Menards

Menards has one of the most extensive selections of plumbing parts in the entire Chicagoland area. You name it, they have it. Also, their (Rheem) water heater selection is equally extensive and priced very competitively, but I really like their Power Vent water heaters. My previous Power Vent water heater lasted 26 years (it was also purchased at Menards).

Can’t go wrong with this place! Basically anything you need including groceries! Growing up I’ve always hated Menards and loved Home Depot, but now as a home owner, I only come here. That is, I only come here if I don’t care about the brand. They don’t carry too many quality brands other then Bosch, but the price makes up for it. Bathrooms are at the front btw.

Overall, a very good experience. Was looking for a weird shelving configuration and was able to find it at menards. The sales associate was helpful in helping me locate what I needed for my project. It's nice to see cashiers at the counters versus all the self service checkouts. Was able to take advantage of an eleven percent rebate that they offered. This ended up to be a nice savings of about fifty buck. The home improvement business is quite competitive and menards. Does a good job staying right there with the bigger competition.

Today was the first I went to the Menards at Homer Glen. I was pleasantly surprised to find such an incredibly helpful employee, Mazin, who went above and beyond what I expected. Mazin was so patient with me in helping me decide what to buy to make a fence around my vegetable garden. He answered all my questions and gave me all my options. He was extremely helpful and was very detailed and made sure I got everything I needed for my DIY project. He even went through the trouble to get me the specific U-posts I needed that hadn’t been placed on the shelf yet. He is truly a great asset to the store!

We love menards we own Diamond Basement Finishing and Bathroom Remodeling and get a lot of our materials from them.

Nice clean store with wide aisles. Everything was load out nicely with wide signs. Couldn't find the bird seed...but once I was told where it was it made sense. Seems they really check to make sure everything is replaced when people drop it off where ever they might be. My only thought is this store is laid out opposite of the other 2 I've been in. Same footprint just opposite of what you expect. Over all...a really nice, clean store.

Ordered some custom polished tile, super quick and the service was great. Staff are knowledgeable and can help guide you on your home projects. Plus, show you everything you need so you don't have to come back!

I love Menards more than any store. I never knew what it was until one opened up by me and I applied for a job. I loved the job and people at the first store and all the customers and GM's because they noticed real workers and great personality but it wasn't same at another store I went to. It was not well managed so I left. Regardless I am loyal to the store itself and FYI Larry Menard is awesome (never met John).
Menards has a comfortable feel and an organization that is superior to other hardware stores. The other stores feel like warehouses and are too blah for my taste. Those other places just store the stock and you buy it. Menards puts more care and time into making an exceptional shopping experience. They care more in my opinion and I love the layout. 11% off everything is my favorite sale. Went there yesterday and going back today because I see 11% starts today again. 😄🤗👍

This store is very conscious about the Covid-19 epidemic, without going overboard. It's clean, the employees are polite and helpful. It's also organized and easy to find things. If you have any questions there are many people who can answer them or give you to someone else who can if they can't

Great sale prices for home goods, hardware paint and more. Christmas items are quality and low priced. Helpful employees

I have been to plenty of stores in my life and I don’t think I have ever encountered the 5 star level of assistance I received from a gentleman named Payton in the paint department. My girlfriend asked him every question she possibly could About repainting our kitchen and he answered every question with great information behind it as to why he was giving the answer. I then asked a few questions about redoing my deck and he was also knowledgeable about that. He deserves acknowledgement for the great level of customer service he provides.

Employees are always real nice and helpful. I like the "store" feel of Menards in comparison to the warehouse feel of Home Depot. I feel like they have more inventory and selection as well.

I still prefer Menards over the other DYI stores, but I find, increasing, that employees don't know their own inventory.
I certainly don't know all they carry, but neither do they. If I can't find what I'm looking for right away, I'll ask someone.
But usually all I receive is a blank stare and a "Uhh, I'm not sure."
To which I'll reply,
"OK, can you find out please?"
Maddening!

This facility always has what I am looking for and then some. The finds can be surprising and the rebate certainly helps in this economy. Great Black Friday deals and prices.

Rachel x3 are really great menards employees. They all 3 were very helpful. One had only been working there for 6 months and she knew how to take care of a tricky register problem with a large order I had. Thanks for all the great work. They also don't give anyone a hard time any more for not wearing the face mask and thats great.

No other home goods store at this caliber hits like Menards. Employees are always happy. I'm always getting a rebate. The place is bright, clean, and the kids (employees/staff) are able to answer me and my rookie level questions with a smile on their faces.

Menards is just a great place to shop! Aside from a massive lumber yard, and all the usual home improvement stuff... There's just some things you can get there you can't get anywhere else. Sometimes my wife and I go and just walk around and idea shop... we call it going on Safari.

Soooooo excited to Black Friday shop here this year. Got close parking, not 1 but2 carts AND many open lanes! Got everything that I was looking for with help from friendly, knowledgeable staff!

Love their selection of lumber and always seem to have everything we need.

I was pleasantly helped by a girl named Nancy Krahe it was my first time at a store she made me feel at home and sent me in the right direction I'm glad you have people that work as hard as she does it made my experience very pleasant
