I walked into the store with the intent of just trying on a pair of Redwing Heritage in 8"
The gentleman there was so friendly, knowledgeable, and a downright customer service master. In minutes, I was on a platform getting a digital model of my foot while he explained the process. (My ankle has had many surgeries on, by the way), and he brought both the size I THOUGHT I wore and then his recommendation and why, based on the digital model. He was spot on, of course. From start to finish, the saleman at the Benson Rd Location in Anchorage was simply incredible. I was never so happy to drop my hard earned money down as I was today. I walked out with a smile, wearing my new boots out. Me happy I had spent money? It's a rare event indeed.

Store is very clean and well laid out. Welcoming staff. Very knowledgeable. Asked questions to determine what boot would best fit my needs. Gave me the information I needed to make a purchase I would be comfortable in and happy with.

Excellent experience. From the moment we walked in to when we left, we were treated very well and the owner answered all our questions, and had me try on several boots. Super knowledgeable and you can tell he believes in the brand.

I explained to the salesman what I wanted: 6" boot , waterproof, great support in the sole and a big toe box. That narrowed it down sufficiently to 1 boot and they had it in my size. No pressure to buy...

The level of knowledge, experience, and honesty are unlike anything I have come across in a retail store. The owner of this store is reminiscent of the cobblers of old that knew how to fit you just right, whether you knew at the moment or not. Combine that with some fine modern technology in 3D foot scanning and you've got an A+ retail store. Give these guys a visit, you won't regret it, even if you don't buy anything!....Yet!

It was a good experience from the time you walk in the door. Pete asked what I needed, heard my previous issues I had with boots and made suggestions and provided insight to getting the best pair for what I needed.

Dude was super nice at the counter and led me in the right direction without ever being too pushy. He just let me do my thing.
Was ready to retire a super rad off brand pair of Fred meyer casual combat boots. This store had a style that was exactly like mine, but built to last. Super helpful, very honest about the product.
Glad this store exists so I can actually try on instead of online shopping for a not so great, or unfit pair of shoes.

Peter was excellent at listening to the requirements for my boots, and offered multiple boots that would meet and exceed my needs. He quickly assessed what size and width would be best and explained to me why each shoe would be a better fit. I left with the best fitting boots of my life.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I have issues finding the right shoe, and normally the salesperson doesn’t know how to fit me. I went into the Benson store and was out and satisfied in 20 minutes. The owner (Pete) was very attentive and really showed that he loves his work. He seemed almost giddy about every aspect of the process and was a breath of fresh air with his positivity.

A very knowledgeable and professional salesperson inside to make sure my experience in work boot selection was as close to rocket engineering as it could be, with lots of high tech gadgets to focus on stabity, protection and comfort. He told me my foot size to the .01", and that my heal recieves a higher amount than normal, and was able to identify a precise insole to remedy my personal walking stride. Pretty cool.

I’m 35 and have worked in construction my whole career, am absolute hell on boots. I’ve been skiing since I was 5- and I’ve never walked away from ANY boot fitter with a better fit on my feet than what Pete sent me out the door with today. Learned a bunch too, this guy is a true professional. Not many like this anymore!

Walked in the door at 4:45pm on Saturday. I kind of already knew what I wanted, but it turns out the boot I had been looking at didn't fit my specifications.

The very helpful man took one quick look at my work boots and found a different pair that fit perfectly. He helped me with the liners and putting in the laces.

I was out and paid for in 14 minutes. He even still had me in the system from when I purchased boots there 11 years prior. Top notch customer service!

I've been buying from this man for years. He's always been informational and helpful. Everytime I go in for a pair of boots he always helps me out. No other shoe store provides the service he does.

Great service at this store. I went a couple months ago for safety toe boots. They actually do have some female options there for safety toe, which is nice as I didn’t see that anywhere else in town. I was sort of set on a size, but the person working insisted I try a few different sizes. Turns out he was right - actually a different size from what I originally wanted was better. The staff definitely know their stuff. Two months into my new job, wearing the boots every single day and very happy with it.
