Lisa Rae's Resturant and General Store

This place is an adorable little operation. The location is perfect for campers and those about to hit the river for the day and need to get a few supplies. If you have time to get some food then you will be happy with your choice. These are fresh-made dishes from real ingredients, not some cheap bar and grill food. On Saturday afternoons you can hear live music from locals who sit around and jam, and not just Saturdays... music could break out at any moment :) There's nothing like Lisa Rae's for miles around!

Took a motorcycle ride from the Dayton area along some country roads to get to Chilo. Stopped at Lisa Rae's for lunch. Being quite hungry, the quesadilla was ordered for an appetizer, followed by bacon cheeseburgers. with potato wedges. We had plain and cheese/bacon covered wedges. Food is art and art is opinionated so we just thought the burger needed more of a smash down to fit the bun. It did not detract from the taste at all. To top off our gluttony, a piece of apple pie capped the meal. Friends had looked up Lisa Rae's before our ride and requested we bring back some banana chocolate chip cookies and oreo cheesecake bites so we packed some of those to go. They were equally delicious.
My understanding is the establishment is under recently new management/ownership which were very friendly, talkative, and helpful. We learned a lot about the local goings on, fishing and camping opportunities. Conveniently enough, Lisa Rae's is also a small general store stocked with multiple beer choices and ice. Night crawlers and grubs for fishing baits are available.
The experience was very nice and another motorcycle ride will be in the works.
