Zara's Lil' Giant Supermarket & Po-boys

Interesting local grocery store. They had a garlic flavored tobasco I hadnt sees probably because its debut-ing here in Nawlins. Anyway the panola pepper is never hot but purchased some anyway as it was on the shelf. Anyway I ordered a catish platter by the deli and they sell big easy kombucha. They also have some meats they cook and keep warm under heat lamp. Not bad for a local store

Great neighborhood market & deli institution. Poboys there give any NOLA joint a run for its money (try the hot sausage). Has most everything you need for cooking & drinking, along with very friendly, hard-working staff. I find myself there at least a few times a week.

OMG...You must try their Sweet Heat Pickles unless you are easily addicted. It's a habit I can't break. DELICIOUS‼

Best roast beef po' boy in New Orleans. The shrimp is really good too and is in my top 3.

This is our neighborhood market. Such a great place. They've got so much - little giant is quite appropriate. Their po-boys are just wonderful. My mom and I order those way more than we should. They're very good. There's a great selection of fruits & veggies and a generous meat and dairy section. The place really does pack your whole shopping list into one little store. And then on your way out, you can always grab a fried pie at the register.

Super cool, old-time grocery store. Staff was friendly. Po' boys and hush puppies were phenomenal! Such a cool find.

I regularly go here for groceries and the shrimp po-boy. Grocery stock is good, plenty of fresh produce. Po-boys are stuffed and delicious. And the staff are kind and caring. Will happily continue shopping here!

A Great little neighborhood grocery spot. Good, Fresh produce. Nice deli items fresh seafood. I like being able to get some good staple items without walking a huge supermarket where everything is so far apart. Staff is always friendly. Definitely good local vibe.

Great selection for a small space. Fresh produce and fresh cut meats are always available. The prepared foods section offers a lot of variety. Boiled crawfish is inexpensive. There is some outdoor seating and easy parking in getting. A great neighborhood spot.

Awesome eatery! Wish I lived in the neighborhood. Some of the best food in NOLA. Saturday 1/2 pound burgers on the grill are incredible. Thank Al, keep up the good work! (My son having a double!!)

I love Zara's. It's not quite walking distance like when I lived nearby but I'm happy whenever I can take a detour to shop there. So much more than a corner store but just as convenient, and everybody that works there is soooo friendly and helpful. Love to order a shrimp po boy and while they make it, pick out sides from the prepared food section (I see you, white beans). Sometimes I don't realize I need something til I see it there, like a container of cooked rice (to go with those beans) or plain spaghetti for less than $2. They also have a good hot bar but I'm not sure what time they close it down. Enjoy and support Zara's!

1st time shopper. I really enjoyed my shopping experience with Zara's. Also, ordered a Shrimp Plate & Shrimp Po-boy. I have three words to say....DE-LI-CIOUS!!!!

The best lil giant supermarket! Their poboys are some of my favorite in town, get the sweet heat pickles on the shrimp poboy and add hot sauce

I've loved Zara's for years. I used to live near their other store that was located on Prytania near Josephine. I was sad when that one closed but I'm glad to shop at the other location. They're always friendly and they have just what I want.

Very tasty and delicious food. The cooks are genius however business gets very crowded during holidays due to the sheer size of the building mixed with the amount of community lunch referrals

On a recent trip to New Orleans, I found myself stuck in an afternoon shower, I ran inside this lovely grocery store to get a sandwich, and it was superb! I definitely will go back when I'm in NOLA!

Efficient neighborhood store that appears to have been nicely and recently renovated. Good selection of fresh foods and also lots of different beers.
