Cheese Shoppe

So I came across the cutest shop on IG @cheeseshoppegp and I saw they were close to home in Grosse Point Woods so I decided to stop in. First of all it's the cutest spot, perfect location. But walking in I was greeted with all smiles, and the place was pretty busy. Since it was my 1st time there, they took time to tell me about the cheese(which I sampled), charcuterie and specials. I was so excited. So I figured why not try a few things. So for special today they had This Ricotta and herbs grilled cheese it was so good just a hint of kick to it. But then I tried their cheddar and jam grilled cheese OMG so good, I even tried a little of their jalapeño raspberry jam on the grilled cheese, amazing. I didn't know what to expect with the jam but it's a must have. Cheesy goodness with a little sweet with the jam. They also have the ham and Swiss roll, it's just right for a afternoon snack, the roll was moist and buttery I loved it. Of courseI had to throw in some cookies. Sea salt chocolate chip are so delicious, moist, soft. And then the raspberry cookie with almonds. OMG they were absolutely delicious. And of course I had to take home some their cheese I mean it is called the @cheeseshoppegp well I want to say thank you for my first experience. U guys are so nice and friendly, I will definitely be back. You have to check them out. The owners are so sweet, and friendly. Thank you again.

Wonderful little shop with a huge ammount of cheese! Please leave your John Cleece at home as it jas been done...trust me...er.. i did it lol. But seriously if cheeses is what you pleases then this is the place to be! Try something new ...now.. today.. Go! Try a new thing.. cheese in this case. they also have killer cookies(chocolate chip).. and sandwiches! lots of new flavors to go around. :)

I ordered a large box for an event I had at my salon. The charcuterie board was full of quality, colorful, and delicious pieces. It exceeded my expectations and I’ll definitely be ordering in the future.

Love this place! Try the Drunken Goat cheese! Every time I come in I always try new things, and they are all fabulous.

The shoppe is beautiful. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly The fresh baked food is delicious. Unique gift ideas also. High recommend this gem of a shop.

An excellent customer experience. They have a rotating stock of excellently chosen cheeses, which are cut to order fresh from the wheel. The staff is knowledgeable and assisted me in getting an excellent fondue blend along with a few selections for a cheese board to entertain guests.

It was nice too, to sample shavings to know what I was getting before taking the plunge on a cheese. Would definitely recommend this over Kroger when shopping for an amazing cheese experience.

The is a regular stop for my family, about every two weeks as we need to stock up on our cheese. The selection is fantastic, price great, staff superb. I will tell you of my 1st experience. Soon after Christmas my wife surprised me with a visit, with our children in tow. First I thought my kids, cheese lovers that they are, would be very demanding of samples so I was nervous, but the staff graciously provided tastes to everyone. Though this shop is small, it doesn't need to be larger as it is wonderfully cozy, several customers were in there at the time and each was given "good old fashioned, " service, and the staffs knowledge was so expansive that your purchase of goods is tailored to your individual and families tastes. I'm and ordinary guy, this staff is not pretentious considering their fine goods and products. We bought 5 wedges of various cheese, I estimated the bill to be at least $80 -$90 as from the samples I knew that they had high quality cheese and goods. Imagine my astonishment when my total bill was a little over $45. I can not say enough great things about this store, I always look forward to my next visit, for it is always such a pleasure.

P.S. I was planning a New Years Eve get to together and even changed our menu for that night based on the wonderful cheeses we had purchased. What a place!

This is the cutest store with great staff! Not only do they have everything you’d need to make a charcuterie board (cheese, crackers, olives, nuts, jams, etc.) but they also have freshly made soup, cookies, bars and breads. Everyday there’s a grilled cheese of the day, but they’ll make whatever combo you’d like. My favorites are the havarti and roasted onion jam (tastes like French onion soup) or cheddar and raspberry jam. I’m doing them a disservice by calling those cheeses “cheddar” and “havarti” because they are not your average plastic wrapped grocery store cheeses. Ask for some samples of any of their cheese!

