Having recently moved to this area I've tried several bigger stores before coming here. I was delighted to find it as it's an outstanding little supermarket that is very clean and well kept and carries a lot of staples, as well as great fruit and veg. The staff are friendly and helpful and it has a nice homely and friendly vibe. It's really well placed if you're using the station at Ayer as well.

This location is great for Shopping. Good food very fresh not hard to get to for a location for Food about two minutes from the police station. right across the street from Family Dollar. Overall pricing here for Food is great.

Shop 'n Save is an excellent small supermarket. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. I am always able to find what I need, and I can shop quickly because of the small size and abundance of nice people manning the checkout lines. They also have some really nice premium products made by Boar's Head, not only plenty of deli meats and cheeses but also a lot of Boar's Head items I had never seen, such as bacon, sausage and dips. A fancy store would charge much higher prices for these. I know this from direct experience.

Also, they have a beer selection that is far better than an average liquor store. This is extremely convenient.

And so I highly recommend that you give Ayer Shop 'n Save a try. You will be glad you did.

The store itself is a small mom n pops neighborhood grocery store. It had everything I was looking for at comparable prices. The store itself was clean, and the staff was very helpful and professional. I personally like supporting such businesses. I would recommend it to anyone.

Our hometown grocery store is better than ever inside and out they did a great job of turning it into a much more appealing place to shop with more selections, better prices, and very clean.

Great store! Love the smaller portions and take and bake stuff. Great for smaller trips, would not want to stock up for a large family here. More like a superette than asupermarket

Not a large store, but if you like to shop without a huge crowd, this is your store. For a store this size, they have a wonderful selection of goods and they sell beer and wine. They have a great selection of Boar's Head, and a great meat selection. Prices are definitely competitive. Wonderful store to have in the neighborhood.

Best place to buy food in the area. This is where I go when I need to stock up because the prices are good, the selection is good, and they're always adding new things to try. It's not a massive grocery but the staff takes excellent care of the food and the customer. Even during that crazy food rush at the start of the pandemic their shelves were always stocked and I never was stuck in long lines. Ayer Shop n Save is an asset to the community I highly recommend.

Great family owned grocery store. They have the best produce & meat in a 10 mile radius! Employees are always helpful & go out if their way to make sure you get what you need. This is the only grocery store that I physically go into it's always clean & the staff are absolutely wonderful!

I mean just for the sheer convenience, this place is essential. Family Dollar will only get you so far. For bigger grocery trips I still usually prefer the nearest market basket. However I love being able to pick up milk, lettuce, diapers (the good kind), baby wipes, eggs, butter, cooking oil, bread, etc less than a mile away. Any essentials you might need on short notice that you don't want to do a whole shopping trip for. I am so grateful for this store, it has a somewhat limited selection, but every time I need something and don't want to go far, I go here and my needs are always met. Friendly staff in my limited interactions here.

Good food, not crowded when we go. Good staff. They have hannaford meat, which is typically just about butcher quality. Prices are like hannaford. And the best part is they're only 10 minutes/8 miles from us and a very pleasant daytime drive from Groton. This will probably be our go-to grocery store from now on.

I wish to let other shoppers know of my experience this past week at Shop & Save. First of all the employees I came in touch with were outstanding. So willing to help me. I needed two very large turkeys and Daniel was so helpful. I ended up getting two at 25lbs & 26lbs. Daniel said they would defrost them for me and cut one of them up as well. They will be ready on Wed. Ready to cook @ 39 cents a lb. That’s what I call a bargain
I went to use the rest room and saw an employee waiting to mop the floor. Women’s room was available as she just cleaned it. When I came out I told her it was very clean and she had done an excellent job. Her smile and nod of her head told me she doesn’t hear that very often. It doesn’t take but a minute to tell someone what a good job they are doing and it sometimes makes an ok day become a great day in feelings.
This store has many sales that are great. I purchased small sirloin steaks for $3.50 — $3.79 a package. They were delicious and my husband loved them at a very low cost. I went back and bought six more pkgs for my daughters family as well. I also purchased several pkgs of boneless pork ribs for $1.50–$1.70 a pkg which was a great buy. I love the store and the staff as well. I hope we customers from Ayer will frequent this store as I would not want to go all the way to Groton or Littleton to shop!

Very nice "small town" grocery store. Appears to have a relationship with Hannefords based on product selection, but I appreciated that it felt more like a large market than a supermarket.
