Smith's

Smiths was the original super Walmart. They got groceries downstairs and a department store upstairs with an escalator to keep the kids entertained.

The grocery store is stocked with the normal Kroger items and the department store has the same brands you would find at target and Walmart. Also there's a jewelry store inside as well. I don't know what that's about though.

Nice large grocery store with ample parking and a wide selection of anything you could want from a grocery store. I’d recommend coming here for all of your basic needs at a good price. The pharmacy is nice and there is no line at checkout so that is good. This is my go to smiths

Pick up is so nice at this location. I wish management would hire more employees so they aren’t so swamped. I think pay must be an issue here because they seem to have a high turnover

Quick and easy place to get your groceries. Loved the offers and the easy setup process for the rewards card. The customer service here is excellent. Very welcoming staff here

Always have the things you need. No complaints. It's a decent grocery store with a nice department store feel upstairs.

This location can be hectic in the late afternoon and evening.
Around 8-9 AM I see 👀 🤔 its much more relaxed.

I am a neighbour and frequent customer of Smith's Marketplace downtown. Several times a week, sometimes each day- I come to have an uplifting experience.

Gretchen is one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I would consider her a friend of mine- and humanity and I'll explain hereafter.

Gretchen is not only a skilled, helpful, environmentally conscious Chef- but an incredible human being. She has always taken the time to ask how I'm doing, being a frequent customer, but sincerely cares that I'm doing well!

She is an inspiration to me, to practice these principles in my profession - and encourages me to be the best leader, son and human I can be.

Though our conversations are short, I never leave without a contagious sense of gratitude and care- that I have experienced at no other deli.

I truly hope that her efforts are not only recognized- but rewarded for her dedication, teamwork, empathy, service and compassion.

Truck and trailer docks are on the 500 S st side.Back into the dock door closest to the back door. Just call the store to let them know that your back their so they can send someone to open the back door.👍

My cashier, Araxan, was so kind, helpful, charming and impressive that I rushed home to leave this review. He personally helped me find my little brothers favorite candy that I didn’t even know smiths had. He was warm and friendly and made my shopping experience the best I’ve had at Kroger. Whatever this employee is getting paid, it’s not enough. Most others in that store seem tired and unwilling to assist, but he went out of his way for me, a random customer.

Tonight was a significant one in my personal life, and a particular employee made everything more doable in a way I didn’t know possible. For me, Maria was more than just a good customer service representative. Tonight, I ventured out for the first time in three days since attempting to take my own life, and not succeeding. Not only that, but in getting sober and trying to come to terms with being sober. After sitting in my car paralyzed by anxiety for 30 minutes I went inside, with the intention of getting the minimum of what my household needed for food and necessities. After a brief exchange with Maria, and with her help and kind words in addition to helping me believe I can save a few plants that were on their way out- I was able to conquer my entire shopping list of items.

While this may seem small to some, and a few years ago I may have been one to not look too close at such a review- but the difference this woman made in my life tonight by being kind, instead of annoyed, made all the difference for more than one human in our community. 🧡💗💚💜

I go to Smith's to get something to eat on my way to America First Credit , I wish they had a Smith's closer to 900 South and 200 West , in Salt Lake City

Great store - they have a great selection - its open til midnight everyday - give it a shot 👍🏻

The variety the people that work there and just the whole vibe of the place because you can get everything when you go there but I try not to go much of anywheres else

I came in the other day & got amazing customer service by a gentleman, who's name i didn't catch unfortunately, but he helped out with mosquito repellent & was very informative with how to use the product & to prevent them from coming in my house. I appreciated all the help he provided.

Large grocery store, 1st floor has your standard grocery/pharmacy, upstairs has clothes, toys, electronics, hardware, housewares, garden, paint, etc - basically upstairs has anything you might need in a pinch!

Organic selection a little limited, as is seafood/meat, but for most everything, they are great.

Great experience. Very friendly people working for them!!! Competitive prices!!

This is my local store. It is much cheaper compared to Harmons

Good place to get the essentials! Smith's has a great selection of everyday food items. Their in-house brand "Private Selection" is really tasty and at excellent prices.

Anastasia in the balloon/flower department was very kind and helpful. I appreciate her thoughtfulness and her customer service. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!
