Rainbow Grocery

Rainbow grocery is the kind of a little hole in the wall convenience store in New Orleans that – when you actually get in there - opens up to all manner of convenience.

From the cash register, I could not see the fact that they had an awesome wine selection and alcohol, coffee service, and even a hot food kitchen.

Moried, our host at the cash register, told me that he moved here from Palestine 15 years ago. Between his income from cashiering and also construction work, he finds it possible to fly back to Palestine on a regular basis.

He was a very warm, soft-spoken, gracious host.

I recommend this little store highly.

Thank God for a Late Night Place to get some hot food to go that doesn't charge excessively & it's quality home cooking.
More businesses should follow the example stay open till 2am hire the right working people & make the customers happy. Seems conservative & friendly will definitely give repeat business. Wish they would do catering. Awsome!

They have the best Shrimp poboys, and they're really nice people.

My favorite corner store in the whole city! Been coming here for years. Don’t let the compact nature of the store fool you, they have everything you would need! Excellent liquor selection, and prices can’t be beat. Don’t forget about the small kitchen in the back, may I recommend the Philly cheesesteak and fries 10/10!

Why would anyone buy McDonalds/Burger King when Rainbow is just better?

I think this place might have had the best po'boy we had our entire trip. We went to catch the Organami show on Saturday, May 27 at Le Bon Temps Roule, and walked over here to get a sandwich during their set break. It was so amazingly good!!!

Very good beer selection for a neighborhood corner store.

Great little corner store. They have a lot of essentials, a great beer and liquor selection and the kitchen in the back should not be ignored. And they are always nice.

The little sandwich spot in the back isn't much to look at, but damn they make a good poboy! The guy working there is quick and friendly, as we're the other people in the shop. Also, this little spot is open till 2am on Saturday!

Cook great po boys clothes at 2 a.m.

We had a late night shrimp poboy. The guy told us that it would be the best we've had and he wasn't lying. Best one I had in a while. Definitely will make a trip from the WB to here for another

Awesome liquor and beer selection. Food is delicious and prices are fair. I was a regular here for a while before having to move; if they didn't have what I wanted they would always try to accommodate me. These guys are great.

One of the best corner stores in the city. The family that runs it are always super friendly and helpful. Stocked floor to ceiling, with an amazing selection of beer, wine, and liquor. But don’t come through too fast, or you’ll miss the tiny grill in the back, slinging impressive burgers, po boys and fries.

Best corner store in town. Moe knows everybody in the neighborhood, and good burgers

insane collection of liquors and beers for a corner store. one of the best $7 shrimp poboys I've ever had. do not forget to walk to the back corner and get you some food. VERY nice and helpful staff.

Kind staff, excellent selection of wine, beer, and liquor, convenient hours, the person working behind the counter was very knowledgeable about brands of liquor and their availability. Prices are very competitive, a few dollars less for the bourbon we were looking for.
