!! And if you want dessert, get the brownie!!

One word.. whoa! Delivery was extremely fast, the food was perfect upon arrival, and was delicious for everyone. Will definitely be going here more often.

My FIL came to visit for Christmas and we took him here to eat. His first sandwich was so good, he wanted to go back. As he is a VERY picky eater, we did. Since he returned home to Florida, he keeps telling everyone about his ham and cheese sandwich and he's trying to find an excuse to come visit again.

We have always loved Groucho's, but even more so recently since our family has tried finding Gluten-free options in town. We have a very picky eater and he loves the GF roll here! They always get our order fulfilled quickly and accurately. It's a small area for dining in, but the staff are always friendly and fast.

Decided to go here for dinner tonight and try something new. I didn't particularly like what I got, but it wasn't because of the food quality, it was just not my thing. I tried the Ruben and I'll steer clear of that from now on. The White Moose is much better! Overall though the meal was good for everyone and no one had any real complaints. Look forward to our next outing here in the future.

I got the My Wife’s Salad Bowl….. one the best chef salads I’ve had in a long time and the 95 and the 45 is amazing and house made!!

I haven’t been to Groucho’s in years. Couldn’t decide what I wanted for lunch ended up there and it has not changed. It was still just as good as the last time I ate there!

One of the best places I visited while I'm Statesville. I got the STP and was very happy. Came with chips and a Pickle

Just stumbled on this place. Just a sandwich shop. Food was really good and priced right. They have a bunch of booths along the one wall. Nice curtious staff. Will stop again if we are in the area.

We had a party of 12 willing to separated but we’re still turned down from 220 down the street due to them having 1 server , Groucho’s deli sat and served us SUPER fast and it was also delicious , loved the two girls working 2pm 9/16/23

Very nice sandwich shop. I had the Apollo and it was very good. It came with what they call 45 sauce and it was good. All in all good service and the food was good.

Love the pink moose. Best ham sandwich I've ever had. Formula 45 sauce on the side.

Really good Deli. I had an amazing Ruben and the wife said her Club was great. Would definately reccomend for a good sandwich. Staff was also super friendly.
