Plaid Pantry

Had a long conversation with Cyrene, and such a wonderful time! They’re absolutely wonderful, and I’m so grateful to them for guiding my experience there. Could not recommend this establishment enough!

Its Plaid Pantry not a 5 star dining restaurant. It serves its purpose and that's the best you can expect.

This is my store at night my favorite place to visit my friend who works there in graveyard but he's always alone and people like to take advantage and still and threaten him blessing all kinds of things happen at this time of night I take him to work and help him get home. Do the best you can with what you got the store doesn't have everything all the time sometime but all in all that's a great store for the neighborhood. So if you need a late late night snack come on in you're welcome Rob welcome to you and I sure welcome two thumbs up peace I'm out.

Every time I go to this location and see that Jason is working, I'm so delighted. He is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and has created a welcoming and warm presence at this store. Plaid is lucky to have him as a worker.

Been here since I was young, the staff that works there isn't grumpy or mean, he sounds like that ever since I go there, and even when I is having a good or fun say he always sounds down, I don't know why, but I think the guy who works there is what makes that Plad Pantry the best one, and he deserves love, and shouldn't be shunned because people judge a book by it's covor.

The Sellwood Plaid is the hub of neighborhood commerce.

Seems like a nice place to me

I love shopping at this Plaid Pantry, but they need to do a better job of managing garbage. The sidewalk near the dumpster and the parking lot are often littered with trash. I know because I frequently clean it. This store probably generates more litter than any business in the neighborhood. The store needs to 1) add an additional garbage pail out front, 2) clean litter from the parking lot daily, and 3) configure the dumpster area to discourage customers from stuffing trash through the chain-link fence.

Used to be convenient. Now, must trade ID for key to coolers. Apparently staff have "no other way" to stop shoplifting. Whatever. Opening and closing fussy locks, waiting in line for one person at a time to do so -- forget it. Lot of other places to buy beer.

I was insulted, humiliated and extremely discriminated against publicly by the worker Manah. My friend and I had found ourselves lost and stranded in sellwood on a fall morning. Having a friend driving to save us we chose the plaid pantry as the best landmark to give and wait for them. While waiting I was telling my friend of a nightmare night I had in downtown weeks prior. A customer overheard my telling of looking for a place to sleep and asked if I needed breakfast. I politely thanked him and declined, knowing his good intention and mis-interpreted part of conversation heard. We had been sitting in the parking lot in front of the closed beauty parlor near an hour. Another man with a bike and trailer was in front of their store and nodding off sleeping in the little trailer attached to his bmx bike. In comparison, we/I was not dirty, or greasy in appearance. Both with clean clothes and nice shoes on. A worker from plaid pantry came out of the store and walked as to her vehicle. She looked our direction and i said good morning. She stopped and immediately said that "I" wasn't allowed to be sitting outside in their parking lot. My friend informed her of our ride coming and expecting us there, and the lady points her finger at me and said"that's fine, but you need to go. You are not allowed to be here on the property!" I immediately became her hate target, and harassed and discriminated falsely with unbelievable disrespect and un-professionalism as vagrant. Even repeatedly trying to explain she was mis informed and wrong about the situation I had no value as a humane individual. Very luckily our ride arrived and we left, but not before informing her of such mistreatment being illega1and 2 wrong. She immediately got enraged and on the phone to the police. While another employee was over consoling the other guy to basically inform him he wasn't the ntended target and letting him stay. I will be putting in numerous complaints and consulting legal council until I am satisfied justice is upheld for my degradation. Even if I had been a vagrant bum, she had no right, and I was not in front of her place of work! I highly ptotest and ban this location. I have never been treated, or heard of such treatment from a convenient store clerk! Thanks for your time in reading my venting statement.
