Dollar General

No one goes to Dollar General store for the finery and luxury. It's a convenient store when I don't feel like going to the bigger stores that are further away. Be understanding there's a shortage in workers who don't want to do certain jobs. You'll have to work in digging through isles and shelves for your items. There's usually only 1 staff member working at the store by themselves, so they can't always greet every single customer that walks in nor can they organize an entire store alone while having to operate the check out register. I went to the store today, and the store was cleaner and more organized than I've seen it before in the years I've lived in Hutto. The only employee was Amanda (aka Mandy), and she was incredibly nice and very engaging with the customers. And she was really fast/efficient at the check out register. I've never seen that before. I hope management treats her well. I didn't have a coupon at check out, and she was kind enough to use a $5 coupon that I'm guessing was left behind by another customer. I really appreciated that. I really hope the company keeps Mandy at that store. She was a joy.

Had what we were looking for & accommodated our request re: filling our special birthday balloons with helium.
We’ll be back to this location because of the positive interactions with the employees.

I liked going here because I was able to find what I was looking for and the place was well organized and the last staff was really nice.

The floor sales associates where very helpful. I found what I was looking for within a instance, and the customer service was very nice and helpful

Clean store

It's not a clean store, and they always have stuff in the walkways that is sometimes hard to walk through with a rolling cart, but I go there for convenience. If I need a dozen eggs or super glue or snacks, I drop in at Dollar General. It's easier than going to HEB for quick small stuff.

Just wish they would get my cookies back!!!

This DG may not be perfect, but it beats the hell out of the one on Front Street!!! That one is the nastiest, filthiest, unorganized DG I’ve ever been in….and it smells BAD! The Manager is totally rude & has no idea what’s she’s doing. Once this one on Chris Kelly opened, I’ve never gone back to the one on Front St.!

Good place to run and get a few items if you don't want to make the trip to Walmart. Isles are small and the checkout process is slow. The bags are way to thin. I mean 3 light items at the most per bag or you will be picking up items off the floor once the bag rips while getting it out of your trunk. Just always seems like they're behind on stocking the shelves. There are always boxes of some sort in the Isles at every Dollar General I go to. Maybe it's time to hire some night stockers so there won't be obstacles in the Isles that the customers have to try to get around. The employees that are there need to be at the registers not in an isle stocking shelves. No fun getting in line and waiting and waiting and waiting for an employee to come up and check to see if anyone is needing to be checked out. There should always be at least 1 employee at the register at all times. And able to call for help if their line is more then 3 people deep.

This seemed like it was going to be a great store but they never have anything in stock and the store is always full of boxes it’s become a joke!

This store used to be nice when it first opened. Now it's like other DGs. Aisles are always obstructed by stocking carts, and shelves are always empty.

This store is an absolute failure. Dirty top to bottom, never any room to navigate the isles due to inventory just piled up everywhere and not being stocked. Internet seems to always be down so it’s cash only. The employees like to listen to gross trap music with foul language all the time. When there is a problem the employees never know what to do or just don’t care. Take your business to another company that actually cares.

Never heard of a Self Checkout scanner only being able to scan certain items in the store. Pushed the Help button and no one acknowledged and was about to be walked right by. Too much time for 4 items and half wouldn’t scan. She said I would have to get in the other line after waiting 20minutes for help in self checkout. They need to dismantle that machine or mark the items that are not eligible for self checkout, like Hangers.

Store is dirty top to bottom nothing is ever put up in shelves its blocking isles one certain sales guy at night is really creepy and stalker ish towards women I would rather take the extra drive to other location on front st. Way better Store and sales people working there

I go to the DG on Chris Kelly and the Georgetown location. Employees get 5 stars. The CEO, CFO and the other bigwigs sitting in their Ivory Tower get ZERO-NADA stars. I view the multitude of issues as upper UPPER management's failures. MAKE SURE YOUR RECEIPT REFLECTS THE SHELF PRICE...DG'S BIGGEST PROBLEM.

Something is always broke, the shelves are always half empty and the employees refuse to work the cash register so they force you to use the self checkout. I was excited when they built this one but this place is trash.

A sign on the door says closed until further notice. Hmmm, I wonder if the plastic chairs, the charcoal, and the lighter fluid outside on the walk are free??
