Best place in town for magazines, newspapers, and gift items.

People working weren't the warmest BUT the selection makes up for it, a lot of variety, never boring going in there.

This an eclectic shop with an assortment of magazines and short stories as well as cards for many occasions. In addition to a small selection of cigars, beverages, and ice cream/ candy not to mention the fun variety of small gifts available for reasonable prices. It's a mini adventure for the day or a place to grab a small gift.

I love Newsbeat! The owners are so kind, and there is often a very sweet great Dane named Sam behind the counter who loves pets. The store is so thoughtfully curated, and they have the largest selection of Jelly Cat stuffed animals I've ever seen! The also have tons of amazing high quality jigsaw puzzles which is hard to find. It's the perfect place to find a gift for someone, or just to browse around on a rainy Saturday afternoon. 10/10 would recommend

I do not know where my life would be if there had not always been some sort of magazine stand in my immediate vicinity. Newsbeat is the best in town, best in the county and best in the state. There used to be Tower Books in Sacramento. All gone. Terrance and wife are great business people, quintessential small business operators. You will not go wrong spending your money at Newsbeat.

Great place to get your daily news and various sundries. It is nice to stop in on any day of the week to pickup the latest news, a magazine, or a gift for for a special occasion. Plenty of options to choose from. The Newsbeat is a wonderful downtown Davis business.

The owners are fantastic people. Always a pleasure to stop in and say hi.

Newsbeat is an awesome store with so many wonderful gifts. I love going in there and never leave without buying something.

You can find interesting knick knacks for the bibliophile in your life. They have a good selection of Davis souvenirs. It's a good place for visitors and tourists to visit. They also have cigars.

I always come here when looking for gift wrapping and cards! I've had a couple of really deeply moving interactions with the people behind the counter, they're super kind and lovely people.

A local treasure! Lots of quirky items and a great selection of magazines! The owner is incredibly nice and welcoming. This is one of my favorite places to go.

Huge selection of magazines. Many I had never heard of before. Some stationery at front - bought some Rothko thank you cards here. Because nothing says thank you like two slightly overlapping, primary colors.

Our go-to spot for greeting cards and candy bars. We don't take advantage of the newspaper and magazine offerings, but there are a lot of them. Run by some very nice folks.

Great lit zines, foreign and off beat magazines and curio gifts. Too bad a shop has to sell tobacco products to be profitable.
