Can't say enough good about the 3 ladies that helped me today at the store in Brooklyn ...I was trying to order , I couldn't figure it out . But they helped me and stuck with it until it was ordered... which took some time but they never gave up...
Thank you... I wish I knew their names but I think two of them were managers and one was a cashier.
This is one of my favorite stores to go to thank you for having workers that care....

Ocean State Job Lot of Brooklyn is my go to store. I've found so many amazing deals and great items in that store. Today Susan and Debbie saved the day after my frustration dealing with another store. The Brooklyn store has the most helpful employees and I highly recommend the store. I tell everyone to stop in at Brooklyn.

Don't let the great prices fool you, everything is great quality.
For anyone European you will find food treats (with different names) you would have to pay higher prices for in supermarkets. For everyone there's so many different treats you can continue to bring something unique home.
They have great garden tools and gazebos.

Who doesn't like to go on a treasure hunt? Everyone's in a while you're just fine some incredible finds. Plus every once in a while with their crazy deals and all the givebacks. You can really make out just need to make sure that there's something there that you really want.

Pretty much can always find what you're looking for and decent prices.

A great unique store. You can find just about everything you can think of here. They change up the inventory to keep everything different. You can spend hours just walking around and getting great things.

Job Lots in general are a great place to find seasonal items and things you may need around the house for good prices, and the Brooklyn location is notwithstanding. My only gripe is the building is definitely showing it’s age and due for a refresh.

Many times getting crazy deals, the staff here is super friendly and helpful. Most recently was able to redeem some of my ship to store crazy deal dollars. I did not have my email with me, and the help desk was very helpful to do this

Ocean state is an everything store! Like a commercialized yard sale site. You are easily able to find a variety of pantry staples, locally produced foods (polar soda and switch carbonated beverages come to mind.) You also can find seasonal items, rugs, pet care, food storage, you name it and the probably have some of it. I never go in with specific purchases in mind but always leave with things we need/use. Thier loyalty program and coupons are fantastic for already low priced items as well.

Ok I go no where else for unique foods and honey, bruschetta, high end tuna in jars and much more. It's like a year around treat, you'll never know what you find. Socks, art supplies, chocolate and coffee. This store has made me a better cook as trying new things is always a deal. Better than Walmart.

Ocean State Job Lot in Brooklyn, CT is a terrific store! It's clean, they have a decent selection of merchandise, the people are very helpful. I love that store, I always find more than what I went in to buy! Great deals! ♥

My five star rating is for the hard-working and overworked front end staff.

However I'm very disappointed in management. One of the front end cashiers was reprimanded and spoken down to by management within public earshot. Meanwhile 5 or so managers were standing around doing nothing while the lines were increasing. A case of the proverbial too many chiefs and not enough Indians. It wouldn't hurt those "Chief" managers to get behind the cash register in order to set a positive example for their employees.

I love Ocean State Job Lot! They have Crazy Deals where they give you back the amount you paid for the product, making it FREE. For example I paid $12 foa three tee shirts and got a gift card, usable the next day. They also have bigger deals like an outdoor canopy for $800 and you get an Crazy Deal card, good to use the next day on anything except Crazy Deals.
Bought some nice shop lights for my garage, FREE! Can't beat that!

I came home Wednesday night (4/26) from shopping at Ocean State and found my wallet missing! After frantically calling, I returned to the store to learn the crew had already scoured the register area and parking lot. They were super-gracious to this very frazzled customer and offered to have the camera tape checked to see what it had recorded of my purchase. The manager reported that I had not returned the wallet to my handbag but had stuffed it into a bag of material I had brought for matching. My wallet was safe at home! I felt about two inches high at that point, but then we all laughed at my absent-mindedness. They were so very kind. I am commending the two clerks and manager for their excellent service. Thank you!
