Westlake Ace Hardware

I have been a loyal customer of Westlake Ace Hardware in Gladstone for years. They have everything I need for my home improvement projects, from tools and paint to lawn and garden supplies. They also have a great selection of gifts and decor items. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to assist me with any questions or problems I have. They are knowledgeable and professional, and they make me feel like a valued customer. These are good people who are always willing to help. This is the best hardware store in KC, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs quality products and service.

I like that it isn’t a big box hardware store and still has the local neighborhood feel. The service I have received has always been great and folks are there to help and are friendly. I won’t talk about prices as just about everything is cheaper online, but I will attest the value that I have received for my purchases was always fair.

Having knowledgeable, friendly people that can help you when deciding between items or providing info on things you simply cannot quickly get to online is invaluable. This store does provide that.

It’s right next door to the DMV and is a great place to window shop or pickup items while you wait.

The store is pretty crammed as they have a lot in their footprint, but it isn’t overly space constrained to where you’d feel claustrophobic.

Went for a key copy and it was cheaper than the Walmart machine and got it done super fast!

Friendly knowledgeable staff and hazel free returns. Yes there are less expensive places to purchase a lot of the items they have, but sometimes you need it now and if you have to match a broken part, who wants to have to keep sending the wrong part back through the mail.

A little more expensive than most other places. Consistent employees and often have that part or piece you’re unable to find in the less expensive places combined with the helpful service that higher price becomes a savings by getting what you need the first time in addition to advice about their products. Their jingle from the 80s 80s and 00s is no mistake; Ace is the place with the helpful hardware (man) !!

I needed help with a lawn mower blade. Cody was so nice and very helpful from our first conversation on the phone to helping me unload it. I picked it up the next day and Brian helped me load it into my vehicle. They were so friendly! It was just refreshing!!!

What a great store. Everyone working here is helpful and friendly. Think this will replace my big box store habit as much as possible. Also had cheap Christmas trees

I like that I always feel like a regular customer when I shop here. Everyone is always very friendly and most of the time greets every customer when they walk in the door. Understandably, they don't have the selection of giant stores, but I would rather drive a little bit out of my way to shop here first. 9 times out of 10 I don't have to go anyplace else.

I work closely with the Westlake franchise and have to travel from store to store. This location is by far the cleanest, has the best selection of merchandise and is always well staffed, with friendly faces that are eager to help. Thanks, Becky for the always having a friendly face (your smiles are contagious, and Jason for running such a smooth show!!

I bought a replacement air filter for our furnace, it is an odd size, but they had it on hand, and I think a competitive price compared to Amazon.

Sometimes its nice to get away from the big box chain stores and hit a hometown hero. I can always count on Westlake Ace to have what I need. Its always easy to find and the staff are always friendly and they actually care and are very helpful when you need it. I like the hometown old school feel of shopping in an actual hardware store.

I went in here looking for a seed starter set out of season and sure enough they had it in stock. I had to have an employee help me find it and she was the nicest lady took me right to it and exactly where it was all in all it was a great experience
