I’ve only shopped here once but what a cool fun store! You literally want to buy everything in here lol! Definitely recommend to shop here if you’re looking for a present or just something to treat yourself. I can’t wait to return.

Stumbled upon this shop during a recent trip to Chicago, and found it absolutely delightful! Unique gifts (for self or others 😌) in a pleasant space with friendly staff. There were hundreds of items that caught my eye, but I did my best to only leave with three of them. Would absolutely consider ordering from their online shop as well, given what a great experience I had in person. Will be making this a regular stop during future visits to Chicago!

We visited here on Sunday, March 6th and the shopkeeper was so joyful and made our experience great. We got some cute stickers and house accessories, this seems like a great place to get for a friend or yourself!

I love this little store so much. I always find the perfect, unique gifts for all occasions. I’m obsessed with the jewelry and found the coolest print for my wall during my last trip! Def a true gem of Humbolt Park ❤

Always full of cute niche things - great place for candles, cards, textiles, coffee table books. A little pricey but the items are handmade / from a small business / (mostly) ethical. Also, the employees are lovely and always so helpful. Great vibes all around.

If you love shopping small, having a variety of colorful/unique selections paired with amazing customer service this shop is for you. If I could give Humboldt House 10 stars, I would. They have a tasteful selection of items starting from kitchen and ranging all the way to jewelry and socks. A unique blend of authenticity and eclectic vibes will be sure to please you each time you shop! Their customer service is superb. I recently moved out of Chicago and needed some pieces to warm my soul. I placed an order before 5pm and received it THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY. They know how to keep their customers coming back.

Stopped in to find a last-minute birthday gift and was so overwhelmed (in a good way) by the variety of home decor, accessories, and kitchen goods they had available! The place was a lot bigger than expected and everything was so well curated. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful!

One of the stores you can spend hours in without realizing it! Everything is aesthetically pleasing and there are plenty of goods that support local artists. Great for gifts -- both for yourself or for a friend :-) Staff is incredible, too.

Moving to Chicago I was looking for those stores that made me feel welcome, find some new house decorations and gifts. When I went to Himboldt House, I found that and more! They are welcoming & incredibly careful around COVID ensuring a safe experience. They have curated the best products and I always enjoy stopping in to see the new finds.

Hip, boho modern aesthetic; always bright and sunny inside making it one of my favorite shops to visit year-round; offers an eclectic, elegant, and trendy array of highly curated, handmade items for the home (i.e.: ceramics, candles, incense, etc.), self-care (soaps), personal reflection (stones, sage bundles...) and adornment (jewelry, hair stuff, etc.); everything is organized and displayed beautifully; good place to find thoughtful, uniquely-made treasures; prices are reasonably higher since you are supporting local women artisans, crafters, etc; they always have friendly, sweet staff who are knowledgeable about the artisans who they work with and fun to chat with; oh, and bonus points for the couch + coffee table set-up in the middle to sit for a sec! 😉👍

Absolutely love this place. I could spend every last dollar of my salary between here and the plant store next door. So many unique, handmade, wonderful items.
