The Refilleri

Excellent zero waste store! When I moved to the neighborhood, I was very excited to have plastic-free and reusable options for soaps, detergents, personal care products like deodorant and dental products, kitchen goods, bulk foods, and even gift wrapping supplies. My favorite items have been the dryer balls--I never have to buy those dryer sheets again!-- and the various options for shampoo and body wash.

They also have drop-off bins for hard-to-recycle items through Terracycle and EcoShip.

I made my way into Refilleri as a first-time visitor to a "zero-waste" shop, wanting to lessen my impact on the planet in whatever way I can... I was immediately welcomed and taken on a tour of the shop, with the very patient shop owner answering all of my many questions. I brought my own container for olive oil, borrowed a glass container for body wash, and then purchased some AMAZING smelling shower steamers. Quite frankly, never having been to a zero waste store, I was nervous for how pricey it was all going to be- ended up to be just below $20! Refilleri will absolutely be my new go-to for household products!

So nice to have this refill station here. So smart and cost effective bc you aren’t paying for packaging. If I could give 10 stars I would. Please support our local changemakers as they help our community thrive.

I'm really excited that an eco-friendly shop moved into the neighborhood! After a few visits and time to try the products, we feel that the prices are very reasonable for high-quality environmentally-friendly items! I also keep trying new things which is ok because each item is helping me use less waste. I could do much more, but I'm taking little steps thanks to the Refilleri!

Kelli, the owner of The Refilleri, is not only very kind, but clearly cares about the environment and her local community. The products are some of my favorite and the prices are more than reasonable. We are excited to keep coming back, because every time we do, there are new products!

Such an inviting store with great products!! Every time I walk in, there’s something new. I am so glad a store like this has opened. The Refilleri has really helped me on my zero waste journey.

Lovely shop

Excellent new, practical and well-stocked low-waste and bulk shop! I stopped in last week for the first time after reading about their opening in Block Club Chicago.

I picked up some biodegradable dog poop bags, natural toilet cleaner and dozens of dishwasher pods and only spent about $20. They also carry bulk, local-to-Chicago coffee, household cleaning and organizing products, toothpaste tabs, eco-friendly pet items and much more.

This store is very affordable and great for families or households looking to reduce their waste. The staff, including the owner herself, are incredibly friendly and open to suggestions on product recommendations.

Highly recommend supporting them over big box chains and Amazon!

Really disappointed in this shop. The owner doesn’t even live in Humboldt Park; they live in Roscoe Village. The shop is clearly not geared towards the actual needs of the community. Hopefully they’ll prove themselves to be a good addition to the neighborhood, but doubtful based on their products.
