I stayed here on the night of 06/08. It turned out the room was well kept and twice as spacious as any other on my seven-night trip. The room and bath room are clean and the bed is comfortable. No dilapidated equipment. The inside of the bath tub is somewhat slippery. The breakfast is simple, but it at least is hot breakfast including sausage and scrambled eggs. For some reason for the seven mornings of the trip, breakfast all included, I was able to taste sausage or scrambled egg in only one other. I asked for a quite room and I got one. It was a better experience than some other properties with higher Google review scores in the same trip.

My wife and I had three very good days at the Best Western King Salmon Inn. The room was spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. Nice microwave and refrigerator in the room and excellent internet... The only negative was the first impression of the lobby. It is very small and run down. Time for an update. Great staff all around. We would stay here again.

They out did themselves at this Best Western. Their breakfast puts all other BW breakfasts to shame. Rob did an amazing job with the breakfast he deserves a raise.

Very satisfied with the service we received here. Our room was very clean but a little warm when we arrived. When we told them about it at the front desk they apologized and brought a fan to the room. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was served in the restaurant which sits beside the hotel. It was buffet style and was very good. We enjoyed our stay here!

South Central Alaska and Kenai Peninsula got hit with the most snow and blowing winds in over 20 years , other businesses were closed yet Best Western stayed open. Conveniently located within a short walking distance to the hospital. They accommodated special needs for checking in early and when the car got stuck in the snow the young clerk behind the desk didn't hesitate pushing my vehicle . Facility a little dated however rooms were clean and comfortable, staff very accommodating. Complimentary breakfast was included.

So far....staff at front desk beyond incredible. Super friendly and nice. Rooms are very spacious. We've stayed in a few other places here in Soldotna, but so far...this definitely wins hands down. It's also across the street from Joanns (fabric and yarn store) and the dog park is right behind that. Don't normally leave reviews, but just blown away.

I have stayed at Best Western King Salmon previously and it was a great place - the staff was very friendly and helpful, services were great, room was clean and ready. I booked several room for this weekend because my daughter is a member of the Bartlett Hockey team and there was a tournament in Homer, Kenai and Soldotna this weekend. When setting up arrangements, the hotel desk clerk was on top of things, got me 2 rooms side by side and was great! She was exceptional!
Then, the trip was cancelled due to weather - less than 24 hours before check-in. I called, the desk clerk answered in a completely friendly and professional way, requesting to call me back as she had a customer in front of her. That was fine. I received a call back quickly and explained what had happened and that I needed to cancel my rooms, fully expecting to pay for the rooms because it was inside the 24-hour cancellation policy. The lady asked me if the rooms were booked for the hockey tournament, which I confirmed was the case. She immediately told me that they’ve had mass cancellations due to that very reason and that even though I was inside the 24-hours, she would cancel the reservations free of charge as it wasn’t a situation that I could control. I was flabbergasted. In the world these days with companies trying to recoup profits after the last several years of Covid, Best Western and their employees going that extra mile to ensure their customers aren’t affected by something outside their control was just mind blowing. All the desk clerk requested was that if we needed a hotel in Soldotna again, to please give them a call.
You’d better believe it! With customer service like that, I won’t stay anywhere else!
Great Job!!

I paid on priceline 10 minutes before check-in as a last minute purchase. Check-in was quick and the staff was very friendly. The room was HUGE we got a 2 bed room and it had alot of room to spread out stuff. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I liked that they had a toiletry dispensor in the shower insead of individual bottles. The complimentary breakfast was at the adjacent restaurant on property and it was very delicious. 11 out of 10, would recommend.

Came to stay for a week long working vacation with my dad in Soldotna. This hotel has great sized rooms, is clean and well kept despite it being an older hotel. The included breakfast next door at the King Salmon restaurant was excellent and despite being a limited menu for hotel guests, we didn't find that to be an issue at all. Overall the breakfast was easily better than most free continentals at comparable hotels. Location is excellent and staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to the entire Kenai Peninsula for day trips in a rental car while still being in town for access to all the restaurants in town.

Great stay! It appeared that we had a recently updated room with fun "Alaska" decor. We were delighted with the carpet and chair featuring a salmon and fishing theme. The room was huge compared to other hotels and had a microwave, refrigerator, and a nice table and chairs. Beds were very comfy. In the morning, we met Desiree at the front desk who was so nice and welcoming and gave us many tips about things to do in both Soldatna and Homer. We shared details about our lives in NYC and she about hers in Alaska. We had come from a long drive and it was nice to stop here instead of going all the way to Homer. The drive to Homer from Soldatna was worth waiting until morning, it was gorgeous. There was a grab and go breakfast with fresh coffee and egg sandwiches, amongst other items. Thanks for a nice stay!

The quality of this hotel is definitely worth the price. We had another hotel booked in town, but I am so glad we kept checking for a vacancy here.
The check-in process was smooth and welcoming. The room was so clean, spacious and comfortable. Initially we stayed in room 200 which was huge! We added another night (the fish were running) and the standard room was still plenty big. They held our luggage during the day of the switchover.
It was nice having a frig, coffee maker and microwave available. There were even a couple little chip bags to snack on. The room was kept very clean and the service staff was very friendly.
The breakfast allowance for the restaurant next door was generous. Service was friendly and the food was good.

They were doing some construction on the outside, but they didn't start until about 9 and were considerate when guests were in the area.
This was a very good experience and we caught plenty of fish!

Huge rooms one first floor. Make sure you request ground floor if you dont want to carry your luggage upstairs.

I flew into Saldotna for medical tests. The hospital is 2-3 mins away. Perfect location from this great hotel to there. Jasmine and Daniel at the desk were superb. Rooms spotless, beds extremely comfortable. Free breakfast next store courtesy of the hotel. Italian restaurant 2 blocks down is well priced! Thank You for such wonderful digs!

I enjoyed my stay at the King Salmon Inn. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional and very accommodating. And they still have the adjacent restaurant that serves a very nice continental breakfast for the guests. Thank you for everything.

Was pleased with the size of the room with 2 queen beds. No elevator but easy stairway. Breakfast next door was great with large portions and plenty of options.

The room was nice and big, with very comfortable beds. The air conditioner was a welcome luxury as it was quite warm during our stay. The breakfast was also good.
