Birdsong Books

Popped in with friends and to our suprise it was black owned!! We learned that the owner passed and left it to her daughter. We definitely supported and made purchases!! The clerk prayed with us and was so kind and friendly. I will certainly continue to support online for future purchases!!❤🖤💚🙏🏿

Sending my condolences and well wishes to Birdsong Books staff as well as the family and friends of the owner. She seemed like such a sweet and beautiful soul. It’s a shame that I never knew about this place before her untimely death. Whenever the bookstore is able to reopen I would love to support ❤❤❤

Beautiful location! There are so many books to choose from, new and used. The children loved browsing and eventually choosing a book to take home. The gift section had cute items and great smelling candles. We will definitely be back!

Staff and owner are super nice! A good selection for a small bookstore. Would love a small section for other religions in addition to the vast Christian section, but highly enjoyed hanging out in store. Both times we've been there, people have been hanging out and chatting, so I love the welcoming vibe.

Staff was super sweet and I could tell they really loved what they do. They have a lot of used books which is great as well as a program where you can return books for store credit. Nice store and great ambience. I would 100% go back again!

This place blew my mind. I'm not joking. The staff was friendly and informative. I bought several books as Xmas gifts and sat there and did work on my laptop. perfect place to get away. The only thing was missing was a free manicure.. lol. Nah seriously, I'm grateful that I have a place so close to my house where I can bring my kids to not only buy, but sit and actually read. Thank you Beth for your help

The staff here is great! I love the kind words and offers of assistance. The only thing I am not a fan of is their selection. Majority of their books are used. The books they do have that are new aren’t going to be of interest to everyone. They’re just trendy books. I wish their selection was thoughtful with amazing classics and just books that appeal to those who want to escape in the false reality of an interesting story.

I've never been to this store but I'm sure I would have had I lived closer. God bless the family,patrons & friends of the owner. I pray you find peace & justice.

I went to this store becuse My son said the saw a new book store in the area near one of our favorive restaurants. When we first walekd in we felt the warmth of customer service, not overwhelming just enough to make us feel special. We saw that the owners spent time in arranging the store with care and considderation. We went into Birdsong just to browse but Beth showed us a plethora of books when I mentioned our readinig interest and style. Before leaving I spent waaayyyy over than intended amount, No regrets, I gifted several members and they all gave me the same response,,,,,,WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS BOOK, I COULDN'T FIND IT. I'm just thankful that our time was well spent and i ;ove the store hours. I will definetely return soon.

Very nice hidden gem. The owner and staff are very kind, informative and welcoming. I love the selections. My favorite is the coffee mugs.