Fantastic cheese shop and other gourmet food store. Constantly rotating selection of fine cheeses and meats. Absolutely amazing grilled cheeses that change daily, grab and go or custom charcuterie boards, a small selection of delicious baked goods, and a lot of absolutely adorable kitchen and dining items. A little on the pricey side, but between the quality of the products and the location that's to be expected.

I had not yet been in this store but had heard wonderful things. I called and ordered a charcuterie board for a baptism. When I got to the store to pick it up, I was greeted with smiles and warm welcomes from the staff. I didn't have much time to linger, but the store was very cute and had a wide selection of cheeses as well as other items.

The charcuterie board was amazing! All of the items were fantastic and paired well with each other. Considering how large the board was and all of the items packed on it, the price was more than fair. I will definitely be going to check out the homemade grilled cheese and the rest of the store!

A truly beautiful little store. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. The store has so many cute gifts and a wonderful selection of things to jazz up any charcuterie board. The cheeses I tried were amazing. Be sure to try the fresh baked goods. The meat hand pies and raspberry almond bars are delicious. I will be back to try the rest of the offerings and of course get some more cheese!

It took me some time to come here because I usually make my own cheese boards. I have to say though, this shop really showed the value of professionals. They did it better than I would and they have won me over for my future cheese boards needs. The baked bread with mortadella was very good. The kids loved that and the cookies. The shop is very cute and everyone was friendly.

Fantastic combination of a knowledgeable and friendly staff as well as a wonderful selection of cheese and goods. I have visited several times and each trip is fun and rewarding. My young daughter likes to say “Cheese shoppe cheese?” during snack time now. And I can confirm that the baked goods make for an excellent savory treat. We are so lucky to have this store in our Grosse pointe neighborhood, and I recommend a visit to anyone in the area.

I love this store. The owners are super friendly and they’ve got a huge array of delicious cheeses. They also have these amazing cookie bars that I can’t get out of my mind. Chewy, buttery, and dipped in chocolate, they’re my new favorite dessert.

Beautiful little shop that’s owned by some amazing, friendly people. Came in for the Cotswold, which is creamy and savory. My sister bought the sheep’s milk cheese. The homemade bread is delicious. They have a nice selection of preserves, crackers and everything you desire to build a charcuterie or they will build one for you.

I finally made it into this shop yesterday and it was exactly what I expected; a little slice of heaven! We met one of the owners and her husband who were so friendly and knowledgeable. They offered us samples, both of what we wanted to try and their favorites. The shop itself is adorable, they offer everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that you would need to build your own charcuterie board to little kitchen trinkets. They also carried handmade goods from local artists along with their business cards; I love the support for other small businesses. I will say, the only bad thing about this place is that it’s at the corner of my street, take all my money 😆 I will definitely be a regular. Oh, and do try the baked goods 🤤 forgive me, because the name of what the owner gave us escapes me, but it’s one of her signature pastries and it was to die for! Delicious gourmet treats at an excellent price.
Let me cut to the chase: I’m so obsessed with cheese I used to drive 45 minutes each way to Zingermans. Now that the Cheese Shoppe has opened I can save myself the trip! This cozy neighborhood storefront provides a HUGE selection of gourmet cheeses at a very appealing price. They have a lot of harder to find cheeses like funky creamy European blues and a wonderful truffle-y California brie Ive never even heard of. I walked out with five large portions of assorted cheese, three sausage rolls, and two boxes of crackers for around $55. More than fair considering most of my cheese were imported and hard to find. Keep up the great work and looking forward to returning.

Finally made it in to Cheese Shoppe and it is just fabulous!! Customer service was incredible! The cheese I got was so delicious and the baked goods to die for!! I’m so excited to have such a wonderful spot so nearby and will definitely be heading there regularly! I highly recommend checking it out!

Actually told the staff that cheese is my favorite food and how sad I was to learn that I was lactose intolerant and the owner said no problem. Here is a taste of honey goat cheese. Then because it was closing they asked if I wanted to buy the special cookie package that was still on the counter. Guys I can’t explain what they taste like. Circles of berry surrounded by coconut almond comes to mind. Ok so I was hooked as a lactose consumer and now double hooked as a lactose intolerant consumer. These people are amazing.
