I had the opportunity to work with the Paper Place team on invitations for Austin Angels’ Angel Ball, and it was an incredible experience! Great store, great place to find creativity! I looked all over Austin for thank you notes with a classic and special tree design . They had 2 boxes , and offered to hold them for me . The cards were lovely — good quality and reasonably priced . It’s also a great place to get paper products and stocking stuffers . I’m so glad this store survived the pandemic, challenging weather , and economic stresses . It’s a great place to find what you can’t find in other stores !

We worked closely with Liz from Paper Place for our wedding invitation suite and signage and couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Absolutely stunning and every bit as unique as we were hoping for our new orleans wedding! Highly recommend!

I love this store! All the beautiful Christmas cards, 2021 calendars, fine paper items, children's things, and special Texas souvenirs are reasonably priced since a lot of those items are hard to find. I even found an assortment of bookplates! I might be one of the few people still around who use bookplates!

They carry Jelly Cat soft stuffed animals too. Jelly Cat is one of the best brands!

In addition, they are taking great precautions to keep customers safe from Covid by asking that you wear a mask and sanitize your hands upon entering.

I had a wonderful experience at paper place. I needed help picking out the perfect wrapping paper for a gift to someone special so I walked in. When I explained what I needed, Deana showed me around the store, explained the different options, and I found the perfect paper! I met Liz at the register and she helped me cash out. Liz was also knowledgeable about the paper products and both associates were incredibly kind. I returned later for Christmas paper and Haley remembered me and helped me cash out. Paper place is splendid. I will be doing business with them for years to come.

This is one of my all time favorite shops in Austin. They have an amazing selection of all things paper. Notecards, personalized stationary, fabulous pens, local gifts and the cutest/most fun wrapping paper. Walking in the front door instantly boosts my mood. Stop in and you won't shop anywhere else.

One of my favorite shops in Austin. They have unique and excellent selection of gifts, picture frames, cards, stationery and candles. My go to shop for birthdays, holidays etc. - I always find something for others (and for myself!) Been shopping here for years- it's consistent and always has a great selection.

Didn't have the notebook type I was looking for but found so many other stationary, stickers, writing materials, and gift ideas.

This place is amazing, definitely will be coming back here. I am a noob at fountain pens and this place carries a great assortment of different inks that I have been wanting to try for a while. Some of the inks you will find are Noodler's, Diamine, Pilot Iroshizuku, Robert Oster - just to name a few. They also carry a good amount of fountain pens brands like Lamy, Kaweco, and Pilot from what I was looked at. Overall this place might be small from the outside but it contain so many cool gems on the inside. Highly recommend and staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!

Came here for the first time to get an EF travel fountain pen for annotating books and some ink to match the cover. First off: the store was VERY cool. If you're someone that bullet journals this is going to be your go-to spot. Lots of every kind of pen and pencils, lots of journals and moleskins, pencil cases, etc, but also some novelty stuff which was fun. The person helping me with the fountain pens was knowledgeable and friendly. They also had halloween stuff. Atmosphere was silly but in a small detail kind of way, and it felt really welcoming. For sure going to come back for more ink and/or pen in the future.

My fiance and I were visiting Austin from Berkeley a few months back, and decided to stop by Paper Place for some wedding invitation inspiration. After seeing the quality and skill of the team, we decided we'd order our invites there. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole process & how they turned out! Diana worked with us to make sure they captured the full aesthetic we were going for, and did it all in our somewhat smaller budget. Her and Jen helped ensure an enjoyable & hassle free process. They are a wonderful team. We've already received several comments on how beautiful they are. I highly recommend Paper Place!

This store is an amazing train wreck of everything you want / didn't plan on buying. Pricing ranges from reasonable to expensive. But seriously, you need to have a plan in what you need, get in and out with some self control or you will seriously make some monetary damage in that place. I love that they are expanding their fountain pen selection and they always have high quality paper/journals/planners. I will always be back.

There aren't many stationery stores in town, but even if there were, this one is exceptional. I'm not sure how long I have been visiting, but almost certainly since high school, so for over 16 years now. They have a *fabulous* selection of knickknack-y items, some of which are useless but fun, others which are extremely helpful while also fun and unique, and several that are simply beautiful to have in one's accumulation of life's treasures: Bags, picture frames, all sorts of stationery (desk organization, file folders, clips, stickers, pens, etc), fun AND useful stuff for kids (toys, books, lunch or misc. bags), prints.

They do have paper, of course; they carry a wide selection of greeting and other-your cards, but they are especially wonderful for custom invitations, announcements, etc. In fact, I had my wedding invitations made here back in 2007 (though I wrote them, so I have to brag on myself for that) and I am still in love with them. But of everything they carry, their notebook and journal selection is on-freaking-point. I can't walk into the store without buying some type of black book.

I think I could live here.

A longstanding, local business that went above and beyond on our wedding stationary. They helped us with our day-of paper goods (menus, name cards, and signs) and were amazing people to work with! Highly recommend working with this local shop instead of an online vendor!

Stumbled in here while waiting for our dinner mates to arrive at Central Market, and so happy I did! Great selection of notebooks and pens! Left with an adorable notebook and plan on heading back that way in a couple weeks to pick up another notebook for my birthday gift to myself!!
