The traditionally fermented sourdough bread here is amazing in all its forms (loaves, baguettes, etc.), and the variety of salads, sandwiches, and other food is unique and incredible as well. Also enjoyed having a hot tea and sitting with our meal in the bookstore area - wish I lived locally so I could visit regularly!

Lucy’s has the interesting things you can’t get at the big stores, specialty cheese, fresh artisan bread, and a great bet!

I loved every second of my trip to Alaska, and this is one of the places that added to my time there. It reminded me of a little deli, mixed in with a bookstore. We had the clam chowder, the sandwich of the day, and I purchased several breakfast cookies to bring back to Texas.

The clam chowder was exceptional, it was so fresh and full of seafood. The pesto sandwich was delicious, and the leftovers were even better. The breakfast cookies are also sold at a local coffee shop, I had one every morning with my tea. Yeah, they're that delicious and they're vegan!

If you live or are visiting that area, this is one you want to add to your list. Make sure you check out their hours, this is something you'll want to do during the daytime hours.

I really try not to give five stars, you have nothing to work towards. I'd call it a 4.75. Great service, knowledge base of staff is surprisingly sharp, and the whole place improved when it moved to this location. Good selection of food and deli items, regardless of diet limits. Even if you can eat anything, you will like it here. From a city planner's perspective, gotta give the owner a ton of credit - from the building design to the lighting, site layout and tree retention, it made me very happy. OK, so you do get 5 stars. These people just don't mess up. They live here and aren't going anywhere. Thank goodness.

Glad we asked for recommendations about places to stop on the way to Anchorage. Superb food and the bookstore was a bonus.

This is by far the best lunch on the peninsula! Grab a rustic loaf and some artisanal cheese for a Parisian style picnic or try one of their hot meals or packaged lunches. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed!! So grateful to have this wonderful market in town!

Friendly employees, as someone with food allergies it’s nice to find a place where you can find delicious food without having to constantly ask if it’s gluten-free. Would highly recommend this cute cafe.

In the words of my five year old daughter, "Best cookies ever!" I appreciate all the gluten-free options and the variety of snacks on the lunch plate is hard to beat!

Great selection of cheese and specialty items. Best hummus I've ever tasted. While you're there, grab a pour over from Declination roasting. Hollis does it right.
